It's amazing how a car sitting since 40 years ago, it's in practically awesome shape. That's the thing I love from cars in the US. Sometimes they are just forgotten somewhere, but some people care enough to leave them indoors or something to keep them from rotting out. Some other cars aren't that lucky, but I've seen so many stories like this. I wish the same thing happened here in Mexico.... Well, it does happen but it's extremely rare
I lived in Germany in 1970 and owned a '55. Took it to a small neighbor VW shop and they tuned it, battery and 2 tires for 40 marks- at that time that was about $10.00. Enjoyed seeing DUB and the back story-
i have a buddy that has that same model bus,we thought it was a conversion for so many years, we used it to deliver pineapples, we found out for so many years that it happens to be an original, it's currently in the shop for some bodyworks, keep it up guys, more power to your channel
So cool another vw saved! What a great turnout. We had our Porsche/VW Show near Cincinnati recently and it was great seeing friends and thier cars. I liked Matt's interior lights. Take care and Peace
I'm a bit late to this party, so doing catch up on the VW Life vids. Brock's "Dub" is such a great story. Love these VW nights out, thanks for sharing. Gotta find me a Beetle, (and figure out how to hide it from my wife). -Burt in NJ.
Thank you guys so much for sharing the love of these VW's it makes me smile and hope to one day get to mine running and find new friends to share the love for them too. God Bless us all!
Great video y'all. It's good to know that there are still some VW material out there that isn't rusted to the ground with several thousand dollars price tags on them. You are doing a great job of keeping the community growing. Dub was a great find. Thanks for another better than tv show.
I enjoyed this video. I'm kinda sorry I missed this event. I'm going to try to make the next one. I just purchased a 71' Super Beetle (My 3rd VW) can't wait to drive it from San Antonio. I'm a big fan of VW Life! ✌🏼
G'day guys, Kevin here from Australia. What a great twin cab. I'll have to remind my wife she said i could get one. 🤪 Anyhoo thankyou so much for sharing stay safe. ✌ Peace
Great video, cool double cab! Gotta ask, i’ve heard a lot of different things, and have been trying out a bunch of different stuff, but got any advice what oil to run in bay window engines in hot weather? Being texas bus’s is there any brand and viscosity of oil you guys normally run? I’m in Phoenix, Az so it gets scorching hot here
so it's easy to say "just paint" but it's really involved and expensive. also, we aren't enjoying our VWs any less without a shiny paint job. aren't afraid to use them and abuse them. those shiny ones, hate to say it, sometimes never go on the adventures because of it.
@@VWLifeVW : With a Miata that's been in primer for the last five years, I get it. It's kind of alarming to see all the patina buses lined up in a row though.
Gary, your enthusiasm is great. So much positivity and good cheer. We love VW Life!
Literally the best channel ever! The real beauty of it is the telling of each VW’s individual story. I love it! Keep doing what you do!
Thanks! Will do!
