This is the only guy who can sing that dirty and really sing at the same time. You can hear the pitch, no monotone. Fucking master.

I love that these guys play in standard tuning and still sound really heavy. It can still be done. No limits!
Look up "God Has Fallen" by Mors Principium Est. One of the heaviest standard-tuned songs I've ever heard.
If you think that 7-string, or 8 strings makes you heavy, you're wrong, the modern metal (if it's metal not just distorted guitars) is so soft, and pathetic.

Am I the only one that can imagine a orchestra of like cellos and violins in the back round? Some parts of sylosis's songs are majestic

Nate Williams Actually it's called Harmonising effect.. Either pedals or guitar processors have it or when two guitarists are playing in unison different but complimenting solo notes - it creates that harmonizing sound effect .. one of my favourite ones!
It definitely makes you feel like orchestrated cellos' and other lovely instrument's =)

I hope that the passage of his leader to the band Architect does not end up withering his compositional vein. Because at 43 years of age, and with a lifetime dedicated to listening to metal, few bands like this one have given me such epic feelings. Long live Sylosis!!!!!!!!!!!!
Josh is 100% committed to architects for now but his heart belongs to Slyosis , it's his band. He'll be back.

Wow. I am speechless. Never heard of this band before today. RUclips has been pushing Sylosis at me for weeks now and I just kept passing. Ive liked the same 4 bands for the past 15 years (Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage and Slipknot) and everything else sounded like complete shit to me for some reason.
Finally decided to click today and I'm completely blown away. Listened to all albums in one sitting today. Such an incredible band.
His voice reminds me of Joe from Gojira. This is awesome.

It amazes me how great these guys sound. The absolute second they tour near me I'm going. This is going to be the future of metal, and bands like Sylosis will be leading it.

They've been my favorite for about 6 years now. I started with Conclusion of an Age; and of course I've wore out all their albums, even The Supreme Oppressor.. But dude.. You don't know how rough it was checking youtube year after year seeing your favorite bands' songs with only 10,000- 20,000 views for what seemed like FOREVER. I can now die a happy man; they are getting recognition. Sylosis IS the best thrash Metal Band! (Since Slayer and the greats)

That solo is the best one I’ve heard so far. The only solo that comes close to it was the solo in Pain Remains I: Dancing Like Flames by Lorna Shore. No solo could ever come close to those two.

Why the ending of their songs are always the best part ?
Vinicius Airton Because they are one of the best technical bands around, the way their songs progress is literally amazing, just to think of the first riff in this song and hear the last one after a few minutes, it's mind blowing. Their songs flow perfectly and they're intense because they always have a build up to the climactic finale. Josh is a genius.

+TheGroumpfy they are somewhat progressive but i don't think they can be considered technical. Josh is a great guitarist but he often keeps it pretty simple. By simple i don't mean easy, but if we compare for example to Revocation which are more of a tech band there is a big difference

I cannot wait for their next album. dormant heart hit me like a train, was a mild fan for awhile but this was prolly my 2nd favorite album of 2015 and it came out in like January.

@@Captt95 He replied to a comment on a video on his channel : "Album is mostly recorded. Been all kinds of set backs time wise (like the studio being double booked etc) so it's taking a little longer to piece it together". This was 4 months ago, however.
