Great advice! I agree wholeheartedly with you. At 58 I decided to go back to school and take cosmetology. I took it through a community college as a two year, 1500 hour program. I have one more year and it IS hard...but not impossible. It is very expensive and I’d like to add, meeting with the head instructor prior to enrolling to find out ALL costs would be so helpful. I borrowed money based on what my student advisor said and what the campus bookstore (where I purchased all supplies) said. First day of class I found out that we had to come to class dressed in solid black nursing scrubs, socks, shoes, etc. There were so many mannequins, and other supplies/kits that weren’t listed on the initial cost. The classes aren’t as long as yours, thank goodness, but it was 4-5 days per week . At my age, I was the oldest student and the others called me their cosmetology mom. Hang in there, do your research, ask questions, watch videos like this, be informed BEFORE you pay that tuition! Thank you for your candid advice Ashley! Love your work! 💇🏻♀️
I've been in school for almost 2 years due to covid delaying my graduation time. This is probably the worst Cosmo school in my city I haven't learned anything and the teachers are all rude and lazy. Thank you for being my RUclips teacher I've learned more from you than my own professors!
Thank you for the tips! I’m currently in school. In Texas the hours now are 1000 and it’s a lot to learn in that little of time. I’ve been stressing out and it’s only been a month 😰
