- This simple whip stitch is just like an invisible applique stitch-but bigger, and visible! use it with felted wool in places where a blanket stitch is too much. Use the whip stitch to neatly and securely stitch your felted wool applique shapes to your block. Leave it as is or follow up with embroidery or embellishments.

Thank you for your explanation! This was EXACTLY what I needed as I start my first wool applique project. I come from garment sewing so I was very confused by the whip stitch (mainly why it was so comparatively large) but your video really demystified it.
