Teacher here, so appreciate this. There's definitely some non-lethal, lethal items one could probably get away with in a school setting. Really it's all about mindset. You come attack my students, I have no problem taking a chair or desk and bashing your head in. THEY may not let me be armed, but they will not take away my mentality to survive and protect my students by any means necessary. When I lived in the rural south it was common for teachers and students to carry a pocket knife.
Right there with you. Fellow teacher here. Being in a portable is the worst, especially in the heat if it's not airconditioned. Everyone else has their front and rear doors open, freaks me out. Literally anyone can walk in off the street. Had to petition to get 3 large fans (intake and outtake) to force cooler air from outside without having the doors opened - fortunately it worked and we stayed cool. When I was asked why I wouldn't just keep the doors open, I had to cite our fire code and explain, simply, that I dislike the idea that anyone can walk in off the street into my portable. At least INSIDE the school, one has to pass by many other people to get into a classroom, but outside? nada. This even happened one day, a parent walked into an open portable looking for their kid. Could easily have not been a parent and no one except the people IN the portable would no, AND it's out of camera sight since all the cameras are mounted on the main building.
unfortunately in my high school we wasn’t allowed to even half of these we wasn’t hardly allowed to talk about having half of these things. That was 3 or 4 years ago as you could imagine they are overly sensitive & strict about it now. But anyway Modify your kit accordingly.
Our school district is quite specific about weapons and knives and OC spray are banned. In fact, most school districts around the county do not allow those in their doors. Perhaps you should have researched that….
Yo, Mike Check? Nice EDC and great video. I have a commuter EDC bag that I carry every day to work. I used the Dual-mode Bluetooth and USB wired mini rechargable wireless Keyboard with a touchpad mouse built in. I am not an Apple lover, so my devices are Android base. My multitools are SOG, and CRKT. My swiss army knife has the best scissors on the market. I am still researching the best small point-and-shoot digital camera to buy. I carry an old-school 35mm film Cannon Rangefinder camera (Cannon G-III QL) which does not need batteries to operate. You are good to go as long as you know the Sunny 16 rule of film photography and extra film. My Samsung top-of-the-line galaxy phone handles all the digital shoots for now. Very comprehensive and covering all the essentials!!! I would probably add some hand wipes to clean afyer those messy food you eat on the road or simply to clean surface when you sit down and eat or work. Some people leave real mess behind lol
Great video brotha 🤙🏽 I just got my Olight Arkfeld OD Green CW with the green laser for my new EDC. Trust me it’s nice! I forget it’s in my pocket most of the time because of its new shape plus it keeps my Rottweiler busy chasing the laser. It comes in 2 shades of light CW and natural light so if u get one make sure it’s the shade u want.
Snacks are important- and some sort of tissue or paper towels - mini toilet paper pill thingies I like they are dime size - emergency nourishment pouch
I would add a couple of Zebra F-400 or F-700 Stainless Pens to substitute for the blades if they are not allowed! Aways on me when I can't carry a blade or Multi Tool! OORAH Semper Fi and Can Do
My kids are off to college now but even going back to high school they're backpacks not only included a ballistic plate but a separate kit with aspirin for anybody that might have a heart attack, tourniquets bandages, a small laminated list of everybody's telephone numbers, coins that type of stuff
Correction the benchmade bailout has m4 a very tough high in edge retention but far from stainless so not that good for if you live in a humid area. M6 is not a steel that exists to my knowledge
Why wouldn't you carry pepper spray on your body?? And also there are much smaller versions of that, the one you showed is obnoxiously huge, looks like a can of bear spray you take into the woods.
Solid loadout! I wonder if you did pack a lighter, what kind and type would you take along? I keep a Zippo lighter insert inside an orange Thyrm case in my Viktos Upscale XL sling. It does eventually dry out but it holds out longer than if I just had the Zippo in its' standard case. All best to y'all as the school year starts!
Can anyone let me know if you can use normal aaa batterys in the micro stream usb without any trouble or the flashlight not lasting as long as it would have if it was just being recharged

Lots of teachers and students carry pocket knifes on them at my school. Everyone does it but if their caught their lives are ruined

I would add something for measuring. Either a small metal Engineers ruler or a Tailor/Haberdasher tape.

I have the zippo butane insert and don’t have to worry about it leaking and you could carry fuel with you as well.
