Something I haven't seen yet in a video: a couple/few plastic grocery bags. If you lay ''em flat, get all the air out, and fold them like a flag, to make a triangle (or like the paper footballs from when you were 11 or 12 y.o.) They're great for instant trash bags, of course, but also for a moisture barrier to sit on, or to hold something and keep it dry when scurrying from car to school door through the rain, etc. etc. And very 'prepared dad'-ish, too.
I appreciate your coverage of EDC consumables, and not just the hardware most EDC videos cover. Great ideas an EDC bag dads and granddads. One thing I like have is tissues, for those snotty noses, including mine.
This is beyond just being a dad. I'm a leader at my job and have many grown folk under me.... this would definitely fit the bill for a save the day pack for anyone. Love the build, found a few things i was missing in my edc carry. Great job my friend
I love that you've put kits like this together. Great gift ideas for our husbands. You've done all the work for us! I'll definitely check out your other videos.
I totally agree the need for clean up cloths. To avoid waste and blocking drains, I run a 4"square flannel (Cheekywipes in the UK) in a zip lock baggie and add water from my bottle as needed. If I need disinfection, I have a pen-sized refillable squirt bottle of surgical spirit/rubbing alcohol.
Hi just found your ch! I'm a special needs bus driver so I carry almost all of these things and more equipment for the kids! I'm Ling these ideas and things are always going to happen on my routes so I need to be prepared! Thank you
You sure fit a ton of stuff in there. I'm not sure why you use three different wipes though, I'd just stick to the wet ones or some unscented baby wipes. I have the retreev tool and have to agree that it's pretty fun. I love watching EDC videos but it's really nice to see one that's more shit hits the hand than hits the fan.
OK...I believe you! Watched this, expecting to see "macho man" drivel. Was astonished that you really do carry DAD stuff. And...I took notes, because...you...have some really good ideas. Thanks
9:14 Let me suggest use hydrocolloid dressing as a band-aid alternative. They are not anti bacterial and significantly more expensive than bandaid (affordable still) but they are excellent in every other aspect, you can get 4x4in ones which you can cut down on the fly and it sticks directly onto the wound thus fixing it in place and making it way less painful to move around and do stuff. It also helps wound healing and reduce scaring. Idk if this is normal but I cut a small piece of my finger off and it is pretty much completely healed in a week.
Thanks for this awesome video! I think you might be interested in the “PULLEY standard 90 degrees B0” by austrialpin, as it would go very well with your Kevlar rope and the reteeve. I alsways it with me and it weights nothing :)
Gotta get one of those glow fobs for my edc. That Vanquest Dendrite looks pretty nice, too. I'd definitely swap out that buckle for a fidlock one though. Something about that solid magnetic latching is just *chef's kiss*.
WOW! Great video and kit! As a grandfather of young grandchildren, this kit is perfect for any outing you could think of! Great ideas! Going to put one together myself! Thanks man! Love your channel. Keep up the good work. Well done!
Hey Tammy - you've won the big Rumpl box in my 15,000 subscriber giveaway :-) Saw an email address on your profile, so I'm going to reach out to you that way. You've got a week to claim it from the time of this comment.
A new item you may find interesting are the small tourniquets from Snakestaff System. About the size of a magazine. I just bought four (4) to carry off-duty. They fit well in a small EDC bag or your pocket. Enjoy your channel and glad I found it (my wife won’t be when she sees the Amazon cart). Just found it today and subscribed. This is my type of EDC - not to tactical and a little more practical.
Yeah it’s awesome! I have about 99% the same things in my kit. I use the AER city sling. Niteize makes some light up zipper pulls that I used on some zipper you should check it out. Also, you mentioned that you have the magnifier which would be great for pulling a splinter, I’m gonna get one. However I have a small pair of tweezers as well, you should get some.
I carry an EDC backpack in my car but this is a great idea to have for times when I don’t want to lug the backpack around. Thanks for the video with all the details!!
Siiiick loadout. I have two nieces and I also have those compressed mini towels in my EDC bag, we go thru them like Skittles. Keep rockin, loving the vids
Great video! I always have my Amazon app opened when I watch videos like these, and I always wind up spending some money. :) The only thing I would probably pick a cheaper option for is the tape measure. $45 for 3 feet? Ouch. Great size and form factor though, so go for it if it’s in your budget. Thanks for posting!
Having Amazon open is how I've ended up with so much gear over the years :-) Yeah, the tape measure is up there, but it's super tiny, well--engineered, and (most importantly for this kit) super light weight. Throw it in a pocket and you'd totally forget it was there.
Great gear as a dad my kids are so accident prone I started carrying back pack so I can have first aid kit in it. I will add some things from your kit to it.
This was a very informative video, thank you for your information sir. My carry is indeed vast, may I suggest Huggies wipes with aloe & vitamin E. As a long-haul truck driver, I literally have at least 11 or more of these 176 wipes bags (on average) in the back of my tractor at all times. I think of these as a type of sink where there is no water 💧. I use these for all things imaginable pretty much daily. Once again, great video sir, be well.
You captured my attention! Great presentation, unusual yet useful items, I have subscribed to your channel and plan on view your other videos. Best of luck to you!
Just a heads up with the incharge cable. I had it on keys and lost it for days at my office because the magnet isn't strong enough to keep it together. A coworker found it and since then I keep it in something similar to this.
Greetings from one Tennessean to another! Great video! I notice that you have trouble with the ends of your Kevlar rope fraying/unraveling. Try flaming the ends of the rope with your Bic lighter. That should melt the fibers together so they don't fray. I haven't tried this with Kevlar rope specifically but it works with nearly all cordage except all-natural (like hemp, cotton).
Ready for every eventuality good bad or ugly. Great organised kit, thanks for another interesting and thought provoking video to give everyone great ideas for often overlooked every day items that just make life easier especially with kids in tow. Stay safe, best wishes from the U.K. Good luck to everyone. Unfortunately don't think it's open to us Brits but hey no worries. 👍
Haven't quite been able to bring myself to start carrying a fanny pack, but lots of great ideas for gear. Could definitely see carrying a kit like this in my EDC backpack. Off to the Amazon!
I like your kit, I tend to buy the packs of 10 babywipes rather than just have singular wipes because I like to take craps and feel clean when I'm out and about jajaja
Enjoy the clip . I’m not a dad or father. 5 nephew, 2 nieces & a combination of GR8 nephews & nieces about 15 clan. I like the kit going to make some for the parents. Cheers ☕️
I do appreciate your level of preparedness and don't at all mean to seem critical, but I'd suggest considering carrying a tourniquet and or bleeding stopping powder in your kits, they're inexpensive and probably, hopefully knever will be needed, but just incase it might be worth it in a worst case scenario. It takes less than 7 minutes to bleed to death, but the average ambulance response time is 22 minutes. JS
I am from South Korea. I am so impressed to watch how American dad is prepared. I gotta learn from you. Thanks. :)

Good thinking

As a dad and a cultivator of useful items I love you content. Thx for introducing me to such cool stuff.
I love that you've put kits like this together. Great gift ideas for our husbands. You've done all the work for us! I'll definitely check out your other videos.
Some really interesting additions in your kit I haven’t seen before - thanks for the ideas!

Just an FYI. Those little expanding wipes also work with hand sanitiser instead of water so you can make a quick anti bac wipe.
Smart!
Hi just found your ch! I'm a special needs bus driver so I carry almost all of these things and more equipment for the kids! I'm Ling these ideas and things are always going to happen on my routes so I need to be prepared! Thank you
A mini tape measure has become one of my favorite Dad EDC items. Some great ideas in this kit!
The dad pouch is back! Looks like a great pack. I'm sure the winner will be super happy
This is awesome! I’ve added a small inflatable ball and a few toys to mine
Now THAT'S a missing piece in this kit. Great ideas.
Thanks for the video.

Yeah I need that TI tape measure! Always using the side of my Leatherman, which goes to 9 inches but 3ft would be clutch!
OK...I believe you! Watched this, expecting to see "macho man" drivel. Was astonished that you really do carry DAD stuff. And...I took notes, because...you...have some really good ideas. Thanks
Glad I passed the test :-)
Nice, that will definitely help being a Dad. You have to expect the unexpected when having kids!
I put together a little kit before I even knew EDC was a thing. These videos are helping me make it even better.
Thanks for sharing! Lots of cool items contained in a nice Fanny pack. Take care

Glad the algorithm put this on my feed. Thanks for thinking of us dads!
Glad to have ya!

Cool idea
I really enjoyed this video. Definitely taking some of these ideas for my every day bag.
What a great little kit you have there. Some smart useful stuff.
New to the channel, im always on the hunt for cool gear! Found it! Thank you
Gotta get one of those glow fobs for my edc. That Vanquest Dendrite looks pretty nice, too. I'd definitely swap out that buckle for a fidlock one though. Something about that solid magnetic latching is just *chef's kiss*.
This edc looks like it would be great for the basic day to day stuff you need with kids.
What a great kit with some terrific ideas. Thanks for sharing! Headed to Amazon now.
WOW! Great video and kit! As a grandfather of young grandchildren, this kit is perfect for any outing you could think of! Great ideas! Going to put one together myself! Thanks man! Love your channel. Keep up the good work. Well done!
Awesome - glad you liked it.
AWESOME dad-centric EDC, great setup!
DUDE! noic List! Thank you for sourcing these.. - I'll be picking up a few things!
Man...I thought I was prepared until I saw this! So many items in a fanny pack! Nice job! I like the body wipe idea too! Thanks for the vid!!!
yeah, those wipes are surprisingly handy to have
This would be amazingly helpful. I need to put something together.
As a new dad, thanks for these kind of tips.
I didn’t think it was over kill at all! Thank you for all the cool ideas and the links were very helpful!
Good to hear :-)

@@AtHomeInTheFuture well my goodness! I’ll wait for the email but want to thank you in advance.
@@AtHomeInTheFuture I received and just replied to the email. Thank you so much.
Nice little kit. Some of that I didn’t even think of
Great video! The in charge is great but I struggled with it a bit. The kable card has been my favourite alternative
Brilliant kit. Love the thought behind the contents and what a great bag too
Good stuff. Thank you for listing the products in the description!
My edc is work and life related from a multi tool to knife couple flashlights. I have my tablet in it as well and scooter keys.
Starting my DAD Essentials now!
Excellent kit! Thanks for sharing.

I carry an EDC backpack in my car but this is a great idea to have for times when I don’t want to lug the backpack around. Thanks for the video with all the details!!
Yeah, the idea is just something super light to grab when I'm running out with the kids.
This is an awesome setup and brought my attention other items to use in my own EDC.
Siiiick loadout. I have two nieces and I also have those compressed mini towels in my EDC bag, we go thru them like Skittles. Keep rockin, loving the vids
You’ve got some great gear in this kit! I’m a dad also and have bags of just in case gear everywhere!

I thought the same thing, $45! YIKES!
Recently discovered the channel, and have been watching for days.
Great video! Planning to build one of these myself!
EDC dad bag is genius. Nice bag as well. Thanks for the video
Great gear as a dad my kids are so accident prone I started carrying back pack so I can have first aid kit in it. I will add some things from your kit to it.
This is a solid idea. It’s only overkill until you use it.
So awesome! Glad I randomly ran across this video...subscribed immediately!
Thanks for all your great giveaways.
I can see you have put a lot of thought into this carry.
Comes from life experience!
Good channel! Glad I found it. Thanks for the GAW.

A very universal and lightweight kit. Great video
You captured my attention! Great presentation, unusual yet useful items, I have subscribed to your channel and plan on view your other videos.
Best of luck to you!
Cool gear (as usual 🙂) and explained well! Looking forward to incorporating some of these into my EDC.
I like the variety you have in this pack. Also its taylored to you. Because we dont need a ferro rod in every bag lol!
love all these options thanks for the video!!!
Love your Channel, great stuff 👍👍👍
Thanks man
Just a heads up with the incharge cable. I had it on keys and lost it for days at my office because the magnet isn't strong enough to keep it together. A coworker found it and since then I keep it in something similar to this.
Good feedback there
The Rumpl package is nice. Would go great in my truck.
Awesome video. As a dad myself, I appreciate this. Durban, South Africa
That grappling hook.. thats next level preparedness. Is everyone in Tennessee this prepared ? Great video!
Ah yes dad gear, this is why I’m here
A small multitool would be a good addition. Something like a gerber dime or leatherman squirt.
This kind of stacks with my EDC stuff in my pockets, where I keep a leatherman squirt ps4
Dad of 3. Good ideas. Making myself one!
Some good ideas in here, thanks.
Thank you for your reviews!!!

Thanks Robin!
We’re expecting number 2 in the fall so THANK YOU so much for this video!
Congrats on the new addition :-)
Great video! Just became a dad, and definitely will use some of these ideas!
Nice kit. Gave me a few ideas I hadn’t thought of. 👍
Awesome vid, great insight on how to set up a kit for Dads
I think a poncho would be a great addition to your dad kit!
Good call
Awesome video now I have a few more ideas for my setup
Such a good video. Definitely will be working on my own version soon. Keep up the good work!
This was an awesome dad pack! Throw a mini new testament, cigar cutter, and cigar tube and your prep is complete!😆
Good video. I actually have a couple of these items in my EDC
Haven't quite been able to bring myself to start carrying a fanny pack, but lots of great ideas for gear. Could definitely see carrying a kit like this in my EDC backpack. Off to the Amazon!
Fanny pack optional!
@@AtHomeInTheFuture 😆

Thanks for running the giveaway!!!

Awesome video. I carry a Fanny pack and other bags as well. Don’t have the dendrite but have other vanquest pouches
Yeah, I love Vanquest stuff

Just found this channel, love it so far! Excited for future videos and the giveaway 🤘🏽
Great video going to get for my brother in law that just had a son for his bday
Just become a dad a few weeks ago so looking for tips of what might be useful to add to my edc 😀
Congrats!
Great video! Definitely got a lot of ideas for my needs.
Great kit. Very nicely thought out.
