Fun battle report guys. Just a quick one on Stubborn Defiance. You can't declare another objective mid-game. You must hold the original objective as it says 'In your first command phase, select one objective marker that is not within your deployment zone.' You probably noticed to max this out you'll need to use infiltrators as it's the only unit that can score it on turn 1. Other than that, everything felt spot on. Not sure how I feel about aggressors in DA lists as Terminators are much more flexible and provide more bodies on the table, but I loved the aggressive use of your 2nd Company to get up in their faces quickly and eliminate the transports.

I am also taking Ebon Chalice and I loaded my army up with flamers. I plan to use the Strategem to auto hit d6. I didn't take Val. I took sacresants for melee. Once castigator for long range anti tank. Still in the process of building my army which should be done in March. Excellent battle report gentlemen.
Ripping this straight off from Bricky but I feel no shame at all. Canoness with brazier of holy fire and condemnor boltgun, upgraded to the relic annunciation of the creed, righteous judgment blessing. 90 points. Use the stratagem for max flamer shots (it works with the brazier) and the Ebon Chalice strat to let flamers do mortal wounds on a 4+. These stack, so you have 6 hits which will do 2 mortal wounds on each 4+, 6s will do ANOTHER thanks to righteous judgment, which also lets you snipe characters. You could roll five of them and then miracle dice the last depending on the rolls. The Ebon Chalice warlord trait should get you 1 CP back as well to help with the cost. Then we come to the annunciation of the creed. If a shot is allocated, so after wounding but before saving, to a psyker, it does a flat 3 mortal wounds as well as a -2ap D2 hit. On a 6 to wound it will do another mortal on top. With divine guidance, ranged attacks get an additional ap on 6s to wound. You could use a miracle dice of a 6 to hit, then a 1 CP strat to use that same 6 as the wound roll. Once per game this ruthless bitch will throw any character within 16 inches straight into the trashcan and she will terrorize psykers all game long. I'm in love.

Sisters are all about the buffs...like all, about, the buffs... So use them strategems and blesings... Battle sisters on an objective with defenders of faith, C of repunance, Vahl rerolls and blessed bolts with a hospitaler to ress them are hard to remove... And those stormbolters are great... Just reroll all but sixes on everything... WL trait and hymn them for 4+ invuln and put them in cover for a 2+ save... And they are almost impossible to remove.... Just reroll all but sixes on everything... I play bloody rose... So those sisters have 2 attacks ap1 if charged... Combine with Word of emperor to make the unit that charged them fight last and enjoy 40+ attacks with exploding sixes ap 1 and full Vahl rerolls :D
Thanks for that!! I’ll need a lot of practice in getting the synergies to work but they do appear to be a very powerful force. Bloody rose is definitely one of the strong ones - might have to give it a go sometime 😊
