Totally just realized, I explained something wrong. When we finished our airman’s run, we didn’t immediately run back to our squadron, we ran back to the squadron we started at. Then from there, they made us run to our squadron (331st). That’s when I fell out, bc my body was so over it at that point🥹😅

I got emotional hearing you talk about graduation. I remember the feeling of watching my husband and just seeing him wanting to hug him so bad. I’m gonna be going to bmt and I’m already looking forward to graduating lol

Look into taking the PiCAT & also buy the Kaplan ASVAB book :) I’ll try to make a more in-depth video shortly

i thought if you chose national guard you get to choose which base you want to work at & are guaranteed that before you go to bmt? (if the job is available obviously) that’s what i was told. i was wondering if this is true. great video!
You will be assigned to the base before you go to BMT. It’s typically your home state, but verify with a recruiter

My Airman was there at the same time you were. He graduated 7/7. That Texas heat is no joke! 🔥 Did you loose anyone from your flight? My Airman said they lost one for not passing the drug test and one for failure to adapt to military life or something like that.

Is your family allowed to bring you a bag on graduation for tech school? My tech school is going to be at Lackland so I figured it would be easier than having to ship it
It would probably be easier on you if they came to your tech school to bring it, it’ll be one less thing for you to carry

Did anyone in your flight have to get waiver or go through the waiver process for depression in order to get in? I’m currently in the process of doing paperwork. I have two sons and a history ( no current) of postpartum depression and one of my biggest fears is being disqualified for a temporary mental illness.
I had to get a waiver for self harm scars from middle school. Surgeon general looked at my waiver request and it was approved after they sent me to a psychiatrist to do an evaluation on me. Now i ship off next month
ahhhh thank you for this. I can’t find hardly ANYTHING on waivers. Or anything for depression waivers for that matter.
This would be a question for a recruiter, I don’t have an answer for you, I’m sorry!!
if you can prove its temporary, and a psychiatrist can write a letter clearing you then you should be fine. If you took any medication you'll need to have it unprescribed along with your eval and you need to be off of it for at least 2 years. They'll want letters from everyone involved as well as records of your therapist visits, prescription pickups, and admissions. This is what i needed, and it really depends on the severity in most cases i believe so even with this you may be disqualified. But it's worth trying :)
We’re you able to access your personal bag when needed? I’ve seen videos of the bag yiu bring to basic being on top of your locker, but are you allowed to grab it down if you need something in it? Or where do they keep your personal bag if it’s not On top of your Locker?

When I complete tech school I’ll get a MED patch on the empty side. The one I have now is my squadron patch for where I’m at now
