Love mine, I've played guitars and had guitars over double to triple the price of this beast. And I would pick my g300 every single time for any genre and any live or recording environment. It's a beast in every way, but can become a sweet singing beauty as well. It can do it all. Couldn't care less about the name on the headstock - this is a true guitarists guitar!
Literally getting mine in Vivid Burgundy tomorrow. So seeing an updated walkthrough today, seems just so perfect. Hoping for many many years of guitar bliss. You guys rock !!
I've had mine a month just over now and it is the best guitar I have ever played. That includes some pricey charvels and fenders as well as a suhr that this reminds me of except I actually prefer the sound and playability of the cort. It has sidelined many of my guitars, especially for recording. These pickups are the dogs bollocks. SD apparently says this combo is his personal all time devouring and I see why. Hope you are enjoying that beautiful giitar, don't care what people say about the name on the headstock, that is the last thing I care about when it comes to quality guitars. If it's a high level guitar it's a high level guitar, who cares what's written on the headstock. Many people will never know the amazing experience of having one of these because of that fact though. I think Cort deserve their due now for sure!!
I already have a black one G300 Pro. Good guitar. Only thing I dislike is the sharpness of the saddle on bridge. Hurts so much while palm mute. Can you make G300 pro with a fixed bridge? Would be cool if you can bring flame top to 300 pro version. Thanks for SS frets.
I agree, as long as its a full cap... the g290 fat 2 is a veneer and I have both that and the g300 pro as I loved everything about the g290 2 so had to go for the g300 because of all the amazing features. Its my no.1 guitar by miles. That includes great fender telecasters and other expensive makes. This blows everything out the water. Have kine in vivid burgandy.
@@NigelOdinson I have g300 pro in black. Wanted in burgundy but it was not available at the time of purchase, so got it in black. That bridge saddle on the low E string is really problematic. It's very sharp and it hurts (almost cuts) my palm specially while palm muting. I really wish they beveled or rolled that pointed sharp end on the saddle.
@@ratedrsuperstarthega tbh mate mine isn't bothering me at all so maybe the saddles haven't been rolled or sanded enough on your model. Possibly something you could do yourself or take it to your local luthier and they'll do it no problem :) Hope 6ou get it fixed because nothing should stop you playing this beast.
Saddles are very smooth on my black Cort G300 pro and my X700 duality which uses the same bridge. You can block the bridge with a wood shim and add more springs to make it like a fixed bridge.
@@danz4904 yeah, mine are very smooth too. Although I did pick up my g290 fat2 the other day and noticed they were pretty sharp, kind of painfully sharp if you aren't careful. But my g300 is perfect in every way. It blows every guitar I have outnof the water in all areas and some are nearly 3 times the price.

Gotta say, I was not expecting to hear Neil Young's Harvest Moon snuck in there... great playing as usual!
I want the purple in the gold finish. Nice trick with the lighting
The G290 in this video looks way better than the G300 gold. I wish Cort would upgrade the G290 with stainless steel frets. That would be awesome!
Excellent review
And what about stainless Steel frets?
Hi, thanks for the video. Do you have neck measturements (I mean thickness in 1st and 12th fret)
What's the width of the fret wires on this guitar? Jumbo or med jumbo?
Is it a real Seymour Duncan or just a licensed pickup?
Those are real Seymour Duncans. I got to set up and play one recently, and can confirm they are SD SH2N and TB4 humbuckers.
