I see that the nova 7 has been on sale for $135-140 these past few months. I think people who spends more than $150 for a headset, just goes all the way to the nova pros which maybe why the nova 7 aren't selling well in comparison (i think) so they tried to fill in the gap by releasing the nova 4 at $120 to attract more buyers who are not looking to spend more than 150.
To me personally I don’t care that the mic is a little tinny. Imo the most important things are comfort, sound and durability. If the mic doesn’t sound broadcast quality I don’t care. As long as people understand what I’m saying that’s what matters to me. Unless you are a streamer I don’t really see the point why you’re mic has to be top grade. Just an opinion though and if you place mic quality at the top more power to ya!

I don't really care about Bluetooth and while the build is made of plastic, the joint seems more durable and it is ligher too, so if the audio and battery are on pair with the nova 7 then this is the one.
I hate software, plus sonar is only on pc, so when on pc I feel there is better software if needed (atmos) but again, I prefer none. Also many companies try pushing software on us, and all it leads to is marketing advertisement crap shoved in our faces. rant over, lol
Great review. My Arctis 9X are absolutely trashed due to that really terrible arm bracket (they are held together by hot glue and hope) My question is, are these on par with the 9X? The bracket looks so much better on these, will they pack the same punch, sound wise? Thanks a lot.
About a year ago I switched all my peripherals to steelseries and I couldn’t happier. Apex pro tkl(2023) arctis nova pro wired, QCK heavy pad, and prime plus mouse. I wish they would make a wireless sensei ten mouse! Maybe eventually lol.
@@jdm7755 I’ve had the opposite experience with Logitech. They sent me a replacement in a few days no issues. Only wish their keyboards were better. Hyper x was decent to.

Tbh, I love this one out with wireless dongle, but why the have to remove the 3.5 jack support or usb C like the Nova 1 and 3 model. 😢 I mean it should suppport the model below it. It will be a good combination, wire and wireless dongle.
3 Q's, 1: How good is the WiFi connection to Console. 2: When can we expect sales of this in UK. 3: Can this connect without dongle to Xbox consoles as 'The Verge' states the Xbox edition can be paired with Xbox consoles?
Other half has one for product testing, she's yet to try it out but I think I'm gonna lose my ps5 for a while while she compares it using her Series X, be interesting to hear the differences myself. Like review general feel (comparing it to my Ps5 Pulse and Turtle Beach Stealth 600's I use for PC) it's definitely high on comfort and unintrusive with it's presence when your wearing just haven't yet fired it up to hear the sound comparisons so once that's done I'll be back comparing MW2/Cyberpunk/any other game we have installed with full on sound at all times and go from there
i have a older set of a bit worn astro a40...seen these on prime day right now for 84. would you recommend these picking these up as a replacement or is that a downgrade!? arctis nova 7 are 135

I may be missing something but how do I switch the audio to my headphones? This is the only video I managed to find talking about this headset. They connect to each other just fine but when I go to the setting to switch the audio, the headset doesn’t show up. Am I missing something?
Great indepth review as usual. Which sub $100 headphone or headset would you recommend for gaming? Open to headphones as I have a decent budget condenser usb mic which is definitely better than any $100 headset has to offer.
Does the Nova 4 have the same protruding knob in the earcups as the Nova 7's do? I have bigger ears and have been considering the Arctis 7+ due to it not having that protrusion. Also, the older Arctis earcups are ever so slightly bigger in general compared to the Nova's.

Nice review. Went ahead and got these on sale for $100. I was going to go with the Arctis 3 because I usually get wired so they're light but these are only like 13 grams more for about the same price.
Hello, i just bought these and i cant get them to work! I don’t know if im doing something wrong, i did everything thing according to the manual, press and hold the power button and nothing, tried to re pair it with the doungle but it wont work or pair any advice?
Would it work to use the 4x' analog through a type-c to 3.5mm cable? or does it only work with type-c to type-a? I don't like them removing the headphone jack on this.
It should work with the ps5 just fine. The only difference between the two is that the 4P version doesn’t have Xbox support. So if you never plan on buying an Xbox and sticking with the PlayStation you’ll be fine with the 4Ps.
The mic sounds like a phone with bad noise cancellation or something though. It really does try to eat the start and ending of words and sentences you're saying. It's weird.
The 4x, for me, is the better buy as I don’t listen to Bluetooth music / calls during gameplay so for me saving money is the smart choice. But it’s great to see many options to cater for the varying needs or wants of 0eople🥰💪👍😇

Man is that so? I sold my nova pro wireless and went back to my hyper x cloud 2s. Because they were crazy uncomfy, was looking at the 7ps lately. I am second guessing it now.

To make a reference, I have the stealth 700 gen 2, and their set to the biggest 'size' for the headband, my ears ain't that big, but i do have a big head. Maybe they break in over time. But it's a gamble you know :/. I would still try them!
@@xPenitentOne always is with headsets sadly, I’ve exchanged/returned/sold 4 headsets at this point trying to find the best one for me. The cloud 2 wireless are comfy but have no features which is why I keep looking else where.

@@Audeze_fan I’ve only used this headset on my pc so never tried it on console at all. I was coming from Astro a40 with a mix amp. Nothing beats Astro tbh! Thinking of trying IEP gaming earbuds now but haven’t made up my mind yet.
@havok3235 I have the astro a40 (without mixamp) and I can't hear footsteps at all so have you ever tried without the mixamp and you can't hear footsteps too and your telling me I'm going to have to get the mixamp just to be able to hear footsteps on the a40
Agreed. Their stock mic is absolutely trash, but thanks to sonar. I modified and tweaked the equalizer and thanks to sonar, I sounded like im using a condenser mic.

These just recently released. Awesome coverage on this, I wonder if these 4's at MSRP are worth it versus the 7's that sometimes go on sale.

Under 200 without a usb mic, The HS80 with Dolby atmos all day.
But once you tried the Maxwell with Dolby, there's no turning back.

It should work with the ps5 just fine. The only difference between the two is that the 4P version doesn’t have Xbox support. So if you never plan on buying an Xbox and sticking with the PlayStation you’ll be fine with the 4Ps.

SS has a different sound than HyperX. The cloud are well rounded for all gaming styles, SS has always been a bit more FPS

I don’t think thats necessary try having both consoles on but just use the wireless option on your Xbox or vice Versa
