way to go julie, you made it! I did the same thing forty five years ago haha, much different then, but lots the same too. thanks for sharing your basic training experience, thank you for your military service to this great nation keeping us safe and secure, and I salute you for a job well done! best wishes in tech school, and you will have a great future in the world's mightiest air force, it really is julie. god bless you.tom o'connor, MSgt USAF (ret)
The best advice is to live meal-to-meal. Although with as easy as these kids have it, that probably isn't even necessary anymore. Also, learn the ranks for every branch. It isn't difficult at all. Don't be such a scrub like most people...Joint Ops are much more common these days. Oh and congrats on joining the premier global Air Power organization!
I'd say being an element leader was one of the easiest jobs you could get in BMT. Besides getting yelled at when people messed up, you really didn't have to do much. As long as you got your ducks in a row you're chillin
1. when he said updated PT Standards where r they? 2. that girl at the end just stressed me tf out my run time is bad I don't want to get recycled I thought they help u is the run hard
They got updated when we went in over the summer. (Refer to my 5WOT video to get the whole story!) So you’re probably already put on to the most updated standards by now :) I’ll try and find them tho. Also, don’t be too stressed. If you go in not being able to pass a pt test that’s okay!! They will get you there :) everyone is just saying START working out beforehand, just to build endurance
The main difference is just that their evening schedule looks a little different. If I remember correctly, when we did our evening dust downs/details that’s when they had their practice. They practiced multiple days out of the week
Lots of people join and English is their second language! It could be challenging of course, but that’s the environment in general. I think you’d do just fine tho
@@Julieschannel222 the top golf off base is nice. And I reccomend getting the American express platinum card. (no yearly fee as acrive duty) you get 15 bucks for uber every month. So that way you save money on traveling off base 💰
Bring lace less shoes it will save u. Also don’t volunteer for anything unless u wanna put urself in a position of getting in trouble. If you want to get a leadership position then go for it but it’s not worth it imo. You will not see the light of the tunnel until the 5th week. But it will come and it will all be over so please don’t lose hope
@@antonionacarino1742 as long as they fit good get lace less shoes. You’ll be required to untied your shoes every night and lace them a certain way it’s a huge pain in the ass. Not to mention they check for your shoes being untied every night at least my MTIs and so many people got smoked for it. But you’re bound to forget once so save your time and trouble just get some laceless running shoes, and yes the shoes they give you are awful.
@@antonionacarino1742 keep in mind I was in BMT 3 weeks ago. The one kid who had laceless shoes everybody was pissed at cuz it was one less thing he didn’t have to worry about and ppl were jealous

How is it going bmt as a foreign?
I mean for a latin guy with medium english level?

Hey if you’re prior service army, do you have to do BMT or can you go straight to tech school?
I’m pretty sure you get to skip out on BMT. But I’d just talk with a recruiter about your options

Best advice: don't join the military.
2nd best advice: if you're smart, get yourself discharged.
