boiling water in a pot the traditional way is also an option to avoid plastic kettles but if you don’t mind the price of a beautifully designed piece of a kitchen equipment and you have a space for that, then why not, it looks very pleasant. I also like that it is rather quiet and that it doesn’t make a noise at the end of boiling unlike many other fancy design kettles.
Thanks for sharing this amazing review! wonder how does the kettle look like after a few months of use and your thoughts on it (maybe another video - pros/cons). have a great one
Thanks for a soldi review of the Aarke water kettle. I have just ordered it after seeing review and I found it at reasonable price here In Norway . The best from the northern regions of Norway where they sun is back
I don't know how they have mounted it but it's not in the boiling chamber, you can see it's entirely empty. Wherever it is it doesn't come into contact with the boiling water.
Thank you! With every day use I don't think you will get to many fingerprints on the main part of the kettle, I haven't seen any on mine as you will be just using the handle but it does come with a polishing cloth if you see any fingerprints.
I think your review is fantastic, and it helped me to get my Aarke. I love the kettle and it checks all the boxes, except for one: it is a dreadful fingerprint magnet. It's a shame, because it's a beautiful object. I so wish they would make this kettle in brushed stainless steel. There needs to be a PSA for this.
Glad you found it helpful, thanks for your comments. I haven't found mine too bad, I wipe it every few days and it looks great but it does show the fingerprints for sure!
@@QXReviews For sure! Despite smudges (which I now avoid with a microfiber cloth trick - wrap it around my hand when closing the lid or handling it), it's the best kettle I've ever had. Hoping for future models in fingerprint-proof finishes! Thanks again for the detailed and helpful review!
The two things this kettle is missing is a keep warm, and max and min markers on both sides. I’d say it lacks a temp gauge but those things are never accurate. For the price, it should have those, but it makes up for it with a cool down gage and also just being quick. My Fellow Corvo is slow and the temp control is busted. I’ll take this one.
As a follow-up, it’s been quick and lovely. It has one issue: you can’t lift it directly up from the base or it sticks to the base. You can get around this by tilting it a little in any direction. Aarke support has been great about it. I don’t want to return the kettle so they gave me 10% off my next purchase as a thanks for showing them the issue and for help tracking this as a problem. It’s loosened up a bit since getting it, so it might work itself out over time.
A cheap Swan kettle from 10 years ago has the quality of an expensive kettle since manufacturers have continuously reduced the quality of materials over time. My cheap Swan kettle has no plastic at all in the boiling compartment, find me a cheap one these days with no plastic.
Hi. Do you know what that black thing underneath the top lid is made of? The water seems like it will touch it. Kind regards from maybe a future buyer of this product 😄
That's the rubber seal, you need that to keep the steam in and the water will not touch this as it's out of the boiling area and is sandwiched between the two metal surfaces when the lid is closed.
Such a BS kettle. There is tons of plastic in the lid area. Is that sealing silicone or plastic. ? Either way it's not 100 stainless steel kettle. There are other $40 kettle that is one piece stainless steel design. This one even has temperature sensor at the bottom where again, is sealed with plastic or silicone. You might say well, the plastic never gets contact directly with water. That's not true, because of the temperature sensor sealing at the bottom. Second with hot steam all around the lid the condensation and hot steam will heat up the plastic and drip down. At $200 would you compromise? No.
Buying a rolls Royce to drive to the shops is as well 😂 it’s just what people do …unless you have the cheapest things ever …which I very much doubt but thanks for your input I’ve taken a lot away from it ……😂
Water is the main source of fuel the body needs, not just any water, but poison free structured water. Failure to invest in such, is the reason for many problems in life.

Very pleased to hear it, thank you for your kind comment.
Really good review, thank you.
You're welcome, thanks for watching.
Thinking about buying one. How do you like it so far since using it for about 5 months now?
How is the kettle holding up? Does the water touch the silicone ring at the top when you are pouring into a cup? Many thanks!
How about that temp sensor on the bottom. Every kettle I have seen has a silicone o-ring around it. Cheers!

Hi, love your detailed breakdown of the kettle. Can I ask does it leave fingerprints?

Not sure comparing a £200 product to a cheap Swan kettle is a real comparison

@@QXReviews Quite sure it comes in contact with the water when you pour it, unless you pour really slow, because the area to pour with is so small.
Thanks for the review, I love it
You're welcome, it's a great kettle.
You could have cooked a tea with the water :D
You're right! I should have made a cup of tea while I was making the video. 🙂

300 bucks to boil water is ridiculous.
