Probably the most annoying aspect of car ownership these days, especially Prius ownership…
They suck for tall people.
they learned their lessons and 4th gen Prius tuck the cat really deep inside. These cats are immediately follow after the exhaust manifold each side. They are no longer exposed for a quick cut like 2nd and 3rd gen.
Insight manual by Honda will over 100 mph
W a FoMoCo IMA pack and all the aero & other hyper-mods, etc: I bet a G1 MT Insight could smash this record
I own this car. It's awesome. But I don't hypermile. I've gotten 90MPG around town.
The Prius does so many things well. And fuel efficiency potential is scary high.
they should call it guinness book of european records as byd launched hybrid last year that gives you 125 miles/gallon or 1553 miles on single fill.
Then this would only cost me $ 3.54 for 1 gallon to drive to and back from work . This would be great 👍 .
My right foot is too heavy for this...
My next car to commute to work😁
2011 Skoda Fabia "GreenLine" station wagon makes 107 mpg.
Ya but what's its smug emissions like?
Crikey id love to see what this guy can do with a Tesla model 3 with a rated 146 mpge.
Are you talking Prius PHEV?
No, a base LE (not Prime).
Another way to get higher MPG: Weight reduction: 1. Decrease the car body weight (Carbon fiber hood and body) ; 2, Decrease the person body weight (Carb free diet) or change of Ethnicity.
More efficient than an EV
Actually not. Bought a Kia EV6 in 2022, 30,000km since averaging between 16kWh/100km and 22kWh/100km (when temp below freezing). The equivalent in fuel would be around 1.9l/100km to 2.6l/100km (1l of fuel contains approx. 8,6kWh of energy).
This dude tailgates behind a big rig to reduce wind friction. There's the secret.
I wonder what the worst mpg a new Prius could get?
they did a great job and didn't even use easy aero tricks like covers the rear wheels or using full hub covers
That's the point.
the le version does use mostly closed black wheel covers
The Prius isn't a car, it's an alien space ship 👽🛸
Someone needs to clarify if this is the Prime and or AWD. I assume its just the FWD, non Prime Hybrid SE.
Was not a Prime. A base Prius LE.
Volkswagen made a 200+ mpg car once
The XL1 - such a cool car.
It's a shame it was a ridiculously expensive car that could hardly be daily driven. It was great tho.
It must have been top speed from start to finish
