I hated fighting Zodiark as much as the next guy. Never lost to that thing even on the OG FF12, but that's only because I made doubly sure to prepare well in advance. IIRC Darkja only wiped me out once or twice in all those fights because I spammed Shell and Black Mask on everyone to survive. Amazingly, the fight is the easy part. Getting there is both harder AND more tedious than the fight itself...
Zodiark is my least favorite fight too xD I hated that dude even after defeating yiazmat I was still getting one shot by his darkja his fight could have been way easier if he had save crystal next to him and u don't have to walk back the entire zone to fight him
Fact: One key to defeating Yiazmat is to fully stack the Wither technick on it. All of that superboss’s attacks are physical damage, including Cyclone. At full stacks, Yiazmat does almost no damage, though you still have to watch for its instant-death attacks. Regardless, that eases up on healing so you can focus on one character tanking the boss right in front of it while one or two party members DPS it from one of its sides.
True true that's pretty much what I did basch was tanking him with his knight class , the fight is pretty bearable if it wasn't for the big chunk of hp
@@deltarek1534, same with Basch. I had Vaan as a Shikari/Bushi who - equipped with the Yagyu Darkblade, the Dark Robe and Genji Gloves, was buffed with Haste, Bravery and Berserk. He went TOTAL PSYCHO on Yiazmat and tore him to shreds. Penelo (White Mage/Time Battlemage) healed where necessary and otherwise buffed Basch and Vaan. Ashe (Black Mage/Monk) stacked Wither to make the fight easier and otherwise kept up buffs if needed until all Wither stacks were up. Even at low health, Yiazmat's "Growing Threat" buff seemed more like "Hollow Threat" compared. ;)
I find the shadowseer harder than the 3 u mentioned , hellwyrm was a nerfed yiazmat and Ultima was moderate difficulty she was close to a save crystal if I remember or maybe 🤔 not don't remember

Wow I can see you are a big fan of ff12 like me it's my fav FF game tbh , I would agree with u on everything except the hard Bosses rafflesia and judge both were for me if not the easiest bosses In the game both I one shorted them with those special attack I forgot it's name quick something's xD I was surprised that they died so easily
@@deltarek1534 ohh, well I should mention that almost never used mist, just for the extra challenge. That is unless I had to. It was also in the original game, not zodiac age, I know that matters. And I also never lvled, just mainstory with some hunts completed. Bergan hit hard when was getting low, while Rafflesia took all my mana and inflicted status effects. Still, they were both fairly easy compared to side-bosses/hunts.

I noticed Gabranth isn't at all on this list. Not that it matters because everything on that list EXCEPT the following is a total pushover: *Elder Wyrm* (Sporefall is a bitch) *First Demon Wall* (you get about 60-90 seconds to deplete 22k HP, which is tough to do on-level without Quickenings) *Judge Bergan* (he hits like a truck and is very evasive) *Tyrant* (lot of HP and you can't use technicks) *Hydro* (even more HP than Tyrant and is all around nasty) *The Undying* (typical final boss level challenge, need I say more?) As for side bosses, Yiazmat, Zodiark, and Omega Mark XII easily top the difficulty list, with Zodiark being arguably the hardest due to Darkja and its potential to wipe out your party no matter what you do. Plus it eventually becomes immune to physical attacks AND can change its elemental weakness at random...
I don't think he is stronger but in my opinion harder and tougher , omega was easy with that switch damage to heal magic , and yiazmat isn't hard at all just big ass hp 50m
I play ff12 every year since 2008 until now and after years of playing I can say the top 5 most difficult bosses on FF12 are Yiazmat Omega Mark XII Hell Wyrm Behemoth King Zodiarc
Ah the memories trying to hopelessly kill Yiazmat and never actually reaching Zodiarc after playing the game for more than 400 hours . I regret playing many games and doing many wrong things , but I will never regret playing Final Fantasy 12!!

Only thing is hard about yiazmat is that one super attack that can one shot ur team even if ur lvl 99 and the one fact that he can restore health past if u give him a enough room 🤣, about Gilgamesh I think everyone who played ff12 did defeat him with the inch of their life's because of the tricky fact that he is much harder and higher level than the 1st fight I remember I defeated him with only have vaan and penelo left on my team xD it was very long and close fight
Weird how strategies differ, Zodi and Fafnir aren't even in my top 5 list. Same strategies for both on ps2 and ps4 and both are dead in a few mins. Omega was probably my worst, Hell Wyrm for me was same as many say for Yiazmat, just long not difficult. But TZA is definitely way easier than original FFXII.
Tbh after I defeated Fafnir before him he was pretty easy to me , the only thing annoying Abt him is how to Spawn him and killing everything in those zones , except that I found him to be above normal difficulty probably in top 12 or so
Omega mk 7 gave me a couple of game overs first playthrough he hits hard an fast an is more difficult than any hunts or the hell wyrm imo. Hardest an most annoying boss for me was definitely Zodiark several game overs an that damn darkja attack sooooo annoying.
None of the boss in XII zodiac are that hard they can all be stat down threw wither shear expose and addle even bosses like yiazamt and omega are easier becasue they work now, none of the bosses are that hard if your prepared, as for Zodiark use excaliber to take off large amounts than when it shifts switch off might switch it to dark weapons, you can bypass the physical paling if you can do enough damage before it even starts to use it but have a magic user ready and than use shock not scathe why becasue shock has less recover time than scathe. ALl you ned in the mines to get to zodiark ribbon thats it you should be strong enough, for omega reverse and wither it down, JUst know you cant just brute strength your way through them.

The way the Omega fight is structured, you practically have to use Reverse to survive on the OG FF12. On TZA, you can actually Wither the boss to where its laser attack won't 2-shot your Bubbled characters anymore. It's not entirely impossible to beat Omega without Reverse on the OG FF12, but you need to be quick to heal and rez. Haste is an absolute must.
@@cameraredeye3115 Yeah it's not impossible at all. Just a little bit about luck, & extreme perseverance. I did it at maybe level 75 party at tops on the original game. It was insanely difficult, & the hardest fight in any videogame for me propably. Maybe it's a bit easier with 99. lvl party, but should still be a struggle. Bubble belts were a must.
Omega is definitely the most dangerous boss in ff12, even with highest armor and at level 99, if your reverse wears off everyone started to fall one by one

Yiazmat isn't hard hes just has too much health. Gilgamesh second form is hard for me I know if that fight kept going on I would have lost.

Zodiark was tough in term of attack power yiazmat was tough in the defense stats
ALl you need for omega is reverse and put your strongest person likely vaan with reverse till you lower its stats than its just a normal boss.
