anyone remember playing BTD5 on round 100 on an iphone 3GS and getting a few frames a minute?
Actually turning the speed down had the opposite effect because the game was not lagging so much.
I played it on pc and got to round 277 on BTD5 and had to wait minutes to know if I died or lived
I had the iphone 6s when the btd5 released with early access for free lol.

I still rememeber when the monkey ace didn't have a runway. You could stack them forever in an unbeatable infinity symbol.
It was far from unbeatable, but it was notable as pretty much the only thing left to build after you filled out your ground real estate with Sun Gods.

After getting radar he should have sold them for more popping power.
@@JohnSmith-ox3gy At that point the ninjas are nolonger used for popping. Their confusion and stun is still pretty good as ice towers fire so slowly.

There is a level leaderboard that shows speed runs done per level like what you just did. Sprint track on hard 1st place time is 11m 41s
well yeah, but for those speedruns they have all towers and upgrades unlocked beforehand. Although i will agree that this speedrun was terribly optimised and probably could be shortened to somewhere a lot closer to that time. It just annoyed me that the strat was just not losing strats, instead of speedrun strats, like theres a full half second or so of travel time for the bloons before you can even start targeting them

This was one of my childhood games. I played btd5 so much that I unlocked master mode. Then one day I decided to see how high I could get in rounds, and I got to about round 250 before the old iPad I played on sadly died and I lost the account 😭
Here’s the strategy I used: on the first easy map easy difficulty, create a rainbow regen farm for Infinite money. With the money, make 11 or 12 maxed sacrificed sun gods powered by villages. Then completely FLOOD the map with bloonchippers wherever they’re in range of the track which will forever stall until every blimp is popped. With the rest of the space, get plenty of ninja, ice etc abilities, stun snipers set at various firing rates and then full up the rest of the space with the robot super monkeys. I never even got close to dying even at round 250+, but every round was running at like 2fps and took like an hour to complete. I wonder how far it could go

I remember playing the original Bloons games. They were decent, but nothing too exciting. I then remember when Bloons Tower Defense came out. I thought it was a gimmick at first, but found myself enjoying it much more than I expected.

I am playing BTD6 now since a year, i think the development from BTD5 to BTD6 is just crazy
three times around is the same exact thing except when the bloons go around they dont get further from the center. it might be a shorter map, but its still the same going by Eazy Speazy's explanation of why sprint track is good.

Monkey ace is broken if you get the upgrade where he shoots bombs. I always use him instead of super monkeys and like 3 of them beats most maps
Back in Bloons TD 4, it had an important distinction: it was the only tower that didn't occupy ground real estate. Once you'd filled out the ground with Sun Gods and support towers (Monkey villages, ice towers, glue gunners, tempest sorcerers, etc.), the only thing you could add from then on was Monkey Aces.
Now, it has the runway, so I rarely use more than one; there are a lot of towers that can use that real estate more effectively.

yeah I grinded so long... then I had a Problem with my Memory and I lost my entire progress... over 50h or even more gone. Never played that game again.
This is highly optimizable for sure. He made a pretty fatal flaw by not putting something (tack shooter or boomerang monkey for my money) in the opening right near the start of the map. He would have been able to pop off-screen Bloons and moved quite a bit quicker. There were a few rounds where he was waiting for the Bloons to get to his cluster before any EXP was able to go up.
I remember playing this game in elementary and middle school when I was supposed to be doing homework (shhh), what a throwback, and I love the speedrun videos!

I did this strat and it’s super easy to beat on hard mode. I had absolutely no issues beating the 85 rounds. Then I went into free play and got absolutely smoked on round 87. The difficulty bumps up almost INSTANTLY
Yep same here, 86 onward is just ridiculous. I remember one time I had an insane setup and was able to get to round like 130 or something but that was after selling all my towers and buying like 10 maxed out robo and golden monkeys

I am a real og :) I started playing BEFORE btd4 came out, I remember not really liking btd1 and 2, but because I loved the Bloons Puzzle series and BTD3 was pretty decent, I thought I would give btd4 a shot, when it came out, and it was amazing!
@@haronka ayy fellow og. well your more so actually 1 generation before me (in terms of the Ninja Kiwi franchise) I officially started my journey in 2015 but ive seen the game since before btd5 came out.
I've gotten to round 137 in this game at most and that is because I ran out of time to actually play the game longer. Past around round 90 everything is blimps, there are no bloons. At round 86 which is when the ZOMGs come in (on the last version of course) I usually have tons of moab maulers and even more sniper monkeys to rip through everything.

I remember using arctic wind + ice shards with ice specialty building (which makes them freeze white, zebra and camo bloons). No regular bloon can get past it, the only worry is MOABs. The only downside is the 5 second lag spike whenever the ice shards tower freezes 50 million ceramic bloons
This one was my childhood.
I’m gonna say, BTD5 was also my first Bloons game. The nostalgia here is intense.
