This is what makes baseball so great. . .You can watch a game and still have great conversation like this. . .They saw every play, and commented on the nice defensive putouts, and still gave you that special brand of warm, funny, and yet insightful chat that is really unique to baseball. Memories of old times, great players and friends they knew and played with. . .You just can't beat it in the good ol' summertime! I'm an older fan (I watched Uecker play for the 1964 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals as a kid growing up there), and I'm all for speeding the game up, (I'd even go for a 20 second time clock), but the way baseball lends itself to a few innings of this kind of conversation is special. . .Really enjoyed listening and watching these two guys. . .Oh, how I'd love to have a few beers with them and hear those stories they couldn't tell on TV!
It is almost more fun to listen to Bob Ueker than actually watching the game. He makes it fun. I grew up listening to the man's commentaries. Milwaukee is my home town baseball team. He said he will die commentating baseball.
At Wrigley Field during the seventh-inning stretch, I think the Cubs will let Bob Uecker and Ken Harrelson on the left-field video tron to sang "Take Me Out To The Ball Game".
All the great broadcasters are either gone, or are retiring soon. What a time to be alive, to have had the pleasure of listening to such greats, as these two!! #THEREALGOATS
At Wrigley Field during the seventh-inning stretch, I think the Cubs will let Bob Uecker and Ken Harrelson on the left-field video tron to sang "Take Me Out To The Ball Game".
And then they will probally boo because both teams are rivals unless they say the hawk not broadcasting after this season and bob retiring soon if he ever does
Just about every interview or even just a conversation that you see Uecker have with anyone leaves the other person in stitches. One of the truly funny human beings in America, sports related or non-sports related.
@@deanouellette1868 I think you missed what mosside just did there,,,,Go and watch the howard stern interview with norm and artie talking about uecker..
I was born and raised in Michigan I've had the honor and privilege of meeting and listening to Ernie Harwell one of the greats you don't think Tigers baseball without Ernie Harwell Harrelson and you are definitely in my top five
This was a complete joy to listen to. I wish the two did the whole game together. Instead of a 12:15 minute video it would be 3 hours and I would watch every second!
Two great announcers.. for baseball... Hawk besides Yaz.. was my favorite Red Sox... loved Hawk when he did the red sox too.. Bob Ueker.. was the greatest.. especially on the John Carson show..
I am old enough to remember the end of Bob's playing career but I really got to appreciate him through Howard Cosell on Monday Night Baseball and his appearances on the Tonight Show when he got Johnny Carson to laugh so hard, he couldn't speak.
I grew up listening to baseball over the radio. Late 60s in Pittsburgh Bob Prince was one of the best. His "green weenie" predated the terible towel. A green plastic tube with beens inside to make noise when shook.
Uke - The Man, The Myth, THE LEGEND! He is truly Mr Baseball, and a man's man in the world of America's pastime. Such a kind man to boot! Get well, Uke,
At Wrigley Field during the seventh-inning stretch, I think the Cubs will let Bob Uecker and Ken Harrelson on the left-field video tron to sang "Take Me Out To The Ball Game".
As a young fan of the Kansas City Athletics, I remember reading the weekly Sporting News and noticing that in 1962 the A's had a player named Ken Harrelson playing for the Binghamton club in the Class A Eastern League. He had hit 38 home runs with 138 RBI's. I was optimistic that he would be the type of slugger that would soon improve the A's prospects. He eventually played with the A's but he never had that good a season until he joined the Red Sox.
Every broadcast I listen to of the current crop hoping to hear hints of agreeable replacents for these guys... so far there are none, rare personalities for sure,...so genuine and at ease...not to mention downright original humor 😂
5:23 was hoping Ueck was gonna say "now you can see that I'm streaking on the field" (windbag) lmao seemed like it was an exact type of joke he'd make.
Who doesn't like Bob Uecker? That's Not American! Baseball on the Radio is the soundtrack of Summer! Starting with ST in late Feb on the Weekends and April thru Sept, it's a reliable safe place in a upsidedown world.
I had no idea about this. Incredible. I cannot possibly place any sort of value on this meeting. To quote Dave Grohl: "THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST!"
Get the whole gang who protected Betty White together and protect Bob!

I remember Cleveland making a deal with The Red Sox to get the Hawk. In one game Hawk slid into 2nd to get a double and broke his ankle! I think Cleveland sent Gary Bell to Boston as part of the deal!
Listening to Hawk call the world series win in 05 was great! This Milwaukee fan want's to hear Bob Uecker get his turn b4 He Gone too! Now's the time Brew Crew!
@Ulysses432 Man, Joe Buck fucking sucked announcing in 05 (and honestly, most World Series and Super Bowls). You could tell in the tone of his voice that he really didn't give a shit about the White Sox winning that year. Hearing Hawk's reaction to the win would have been absolutely amazing.

Two of the best ever! They don't make em like this anymore.
James Rinaudo couldn't of said it better if I said it myself
100%!!!
Most announcers are trained to not be like those two
And that is a problem
Bob Uecker is a classic. We've been privileged to hear the likes of him, Harrelson and Scully.
L E : Vin was and always will be my all time favorite, but Ueker is damn near tied!
Dont forget brennaman
And Kalas.
Harry Caray too
The Hawk was no slouch

yeah, but we have joe buck!
Uecker is the best.... It's a great video of Hawk and Uecker cutting it up. Two real good legends of the sport
Just about every interview or even just a conversation that you see Uecker have with anyone leaves the other person in stitches. One of the truly funny human beings in America, sports related or non-sports related.
I learned of Bob because of the great stories Norm Macdonald and Artie Kline told.
You mean Artie Lange, don't you?
"The bag's on you!"
If it wasn't for Uecker, those long bad seasons that the Brewers had would have been even longer.
@@deanouellette1868 I think you missed what mosside just did there,,,,Go and watch the howard stern interview with norm and artie talking about uecker..

My favorite Uecker line, on how to catch a knuckleball: just wait for it to stop rolling and then go pick it up.
I feel better every time I hear Bob talk. God Bless him!
Awesome segment with these two legends. All baseball fans should enjoy this and their stories.
Two of the best baseball personalities ever and two of the best uniforms ever !

WITHOUT A DOUBT 2 OF THE GREATEST CALLERS OF THE GAME OF ALL TIME!!!
I am old enough to remember the end of Bob's playing career but I really got to appreciate him through Howard Cosell on Monday Night Baseball and his appearances on the Tonight Show when he got Johnny Carson to laugh so hard, he couldn't speak.
I respect their love for the game. Nothing like kicking it with a good friend, and the memories are invaluable! Tienen todo mi respeto.
I could listen to these two chat for hours!
Bob Ueker is a born comedian who was good enough to play Major League Baseball.
He's quipped that he was worried that Sandy Koufax would miss out on making the Hall of Fame after Bob hit a home run off of him 😂😂😂
I grew up listening to baseball over the radio. Late 60s in Pittsburgh Bob Prince was one of the best. His "green weenie" predated the terible towel. A green plastic tube with beens inside to make noise when shook.
I wish this had been a lot longer inning. Could listen to those legends talk for hours ❤️
I'll definitely miss The Hawk and all his Hawkisms! Mercy
Awesome ! Def makes baseball more fun to watch listening to ol skool ppl talk about the past ! Def will miss Hawk a ton !
It’s amusing to hear about two guys who played in the 60’s taking about texting each other.
It is. Do you think they will ever Zoom too?

Great stuff. Bobby U. is a national treasure.
Cannot not will I EVER forget The HAWK!!!!! As well as Uke
"Where's the booze?" - Uecker
I almost missed that!
One of the many reasons I love baseball is the great stories the old timers have, such good stuff.
Sure going to miss the Hawkeroo and love Uke...! Two of the best EVER!!!!!
Two greats two friends can’t get much better!
Now this is baseball. Two legendary figures talking about the game in the past, while calling the present game.
Love Hawk, and Im in KC. Great announcer, all about the passion to me.
Bob Uecker is one of the best to ever do it.
This is amazing! I wish every game was like this

Thomas Wolf fences were too far.
I love bob. I wish I was around to watch him play in his younger days.
I could listen to the stories all day long
been listening to uecker call brewer games since before i was born
"Get up, get up, get out of here...GONE for Glenn Braggs!!!"
Just a little bit outside!! Must be in the front row!! Love Bob!!
HAWK MY FAVORITE RED SOX.... what a golfer too... BOB EUKER.. was awesome
Uke is a legend. Great announcer
Every broadcast I listen to of the current crop hoping to hear hints of agreeable replacents for these guys... so far there are none, rare personalities for sure,...so genuine and at ease...not to mention downright original humor 😂
The Red Sox made a big mistake letting Hawk go. I could listen to both of these guys talk all game.
5:23 was hoping Ueck was gonna say "now you can see that I'm streaking on the field" (windbag) lmao seemed like it was an exact type of joke he'd make.
A legend with a man who is a legend in his own head.
Luv hearing the old war stories!
I prefer to listen to the Brewers on radio just to hear Uke. Always entertaining regardless of the game.
two of the greats
2 of the all time greats
Glad both guys have been recognized with the Excellence In Broadcasting Award in Cooperstown.
I hate the brewers and I hate the sox... but I would listen to these legends talk about those 2 teams religiously if I could.
Bob has outlived a lot of guys. Especially my good friend Roger Craig. Many great stories!
The two funniest guys in broadcasting, period
Hawk’s going to the HoF soon, you betcha!
I saw this on tv! We miss you Hawk!!! ⚪️⚫️⚪️⚫️
Uecker sounds so much younger than he really is
I don't know why I'm here.. I don't watch baseball and I don't know these two.. But I like them
If this video was 3 hours. I’d watch it all
This is great!
Uecker is a national treasure.
Hawkeroo was the best! Respect to Bob Uecker as well.
Someone said that Ueker was the kind of guy that whenever his name is mentioned people smile. That is quite the compliment.
Love those unis...old school new style
man would i love to hear those stories.
OMG hilarious!! Don't know which line I like the best, the nose one or the golf tournament 🤣
My two most favorite announcers.
Love how this is the real life version of Vaughn's final strike out of the Duke in Major League
bob is the best!!!!
The most iconic duo EVER
With Ueck on PxP and Hawk on color, they would have been legendary together.
Who doesn't like Bob Uecker? That's Not American! Baseball on the Radio is the soundtrack of Summer! Starting with ST in late Feb on the Weekends and April thru Sept, it's a reliable safe place in a upsidedown world.
The Hawk was a fan fave when he played for the Indians. Man, I was just a little kid back then.
Anything Uecker!!!
I wanna hear the off air stories over a case of cold beers
I had no idea about this. Incredible. I cannot possibly place any sort of value on this meeting. To quote Dave Grohl: "THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST! THE BEST!"
Protect Uecker at all cost.

Hawk didn't call the game. TV was national broadcast, Radio was John Rooney and Ed Farmer. John now calls radio for the Cardinals.
Who would of thought 2 years later, the world would go up-side-down.
LEGENDARY
This is awesome
Joe Garagiola had some great stories...he and Yogi.
At Wrigley Field during the seventh-inning stretch, I think the Cubs will let Bob Uecker and Ken Harrelson on the left-field video tron to sang "Take Me Out To The Ball Game".
Harrelson at Wrigley? I doubt it.
Derrick Yee he’s a die heart sox fan
I do not know this to be true, but I have a feeling that Ueker was a tough guy as a player that nobody messed with.
Hawk even talks about it, there was more racism in the 60s, Uke’s job was to have guys like Aaron’s back if needed
You would be correct.
I wish they would tell those stories they can’t say on the air.
"Just a bit outside"
I’d become a Brewers fan to have privilege of Ueck calling the games.
So great!
Bob was good against hall of famers those
Class act gentlemen
hawk and uke. now there's a pair.
Looks like front row!
Now I wanna know what happened in Boston
The world will never know lol

Gold.
Hawk Harrelson is the Bill Laimbeer of baseball announcers. You hate his guts, unless he's on your team.
I’m an A’s fan and I loved watching White Sox games on WGN when possible because of Hawk.
Who down votes this???
4 people that a) don't want to enhance their baseball I.Q., and b) don't have a sense of humor. :)
Cub fans?
Paul Thomas I was gonna say that.
+Paul Thomas Who ELSE would dislike this.
