Looking forward to recieving my one, though l always buy spare battery (dual 21700 p20 battery). This is what l asked Acebeam for a large torch not using special priority batteries, just 21700. So l am pleased but woukd still love more LEP types comjng from them.
Hi mate. I just go mine and while charging the electrical contact at the end of the battery nearest the USB connector got pretty hot while charging. I measured 58.7C which is pretty hot. I have emailed Acebeam about this. Excuse me asking but does yours do the same?
@@TorchHacker Thanks mate. I got the following message from Acebeam, which doesn't directly respond to my concern but I still appreciate their response: " Thanks for your feedback. Generally, it is normal to be a little warm when charging. This 21700 battery pack is made of two 21700 batteries in a 2S1P configuration. The copper ring of the ends around the battery pack serves as a signal transmission area. With built-in the chips of the battery- management and protection board monitor the charging process to ensure safety and reliability, which also enables the tail switch function to operate normally. so you can rest assured to use them. Our engineering teams have been testing every new Acebeam product repeatedly over months before releasing it to the market. For this new P20, it's tested again and again over 1 year before releasing in the market as ensuring the rugged durability, premium quality, without worrying of waiting for charging (Compatible with 2 x 21700 batteries). This P20 flashlight is the pinnacle of industrial design, perfect for outdoor navigation, long distance spotting, tactical and emergency missions."

I was able to use two unprotected 21700 cells with three spacers but the tailswitch does not work when doing this (the side switch works).

Mine gets warm but I don't think it reached 58.7C. I'll check the temperature with an IR tomorrow. I'm using USB-C PD and a USB-C QC3 power supply.
@@ianmaw66 I measured 30C

Yeah, I had been using the P20 for almost a week at this point and I only gave it a quick wipe.
