If Achara was a Fallout character her Perception would be maxed out at 10

"Good Vaults" were control vaults. No experiments, just what was actually advertised to compare to all the experimental vaults.
But one the "main vault" is destroyed in one of the game. The one that monitor and control all vault. Those are special vault.
There is maybe another vault that used as facility for keeping candidates or higher up for Vault-tec take over.
Then, the "Control Group" is normal one, not the special one. Just normal sample of humans, used as compare between the experimental and the normal ones. Like all the research in real life, that there is need a "Control group" as the baseline for the experiment that about to be done.

I love the Fallout theme playing right as Lucy reveals the New California Republic flag.
Ramin really held back on using that theme for six episodes.
Yeah that was cool!!!!
I actually teared up when this happened
@@MillennialPanic lol with about 2000 hours on fallout 4 I did tear up hahahahah

Dude, the fallout theme when the NCR flag got shown I had hella chills it’s truly beautiful seeing fallout finally brought out to the spotlight of the “public eye” it deserves some attention and praise
omg, I actually somehow missed the short discourse about the NCR from Maximus in the previous episode, didn't even remember it was mentioned
when I saw the folded flag I got chills (was like "wait up, is that?..), when she unfolded it and the music played I legit lost my fu***ng mind.
You two are just cruising thru these episodes and I love it. Thank you!
Its funny that this movie tell us capitalism is bad, but this movie production by AMAZON one of the bigest capitalism company in USA , just ironic ."do it like what i said , not what i do " 😂😂😂😂
@@azriel29-yl5xf A. Not a movie
B. Fallout as a series has a satirical take on extreme capitalism and is primarily the reason the world is in the state it is in. Vault Tec as a company was incredibly powerful and had deep ties with the US government, not so unlike some corporations do now. So it is a much deeper perspective than just "capitalism bad".
C. Go watch the show or play the games, basing opinions off of snippets from a reaction video is quite stupid
@@azriel29-yl5xf "capital has the ability to subsume all critiques into itself. Even those who *critique* capital end up *reinforcing* it instead."

"I'm properly disturbed"
Officially initiated into the Fallout mindset well done
This is the episode that made me realize how fucked up Cooper's wife was. It's obvious she knew what was going to happen. She talked about the vaults like the nukes were an inevitability. Not a "what if" scenario.
Such a good catch.
Just like the look she gave the company reps about the suit "really being rad proof" during the photo shoot.
Yes and No. She figured that the best thing she could do was ensure her family was taken care of. If she doesn't work for Vault Tec, she is unable to keep them safe. It is a very valid motivation to have
I believe something out of control happened. Remember, all the companies is in a degree work with Enclave where Vault Tec is the most attached. I believe something happened either China dropped the bomb or Enclave dropped first.
I speculate maybe investigative journalist found out the truth and about to expose them. This prompt the Enclave to put in motion in advance, that's why there were unfinished vaults in the game.
On the other hand, if you truly think that it is inevitable, I can understand that she'd so anything to make sure her family was safe.
I can't believe she randomly said "dog meat" out of nowhere... 😅
I like the way maximus is acted. He seems like someone who's been through some sh*t.
True talk, his hesitance letting down his armor 😉 Chief Kiss
He's one of the best upcoming actors I've seen in years. His micro-expressions and how quickly he can switch from one emotion to another is both disturbing and hilarious 😂
I love everytime The Ghoul show up, they turn on Cowboy background music 😂.
That is most of music in Fallout franchise
Lucy, like most Vault-Dwellers, probably would not know anything about Second Bomb Day. She seemed to just glide past Maximus saying he was a kid when the bombs dropped. Because she probably did not believe him.
She went to the classroom because the first episode establishes she is a teacher. Learning the history they missed in the sealed Vaults was a bonus for her. And confirmation for us Maximus is telling the truth about Second Bomb Day.
she was too busy being painted by her cousin anyway lol
She honestly probably thought he was a dumb soldier boy. She's been told how things are going to be, and at that point she completely believes it.
"Well that was disturbing"
"Yeah"
"Properly disturbed"
LMAO I'm dying 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I am watching this way because I don't want to be disturbed lol
Interesting trivia: Sorrell Booke was an actor with a lengthy career in stage and screen, but is best remembered for playing Boss Hogg in the original "Dukes of Hazzard" TV show.
The "President" that captures the Ghoul is named "Sorrell Booker", obviously a homage/reference to the actor.
And the two idiot sheriffs are a homage to Sheriff Roscoe P Coltrane and Deputy Enos.
You 2 are my fav non gamer reactors to this series!
I like that Max is just so entertained watching a loop of a waterfall.
I'd been worried that he was a psycho since the beginning. This was the episode when I realized he's just simple 😂
Love how this episode used the games title screen theme score. It is so iconic and goosebumpy.
I like how the Vault with the mutants and weekly blood/topless ritual is actually the nicest and most civilized bunch.
Chris Parnell (Cyril from Archer and Jerry from Rick And Morty) is so perfect in this role. And I love how even after the hell that Lucy and Maximus have been through, they’re still too scared of being impolite and pointing out his and other peoples mutations.🤣🤣
Maximus lives on the surface, he must have seen too many people with mutations to take notice.
That was absolutely killing me! I knew the voice sounded super familiar but I couldn't put my finger on from where 😅
@@lfcmike12 I was trying to place him and couldn't do it, then I closed my eyes and listened to his voice and immediately went "JERRY!"
I just finished the season, the writing for the final episodes was really well done and I can't wait for season 2.
Though, just like in the games, these 3 Feel, like they are the main characters in their own way. So again, well done.
Yeah man, they didn’t give us Deathclaws or Super mutants in this season! Also a centaur would be terrifying but I don’t think they’ll appear.
I remember that in Fallout 3 there was a small faction that was attempting to bring law back to the Capital Wasteland in certain areas and they are called The Regulators and if players choose to be evil The Regulators will get bounties for the player character and hunt them down
15:16 If you want to know more about the NCR (New California Republic) I highly recommend ShoddyCasts channel. They have a whole series called The Storyteller: Fallout pretty much lore videos going over the history of Fallout.
Or Oxhorn's channel for that matter. ShoddyCast is more cinematic but Oxhorn tends to be more thorough.
The commercial and the wife mentioning about good vaults is great hint about what happened in vault 4.
edit: "Did your nose make you hear better?" line from achara made my day, idk why.
Matt Berry from The IT Crowd in canary yellow ❤
He’s awesome 😊
I love how much the writers have been able to subvert your expectations. For the most part I’ve really loved the story that they’re telling. You really won’t see what’s coming until the last minutes of the final episode. The tone throughout really felt like “Fallout” to me, but the left turn it takes really feels like Fallout.
We are conditioned to expect more WTF then suddenly get unfucked.
The timeline scene was controversial among the video game players due to the "Fall of Shady Sands" being dated 2277, and seemingly indicates that 2277 was the year the explosion happened, which seemingly predates the New Vegas game. But looking back at the timeline, I think the explosion happened sometime after 2277, and the "Fall" of Shady Sands probably may refer to some kind of economic collapse due to the ongoing war in the Mojave.
Has Lucy's age been mentioned? Take her current age minus six and then subtract that from the current date which is 2296 I think and that'll be the date the bomb was dropped on Shady Sands. If she's 25 then the boom was 2277. The Fallout wiki puts it at 2282.
I think it’s obvious that mushroom cloud explosion happened after the new Vegas, otherwise they would have the cloud on top the Shady Sand instead of just drawing arrow toward the cloud.
@@azriel29-yl5xf prepping us for when amazon actually nukes us lol
Pretty much what I been thinking fall shady sands then the events of new Vegas then the bomb of shady sands
@crnlonewolf3195 I'm willing to bet also that during the second battle of Hoover Dam, the electrical generators were irreparably damaged; leading to NCR to pull out of the region and downfall of House. The Legion probably also fell into chaos after the death of Caesar.
If you thought Cram was bad, wait until you get a hold of Iguana Bits. In Fallout, Iguana Bits started as "prime select" pieces sourced from human remains.
let's mind the fact that for this universe, somewhere between 1947 and 1963 there was "the divergence" from our reality... that's why everything looks 1950's-y.
Coop's conversation with his wife happens well into the 2070's of that reality.... these people have gone through and past the space race, past Vietnam and Irak, past Afghanistan, past the Internet, past the 2nd space race, past another major war, and into the verge of The Great War with Russia.
the initial nuclear holocaust happens during the late 2070's, and 220 years later, Lucy gets out of Vault 33.
just to give an idea of the amount of tech, political power and civil unrest at play here.
Loved when the music started (when she holds the flag with the twoheaded bear)
Remember in the fallout games a majority of the vaults have experiments being run by vault tech.
For me this was the best episode of the season 10/10.
The actress who played Birdie could also portray Cher
Try calling that number at Cooper's commercial!
Glad u Guys are just Cruziing through These.
15:19 Fallout theme 😊
Gave me da chills
@@brynnashcroft3734SAME
It was amazing!
Ughhhhh gave me goosebumps!!!!!
It's the Fallout 4 theme, it doesn't really click with New Vegas/NCR stuff.
It was well appreciated, but I could tell they used a different track dude.
Hey. I just wanted to say thank you for getting your reactions out so quickly. Shogun, Dune 2, Fallout, … 2024 rocks!
You can call the number for the vault that showed up on the screen I tried it it's pretty cool
Anyone notice the super mutant on the wanted sign at 17:58?
0:41 So if you actually call this REAL LIFE NUMBER you will get an terrifying yet hilarious peak behind the curtain of what Vault Tec is really about.🤣🤣🤣
THAT INTRO. IM DEAD. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every time he makes a prediction... what happens is the polar opposite... LMAO!!!!
I just finished the show last night and will wait until you guys get to the finale; it genuinely BLEW MY MIND! (I won't spoil anything tho)
BTW, I love seeing Matt Berry in the show, and his line about his character and Walter Goggins's character about both being products is really powerful with how true it is. It is kind of sad seeing how happy Maximus was in the vault since it was the first time in his life that he truly got to breathe and enjoy the pleasures and simplicity of living underground in the Vault and never experience the fear of death or war on a constant basis. Love seeing Chris Parnell in the show, too. It has always been hilarious, and every time I hear him, I just hear Jerry from Rick and Morty.
Max's line *"You wanna make my cock explode?"* might be my favourite line the entire show!🤣
A local convention had the voice actor who did Codsworth and Nick Valentine in Fallout 4 as a guest.
Yup. Just like in the games, these 3 Feel, like they are the main characters in their own way. So yea well done.
Its funny that this movie tell us capitalism is bad, but this movie production by AMAZON one of the bigest capitalism company in USA , just ironic ."do it like what i said , not what i do " 😂😂😂😂
Seriously, the ending...not only was it mind blowing for just the plot of this show, but also to the overall lore of the entire series. Some of it has been speculated about over the years but I never thought this show would address some of the things we got.
that scene with the new california flag.... its been a very long time since any tv show game me that many chills.... even in rewatching this now. if you played the games.. you were there... you knew those people... you helped build that place.
I am so happy they represented the NCR in this movie. It is huge having played new vegas.
Cram is a play on Spam. But you do eat dogs, roaches, pretty much anything you kill in the Wasteland. Iguana bits are a common food found in the Wasteland, but there are no iguanas...(in Fallout, one of the side quests is to discover what iguana bits are made of. Have fun playing the game. :) )
The lead actress reminds me more of Karen Allen from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Coincidentally, she's also one of the voices from Arcane, the video game
11:43 In the ad Cooper did at the start, He said the objective of vault 4 was to see the effects of radiation on human DNA. Also why they accept outsiders who've been in the wastelands (radiation exposed). I wonder what vaults 31,32 and 33 were doing. They were all linked as well which isn't normal
As a hardcore Fallout fan, I am thoroughly enjoying this show and am genuinely pleased with how faithful it has been to the games, albeit some differences of course but none that like spit on the games and all so that's good.
I do agree that Maximus' character kinda seems off and have no idea if it's intentional or not but we'll see I guess.
Love both of you musing over and giving your thoughts/opinions throughout the episodes, ya'll aren't diehard fans of the Fallout franchise so I know there's no bias involved (like there probably is with me 😂).
He was *absolutely* giving off vibes since the beginning, but this was the episode I realized he's just dumb. 😂There's not a nefarious thought in that head. The actor did a fantastic job, I've never seen anything quite like it.
@@vanyadolly I honestly agree now that I've had some time to simmer on my thoughts after finishing the show, his performance is masterclass.
His range of facial expressions alone were top notch, from making me genuinely second-guess his motivations and intentions to feeling sorry for him and straight up making me die of laughter so I absolutely loved it lmao.
Definitely became a fan of Aaron Moten. 👌🏻
Never leave the dog behind
20:25 "He didn't seem fully present in that conversation" To be fair, that's pretty on par for some of the NPCs in Bethesda games...
Ha
as every fallout fan .... at 15:24 i got goosebumps
Ever since I started playing fallout and found the other vaults and experiments they've been running.
I've always questioned where is vault tec. Because you know their still out there in thee vault.
So this episode is reigniting my curiosity on vault tec.
I've always wanted to play a fallout game where the story leads you to the masterminds behind vault tec and make them answer for their crimes or understand their perspective and end up joining them.
You guys got it with the upload schedule, matches the season drop as most people would've binged the show already.
gosey , wtf , everytime he said that i couldnt stop laughing ,
I love how they are combining the pre-war story with the "current" timeline.
I do think that Maximus being so bewildered about sex was a bit much. I can't see how he has been so sheltered, even in the first time we saw the Brotherhood of Steel barracks, we see some dude jerking it under the covers. Maximus is clearly over 20 years old (the actor is 35) and him being ignorant to the absolute basics made him seem... mentally impaired.
I mean, they are an ultra-conservative religious paramilitary cult. I’m guessing their sex ed isn’t the best.
I love this episode like you guys are amazing together love you
The music during the flag scene… fans all over the world be jizzin in their pants
The Board only showed when the fall of Shady Sands began. They didn't showed when the Bombs dropped. So yes, some hard fans are just trying to talk sh* about the show.
●Shady Sands downfall beginns = 2277
●Something happend between those years.
●Fallout New Vegas Game =
2281
●Shady Sands destroyed =
after Fallout New Vegas Game
●Fallout Amazon show =
around 2290-2298
So yes it still very Canon to the Games, like the showrunner said.
Btw. I got goosebumps when Lucy discovered the flag and the music like the Fallout 4 backgroung music started to play❤
Hearing the main Fallout theme when the NCR flag was revealed....oof right in the nostalgia. So glad they snuck in that easter egg.
The writing is so freakin good. There's so much foreshadowing that I've noticed after rewatching. Hell yea Barb is the devil.
18:00 I don't know if it's deliberate or a coincidence but one of the Ghoul Wanted posters in the background looks like the Ghoul from a 2011 fan made Fallout webseries called Nuka Break
Already finished the series, it was a pretty damn entertaining and thrilling show. The Ghoul definitely being my favorite character but every character is great to be fair, especially our main 3. Lucy and Maximus really grew on me throughout the show and ended up liking them a lot by the end. I would give the first Season a solid 8/10, I was not that familiar with the games, played Fallout Last Vegas (I think that what it was called) once way back on my PS3 and yeah but no nothing of the world really or it's lore ended up liking the show, definitely will be checking out Season 2 when it comes out.
Is it just me or is there a super loud pitch noise coming from the fusion core when they zoom in on it

This episode reminded me of the original Total Recall movie 😂
Best reactions to this series by non-gamers as said below!!! I'd suggest jumping into fallout 4 first, only cuz that's what I did and it's the most modern and best looking one. Would be fun to have livestreams of y'all playing it.

amazing show
"Is it Ripley?" Was an underrated joke. 😂
Not gonna lie, I'm with Jaby on that scene Maximus and Lucy in the quarantine room. A beautiful lady offers to be with you and you're reasonably sure she's not up to no good that's a win. Lucy definitely doesn't give off a vibe that she's up to something.
I wonder if the leader of Vault 4 is one of those reasons against marrying cousins. 😂 To be honest it would probably be the grandchildren that would develop that weird stuff if they keep doing that. Genetics are tricky though and random as hell. Also it could be from experiments.
I was thinking that the top number Vaults 1, 4, 7, 10 and so on were the good no experiment vaults and the one connected to them like (2 and 3 for Vault 1) would be the experiment ones. However, Vault 4 is an experiment vault instead of a management vault so they must have some different pattern to the vault designation.
I was cool with everyone's performance. Maximus reaction to what was happening with him wasn't too out of the ordinary that it's not believable. It's more of thinking is it just him or something making him be less concerned that I'm wondering, but not enough to throw me out of the show.
Enjoyed the reaction 👍👍✌ out.
Kinda surprised you didn't notice the Fallout theme playing when Lucy found and help up the NCR flag, but as a fan of the games, that moment gave me major chills

7:53 If you play the games, you find out that most of the vaults were actually experiments, without the inhabitants knowing about it. His wife had a suspicious reaction in the previous episode when they shot the commercial and he was asking if those suits really do block radiation, implying that no, they do not.
20:26 He's a moron. They kinda made that clear when he couldn't identify the circuit board in the first episode already.
I like how they made it kinda look like Cooper was looking for Moldeva, when now in hindsight his 200 year long revenge means he's likely looking for his ex-wife.
"Maximus Descending" sounds like a pretty great opera
"Gary?"

I think Maximus and Lucy are pretty much the same people just how Lucy adapted to the violence of the real world quickly but kept her language. Maximus adapt it quickly To his new surroundings

Codsworth and Jackie Daytona, from Tucson Arizonia.
Its been a while since I played the games. But were there any vaults that had absolutely zero problems and no baggage?
No, every vault ended up failing. There were some that did not have any experiments in them but some problems happened that caused them to fail.
The original fallout vault 13 water chip fails which is the only problem they had up to that point. There was supposed to be a spare but it was sent to the wrong vault either on purpose or not is debatable
One of these days I should build my own homemade vault-tec call Vault 101 for Jesup was in The Fallout universe as well that was an Easter egg reference all three United States map

The flag scene is so powerful with the music
Everytime we hear chris parnell speaks, its either Cyril or jerry.
Regarding the date error, the fall of Shady Sands may not mean specifically that a bomb fell on the city in 2277, following the WIKI we will see that it happened in 2282, a year after the events of New Vegas. After all, there is no exact date under the picture of the explosion. I think there is no mistake here.
