Thank you for opening it up! So I own just the sub. Bought it for 50$ in 2015. I built my own box to use it in my home theater. Sounds phenomenal! In some ways better than my alpine type x 12", because it handles 60-100hz so much better. But I've always wanted to build 'this' box.
I just got the new version and I love it put it in my 2017 civic perfect for a sub your just going to put with your stock system it nice not and killer thumper but its very nice for some bass
That sub actually doesn't sound bad it's a good sub if you are going to use it for temporary if some dumb ass break's into you're car I'm planning on getting it one of these days so it doesn't really matter what you think of it I could care less I just wanted to see what you said about it
I bought the GT BassPro12 about 6 weeks ago. I was using it in my home theater connected to a 12 volt power supply. It stopped working a few weeks ago. It will NOT power up. Any help would be appreciated. I live in a small town with limited repair shops here.
Hey Dude. Great Video. Overall looks really good. I have a Infinity Basslink installed right now, do uknow this one too? I cant find any comparison to this one. Would this be better than the Infinity Basslink? Im a Noob in Car Audio sorry. Greetz
What do you think the 2 12 version of this would sound like? "the jbl gt5-2402br" it's a bit over $300 And the skar audio dual 12" 2400w is like $300 as well which one do you think would sound louder and better?
i have 2 and i love them,im in the process of building a non ported box to custom fit my car and ive already transplanted the woofers,im waiting to route the mounting holes for the amps, ive been thinking of just using my hifonics zeus 2 channel that used to push my savards pretty hard back in the day, what do you think?,thanks and thanks for the video
You never liked jbl? My gti mkII and power series p1024 would shit on most things that were out there. These two jbl's destroy my Fosgate hx2, and the mkII is better than my stroker 122 while the p1024 can go toe to toe with the stroker and hold its own. Both will dig deep, the p1024 is rated 400rms but will handle 800-900rms all day, amazing sound quality, very accurate, and the jbl power has a 92db sensitivity. There's a lot to like about jbl. Nice video!
I was thinking of getting two of these for my full sized bronco, what are your thoughts? I’m looking to get a good amount of bass while keeping my price lower, considering this has an amp built in I would think this would help a lot

Does anyone know the dimensions of the speaker itself? Tryna make the box smaller and separate the amp. I know it’s a 12” but from top of cone to bottom of magnet? Anyone?
I'm looking at these, but the product pictures shown online don't show that auto turn-on button for some reason. If I get one and it doesn't have it, do I still need to tap into my ACC line on my harness?
If for what ever reason it did not have the auto function, yes you would have to. How ever I would still highly suggest doing so anyways. Much more stable turn in at lower volumes and you will not come back to your car only to find the battery dead because of a low end ic.
How much did you set the gain to and what the excursion? This woofer seemed to be moving very little, did I see that right? It plays the notes but does it punch? Thanks in advance Chris
He said it's only 150W, 25Amp fuse suggests it may be a 200W rms amp, and I believe it's a GT5 sub rated for 275W rms (takes 400W rms just fine, but might get temporarily smelly while the coil glue cures) they are decent for the price. But to get them moving/banging they need a large box 2ft3 as they are terribly inefficient in a small box from experience.
I recently just wired this baby up in my fusion, but there is absolutely no excursion. The green light is on, the red isnt (which is good) but i can’t get any action from the subwoofer. If you put your hand on it you can feel it slightly, but there’s nothing coming from the sub itself. Can someone help?
I just bought the JBL GT Basspro12 At a garage sale for $40. It didn’t come with the little packages of wire and such or the RBC knob. I’m a total newby at wiring but do I really need the RBC knob?
Hey, do you think I can use two subs with the amp? Because I got the same one without an amp and I would like to build a custom case with both of them.
So I have a 10 in in my trunk I’m thinking about adding this as well to a two door car would this sub be something that could move some windshields or no
