Thank you SO much for posting this interview I it's entirety and not a teaser! I adore Ginger Rogers. There's nothing I don't love about her. I think her fans deserve better than some of the teaser clips that are out there that show 18 seconds of an interview. Anyway, thanks again! It's very much appreciated!
Tom Snyder was just wonderful. I remember these shows that I could occasionally watch late at night when all was quiet. The format and style made you feel like you were in the room and in on the conversation.
Very refreshing to see such a down-to Earth lady, while having been an immense talent in Showbiz. Love her sensible attitude to life and loved her in all the dance ensembles with Fred Astaire , famous and unforgettable pairing. Apparently, she insisted on designing all her own outlandish costumes, clearly, a lady of so many diverse talents.
Ginger had gorgeous eyes. I did some research on her family and saw a picture of her father, Mc Math, he was a electrical engineer, died at age 45 yrs, but he remarried, could not find much on him, unfortunately she never met him. Her eyes I would say came from her fathers side.
I really miss Tom, he was a great interviewer. He would ask a question and listen, not start asking another question before they ended what they had to say!
Beyond her legendary dancing, she was a great comedic talent, very quick and funny. Many of my favorite GR movies are her playing a wisecracking role. She was also a fantastic actress in dramas, like Kitty Foyle. I would have loved to have met her and chatted with her. A great lady.
Plus, I don't believe there was ever a black cloud over him regarding any sort of scandal, like groping or harassing his staff or conducting a sleazy personal life. I may be wrong though, I just don't remember anything at this.moment.
What she had more than anything- and she had great talent - was sex appeal. Even at that age, you just want to cuddle up with her and make her happy. There were better actresses, better dancers etc. But only she had the personality and combination.
Really well I was in Europe last year and the golden age of Hollywood most I met kept mentioning Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire same thing in the young generations in Hollywood where I live
@@felixsebaoun8266 Great!! There are some quite rude people in the comments, that's what I was talking about. Love to hear about Ginger/old star fans !!😁😍
Ginger knew and said it already then why musicals didn't do anymore in Hollywood. They didn't have then or even today musicians, producers, directors, songwriters and most of all, didn't want to do it. Fact.
I've been reading the Bible for 30 yrs. and I have never seen or heard that verse before! Just saying! Love Ginger Rogers but I think she's got the wrong verse and the wrong book!
Watching Ginger Rogers even in her later years is like watching the bubbles and sparkle in a glass of champagne.
Ginger must have been a joy to interview, she talk so freely.and easy. Thank you for posting.
Lovely lady
Wow, what an enjoyable interview, how lovely. Ginger Rogers is my all-time favorite.
This is an absolutely sterling interview. Ginger opens up and enjoys herself talking to Tom. Best interview ever with the amazimg Ginger Rogers❗
Ginger was so talented and such a beautiful lady. And I say all this with respect to her.
I predict: You'll never find another woman of this caliber in Hollywood in the remainder of human existence.
Rita Hayworth
Susan Hayward
@@nancytet7161 Loved her.....soooo natural in her beauty and acting. She touched my soul especially in I’ll cry tomorrow.
I couldn’t agree more and I am not of her generation at all
I'm getting to know her...she was long before my time , yet I'm sure I've watched some of her films..

That woman was the epitome of class. Ginger Rogers was an amazing person.

Damned right.
Snyder was horrible. Bigoted and homophobic.

Although Ginger was in her later years, her eyes are the same as when she was in her 20's, beautiful.

Sorry I meant like 👍
I am reading Ginger Roger's autobiography and in it she says that her father actually kidnapped her twice so she did meet him.
I really miss Tom, he was a great interviewer. He would ask a question and listen, not start asking another question before they ended what they had to say!
Oh I love her ! What a beautiful person. My favorite Ginger Rogers movie is "Bachelor Mother"
Beyond her legendary dancing, she was a great comedic talent, very quick and funny. Many of my favorite GR movies are her playing a wisecracking role. She was also a fantastic actress in dramas, like Kitty Foyle. I would have loved to have met her and chatted with her. A great lady.
LOVE TOM, LOVE GINGER...JUST GREAT.
She was a special gal, really never been any one like her since
God! I loved "The Tomorrow Show"!!!! I watched this every night and I would love to see these episodes over again.
Love ❤ Ginger Rogers very beautiful gail 💗💜💗💜💗 Thank you for sharing🎥🎥
I was a huge fan of Tom Snyder's tomorrow show in the 70's (never really missed it) and he interviewed everybody that was somebody!
She was a splendid conversationalist. Snyder a fine interviewer. Today we get the plodding and self-important Charlie Rose.
+Nicolas Martin I so agree with you re: Charlie Rose and the other words as well.
Not anymore #himToo
Ha Ha, not anymore. Lefty prick hoist by his own petard.
Ms. Rogers is really something. She belong to hollywood's greatest and brightest stars ever. One of my favourite star.
It's clear that she lives from a deep faith and draws enormous energy from that and from her positive attitude. She has great energy and enthusiasm.
Ginger Rogers was one classy lady. What a "peach"! Such a beautiful soul.
Tom is the epitome of what a late nite host should be: Charming, great conversationalist, interesting, personable plus good looking - I sure miss him
Plus, I don't believe there was ever a black cloud over him regarding any sort of scandal, like groping or harassing his staff or conducting a sleazy personal life. I may be wrong though, I just don't remember anything at this.moment.
Yes. He was great at impromptu conversation. Had many fine and even great interviews.
I loved her she was a gracious & kind lady I was fortunate to meet her a few times.
Great interview love how she says his name makes a great lady with class😂🇨🇦
what a great lady !
Wow she is a lovely human being😭
Ginger Rogers seems like she was a nice lady...❤
She is amazing
Love Ginger.
Still beautiful and interesting 💓
Great interview
She was 69 years old here!
Spectacular and beautiful always described.
I was too young to catch all these interviews at this time...
Beautiful and talented she was
What she had more than anything- and she had great talent - was sex appeal. Even at that age, you just want to cuddle up with her and make her happy. There were better actresses, better dancers etc. But only she had the personality and combination.
Too bad her five husbands no longer wanted to cuddle up to her or maybe it was the other way around.
I like her, and she was a great talent. Hollywood has lost the class that people like Ginger carried.
Still Beautiful.
she could dance just as good as fred astare but with high heels on!
And she even uses the subjunctive, correctly. What a woman.
I read that Ginger Rogers had type I diabetes from the age of 25 on. She managed very well...
Great video.
I can't believe how many people dislike her, but to each his own
Really well I was in Europe last year and the golden age of Hollywood most I met kept mentioning Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire same thing in the young generations in Hollywood where I live

Ms., Rogers did movies with Marilyn Monroe and Doris Day .
What happened to
TOM SNYDER?
He died
tom is so weird. why is he laughing at child abuse.
She is 69 here!!!?? 💓💓💓💓💓
I've been reading the Bible for 30 yrs. and I have never seen or heard that verse before! Just saying! Love Ginger Rogers but I think she's got the wrong verse and the wrong book!
Habakkuk 2:2
KJV
And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 5:15
Why can't these interviewers ask better questions??
Ginger Rogers was a bum
What the hell are you talking about?
