I ordered 2 sets of these for under 400$ shipped after taxes. can't wait to get them in! they look identical to these just with white lettering for the brand text. 320 lbs and I paid 389 after shipping. its hard to find steel plates that cheap so I hopped on.
Having thinner plates is a big deal. Once you get over 500lbs in any lift, you don't want to deal with not having enough room on the sleeve. That bounce rate is important if you've got mirrors in your gym near the floor but vibration isn't cool if you're using these on the second floor (i.e. you're in a second floor apartment). Of course, if you're in that situation, you'd definitely want to lift on a platform any way so that might not matter.
Having thinner plates is a subjective matter...competition plates are great but it depends who's using them in the first place. I'd say the majority of garage gym athletes aren't even pushing 500lbs on anything.

Me too, I put in the request a while ago! The best deal I could find on KG bumpers is Wright Equipment if you can pick them up or live nearby. Next would be Rogue HG 2.0, then Vulcan Colored Training KG Plates.
Really interested to hear about those Velaasa shoes... The heel seems like it would be in the height sweet spot for me, but there are construction aspecs which give me pause. Did you get some leistungs in the new colorway with the new material as well? I saw those on the adidas website the other day and thought they looked fantastic-aesthetically anyway. I just bought some NOS Matocha M last month but I don't really want to run those into the ground being impossible to replace in my size so probably will bite on a secondary pair of wl shoes soon.
I love them, one of my favorite WL shoes so far. They remind me most of my Asics 727! Currently waiting on the black pair to get to me to do the video, but my mind is already made up on how they perform!
As Many Reviews As Possible This is really encouraging to hear. What is the width similar to? Hopefully not adidas narrow. Visually, they look 50% legacy 50% nike but with the wood heel. I have been wary of the glue joints mostly as every pair I have seen has looked unpolished in this regard but these had to be preproduction mules so I have been waiting to see. Only other thing is the upper seemed a bit, idk how to put it.. A bit shapeless and bunchy just above the toebox? Might just be the solid color throwing me off there. As for the Leistungs, they are always going to be dominated by the sole characteristics imo, but they have been making incremental improvements to the overall shoe. The first ones with no laces were dogs.
