Hi folks, here is part 30 of my EXTREME PLAYTHROUGH of Days Gone. I hope you all enjoy the video.
Another exciting episode of Wild Kingdom lol. I don't think there was a single animal that we didn't see , they were everywhere .That was impressive how you took care of that bounty mission in a cave full of runners and yes , you did hit the runner with the flame bolt near the beginning and I was as surprised as you were that it didn't register. Great job as well getting the breakers to battle each other and easily escaping with the yeast. When I think of all the trouble I had , well I'd rather not think about it lol. Marvelous video my friend , and you can count on me being around for the next. Well done Boris !
Thank you my friend. Good to know I'm not getting paranoid about the amount of animals coming for me on this playthrough, lol. The yeast mission was always going to go well as the residue bolt option was decided on before I started this playthrough, but I'm genuinely relieved to get past that cave of runners. Any future playthroughs will always have me hold on to a crossbow now, as they are so damned versatile.
Remember the superior metal axe is also at the wizard island lookout where you stop with kouri to reminisce about sarah
Also at the visitor centre and the ski lodge.

@@allanmoncrieff5579 no worries Allan, there are a few superior maces knocking around as well. Not as good as the axe but not much in it. Unfortunately can't remember where they are!!! 😔

I always forget about that one Allan, but these bad boys respawn, so I should never have too many problems getting these. An area I use later in the playthrough is very near the Rimview Ranch Horde's cave. Just down the hill from that cave, there are no less than 2 Superior metal Axes within 20 meters of each other.

I think you and the Rager had the same thought here - reminds me of the Rager that watched you take out a horde & then ducked it's head & went the other way 😂😂😂 (Trying to put all my inane comments in one, so as not to overwhelm you with notifications...I hope! Idk how it works)
EDIT #3) 38:00 I love coming it from the top of the mountain/above the cave with this camp/mission. Then I use rocks to lure & residue bolts to do a lot of the dirty work 😂🎉
This was a crazy episode with all the things going on L8D. Truly delighted to get that runners mission out of the way. I directional sense in the cave is worse than when I'm riding the bike, lol.
Boris, that runner cave mission can be tricky at the best of times. I remember the first time i beat it... the relief... and then you come out to a rager 😅
If i remember right i think there was a superior metal axe at the yeast/breaker visitors centre.

Brilliantly done as always Boris. I always find those bloody wolves a nightmare, they are relentless. The first time I did that first mission the rager was peeking out from behind the metal container, scared the hell out of me! Can't wait for the next one. 🇬🇧

I hate that runner mission. I have Samuel L. Jackson in my head, "I have had it with these muthaf*cking [runners in] this muthaf*cking [cave]! This is the one mission that I thought could end my run using your load out. In the end I was shocked at how fast I got through it using the crossbow. I used the incendiary bolts, smoke bombs and hustled my ass straight in and out the other side after I grabbed the souvenir . LOL I hardly engaged the buggers. I study each and everyone of your episodes to see the next thing I'm going to learn from you. As always you are the Master. I can't wait for the Anarchist mission. You know the one I'm talking about. LOL Ride on!

In Scotland, it's rarely hot my friend, lol. Scotland reminds me of the Cascade region in Days gone, always raining & windy as hell, lol. One of the reasons I feel such a connection to that region I guess. Thank you for the kind words as always Bubu, you're an absolute gent my friend.
That was a very productive episode Boris quite a few things accomplished. My gosh I despise that mission in the runner cave! And that was a close one with the breakers 😂 can’t wait for more episodes 👍🏻👍🏻 take care my friend.

29:49 this was also one of my favorite Nero "home bases", spent many a night here lol. btw two years ago you sped right past this site to come back at a later date 😉I'm very confused watching both runs currently 😆
Honestly, the first run, I thought the Nero Injector was in a cave below that area, that's why I never stopped. I know better now James, lol.

Nice! I never thought to try Residue Bolts on runners. That is a game changer, my friend. In my experience, runners are bullet sponges on Survival II, but you made it look easy as usual, lol. I will have to try this on the next playthrough.

And last time you smoked those breakers near the yeast. This time you are using the bow a lot more! Nice!
This time James, the gameplan was to always use residue bolts, as I knew there would be at least 2 breakers there, and it worked very nicely. Any future playthroughs, I'm going to stick with the crossbow as it's insanely good. The other 2 weapons, not a f^&%$£g chance, lol.

The keeping souvenirs mission is super difficult even on easy. I think I struggled hard on survival 2

Question: are you allowed to purchase the weapon upgrades for the 9mm and SAF12 from wizard island? (I'm not sure if there are)
The SAF ain't an option as it's not a weapon that's been purchased, in fact, neither is my 9mm, so I simply can't upgrade either. If I had that option though, I wouldn't do it on this playthrough.
