I’m all about paying a premium for quality US made products. With that being said.. I think Companies like Titan are needed in order to keep Companies like Rogue honest and in-line on their pricing. I have several products from both companies and it is hard to not go with Titan for most of the large ticket items like power racks, yokes and logs for the average consumer that don’t have $10,000 to invest in a garage gym. Rogues customer service is top notch but Titans is improving. I recently made a large order and had a couple of major cosmetic defects on two items. I emailed Titan and received a response the next day requesting pictures. I sent pictures immediately and they responded within hours with an offer to send replacement products or accept a significant amount of Titan points to be put on my account. I responded accepting the points and they were put in my account that same day. I 100% agree with you regarding Titan bars. Stick with Rogue or TPB for these items if you are a serious lifter. Titan bars are still better than most commercial gym bars though. Keep the reviews coming. I enjoy your channel as our setups are very similar.
Thanks for sharing that story on Titan. I love when companies offer great customer service, I think it truly is a differentiator. Excited to see how all companies will improve going forward!
Dont forget on titan, you get 5% back in points on every purchase in credit. Not bad grabbing some small accessory items for free after a bigger purchase.
My home gym is made from both companies: Titan T-3 Power Rack Titan Flip Down Safeties Titan T-3 Dip Attachment Titan Adjustable Monolift Attachment Titan Spotter Arms Titan Adjustable Incline Bench Titan Red Fat Grips Titan 25lb Bumper Plates Titan 50lb Weight Vest Titan Adjustable DBs 5-100lbs Titan EZ Curl Bar Titan Pull Sled Rogue Ohio Power Bars (2) Rogue Utility Bench 2.0 Rogue Black Olympic Plates 45lbs (8) As you can see, I prefer TITAN. The cost is a huge factor and the quality is not bad at all. I think you should not cheap out on barbells, so I went Rogue. Titan did not have plates at the time so I got Rogue, but will buy more plates here soon and they'll come from Titan. Great Review!
Good review. One thing I would like to add is, its hard to tell the strength of a weld by looking at it. A lot of the time the best looking welds are the weakest, Titan could be using stick welding, which might be why it looks worse. But depending on the stick they are using it might be better, more impact resistant, better penetration, etc. With welding, strength and ascetics are completely separate, and its hard to judge one by the other.
Great review. I didn’t think I would be interested in Titan but the price difference is too good. As you said, I’m going to have to decide where I spend my money on my home gym! Thanks for the review
Great comparison...excited to see more Titan products come out to compete with rogue...competition is great, especially for the consumer!! Thanks for the great video...keep up the good work!!
You mentioned that Titan Fitness "make things for cheaper". I can promise you that they cost very close to the same amount to make, but Rogue is the much alrger name brand and will always mark up hundreds of percent more because of that. I can't blame them, people buy it so it clearly works out. Titan is doing the smart thing and making identical equipment (Minus a little build quality) and just lowering the markup to get their foot in the door of the industry and it's working. Could nearly buy two Titan racks for the price of one Rogue rack.
CoopTrains I bought the Titan Viking Press handle. I believe it was $40 with free Amazon shipping and it is my favorite all around piece of equipment. Definitely going to try more Titan products in the future.
Titan for racks and stuff just due to price. Rogue for anything like barbells/things I’m holding. Titan just came out with some cheap metal plates that look pretty decent.
Just bought a pair of titan paralettes. Used to use the rogue paralettes at a gym and loved them. Wanted some for home but couldn’t bring myself to buy them for $130. Got the titan version for under $60 on black friday and they are built like a tank. Wasn’t expecting that at all. Worth every penny.
I'll admit I'm a sucker for matching logos AND gorgeous looking things AND getting things that are the best in the industry. I don't think people realize how nice that combination is as an option. Is it for everyone? Probably not, but a home gym can last a long time, get resold and require near zero maintenance/upkeep. 99.9% of people don't give a F about your body, you might as well make your gym just as aesthetic and enjoy it.
EliteFTS and others were making the Westside style 2x3 and 3x3 racks years before Rogue and strongman competitors were welding yokes, logs and all of our other proprietary eqt in our garages long before either Rogue or Titan "appropriated" the designs we came up with. In this industry everybody takes from everybody, but Titan does it cheaper while still supporting a large domestic workforce. I only trust American steel for my bars, but for nearly everything else, its hard to go wrong w/ Titan.
90% of my gym is Rogue, but I just made my first Titan purchase. I ordered their 20” dumbbell handles. Mainly cause their dumbbell handles, not barbells ...and I got two of them for $80ish shipped. I’ll be using them for presses vs snatches. I’d be interested to see a Rogue/Titan comparison on these.
I live in Ohio and come from a manufacturing town so... Rogue for me. The thing is, China may be cheaper but when you buy from there your money go and stays there. However when you spend local (US) it may be more money but you benefit from that money staying here. Think about it, say you are a gym owner, banker, cable installer, police officer, work at burger king, whatever, you get paid by other people and it is a good thing if those other people have a decent paying job. Sometimes things cost more than you pay for them.
Michael Pietrzak You brought up a very Important!!! generally overlooked, aspect!!! Yes, having knowledge on the varieties of Steel!!! is a very crucial factor!!! When dealing with promoting company products. There always EXIST varying advantages and disadvantages between Companies. Both Titan and Rogue are great at each of their equipment producing specialties!!! On one end: Barbell producing quality!!! along with other products Etc... Is Very Important!!! On the other end: The Quality of Steel!!! used to make the Equipment!!! That, is very important to consider!!! In some aspects,Titan!!! In other aspects, Rogue!!! It's all about the context. You, brought up an Excellent Context!!! In many ways, the most important one to even discuss!!! P.S. Excellent Point!!!
Title seems like the Rogue of boxing equipment, and Titan Fitness has mimicked their adjustable heavy bag stand. I’ve got the Titan version in my garage and it seems pretty solid. It was also less than 1/2 the cost of the Title. I’d like to support the original and/or purchase products made in the USA, but it’s hard to argue with a relatively well made product that costs significantly less!
I think rogue does a great job but you are acting like rogue invented the power rack...they didn't invent a thing...they do however have great customer service, solid build quality etc..in an industry known for awful customer service ...
I'm not acting like they invented the power rack, but they did come up with the design for the Yoke and they have invented many things. Do a patent search for Coulter Ventures, LLC and you'll find a few of the things they invented. Has Rogue borrowed ideas from others, certainly, but I think it's important to note if that affects someones buying decision.
Titan has changed the game as far as equipment goes. Rogue makes quality equipment for sure but Titan is right there for half the cost. Barbells...I completely agree Titan barbells are shit. Not awful for me since I'm not doing Olympic lifts and needing that inertia but the knurl is the worst, it might as well be a smooth bar. It's also pretty flexy under weight. At 545 the bar whips pretty good.
@@Bearleaux I'm with you on Titan. My first buy was their "cheap" Midway bar and hot damn that thing is well made. I'm relieved that since the time that you posted your comment, they've improved the quality of their bars and probably with everything else. I bench just over 400 and i'll tell you this, a bar that costs over twice as much doesn't add a single pound to my lift. 👍
The Atlas bar is my first home gym barbell. It's way better than the cheap ones at my old gym but the rogue bars I used when I was traveling we're the shit. I'll probably get a duffalo bar in the distant future and turn the Atlas into a landmine bar.
No one can change my mind on this but my opinion is that Rogue is way overpriced despite the quality. For $350 at Rogue you get a Chrome plated bar with 200k PSI tensile strength. At titan fitness for $135 you get a chorme plated bar with 190k PSI tensile strength. Both are way stronger than most home gyms would ever need. Everything on rogue is extremely expensive for what it is. Rogue is just way too expensive for it to be just a little better in little areas
This isn't a good way to look at it. This is like me saying, "I can get a pickup that tows 5,000 pounds from Ford for $30,000 or I can get a pickup truck that can tow the same weight from Kia for $25,000." ( I know that Kia doesn't have a pickup.) But then you're ignoring so many things. Consistency, durability, material, workmanship, etc. From Rogue I got a bar that was made in the USA with stricter quality standards, consistency throughout their products, proven customer service, lifetime warranty for my model, and knowing that I helped and supported a company with better work standards than Titan did. I plan on keeping this bar for a long time. $350 over 20 years isn't much. I'd gladly pay a bit more to know that the people who made this product weren't wage slaves.
Thanks for the showdown review. I have a combination of titan and rogue equipment. My decision was based more on $$ than anything else. I am a beginner to the Garage Gym setup ans was able to score some decent equipment via craigslist. Your reviews have really helped me. Can you do some reviews of the TITAN VS FRINGE VS GETRXD?
Thanks Coop - had a question. Did Titan ship the yoke it to you with the knowledge you were going to review it? It seemed higher quality than most of their racks - is it possible they made a special one for you?
Posting this here for those interested.. Titan’s cheaper option bar is now on sale for only 89.95.. it has good reviews and while I’m sure it’s not a great bar or even remotely comparable to the two in this video for anyone looking for a good “beater” bar it’s hard to beat a solid chrome plated bar for under $100.. just a heads up, I might get one just for my land mines and similar set ups. Also, their “economy” bar is now only $77.95.. might be an even better choice for a decent beater bar.
The problem I have with Titan is that I can't wait months to resolve a problem. It seems that its a crap shoot ordering stuff from them and you can't rely on having the equipment "ready" when you need it.
Buy ROGUE! Made right here in the USA and that quality of their products is outstanding. Best made, period! There is a reason that Crossfit Games uses Rogue. It's the best made.
Dang, that went up today because I shot this today. They play with pricing quite a bit so I'm not surprised. My suggestion is to buy things when they're first released, they're always cheaper.
Hey Coop. Great videos. Have you ever tried the titan foam plyo box? As has been the case with titan gear, the price is so good and tempting, but there are no reviews on the foam box. Any chance u could give review it?
Just bought a Titan X-2 Rack, flip down safeties and dip attachments. Went with the X-2 primarily because it is made from 9 gauge steel. It will take a beating. Also it's only 24 inches deep which worked for me because it goes in my basement and space is at a premium. The X-2 and attachments are excellent quality and the rack was $350. Also bought and incline bench. Not as happy with it. Back rest is rock hard and a little too wide for me and I don't like the way the feet attach to the legs. But, I will keep buying from Titan, even though Rogues warehouse store is 10 minutes from my house.
Everything is relative if you have the money go with rogue if you don't go with Titan. I could give a shit what my equipment looks as long as it makes me look the way I wanna look im good.
What's the deal with Rogue TB-2 Trap Bar saying 1.91" (Sleeves)? Then it says I'm supposed to buy OSO AXLE COLLARS - RED for $50 because normal sleeves are 1.98 (or 2 inch)? Do I need to buy special diameter plates and clamps?
I've seen a review before comparing a Rogue rack to a Titan rack. The Titan rack was wobbly, had chipped coating with a few spots of surface rust & punched holes that were not quite right. I'd really like to know how they compare now if they really did get a handle on their fabrication and quality of work.
I bought from titan and the platform i bought is cut too small, they arent reimbursing me either because I said if I got the rogue platform it would probably fit
Both get the job done... Fortunately I have enough money where I was able to get the Rogue rack... But if I only had 400$ or whatever I'd have no issue with the knock off... It's better than nothing.
I can understand the sentiment that comes up with a "copy", but if we're all used to a certain style product why would we want another manufacturer to reinvent the wheel?
Thanks for the review. Just recently subscribed and really enjoy the content! I actually was looking at the difference between the Titan and Rogue Yokes which is how I found the video. I was wondering about the height in your opinion. I am 6'2 but I have a really low clearance in my ceiling. Was hoping to make it my squat/bench/pull up rack. Do you think I could get away with building a small platform for each leg to rest on during squats or should I go with the tall one and risk hitting the ceiling and door when I yoke? I am leaning towards the Titan
What's the issue though? If he wants to buy 30 barbells and use only two of them..by all means I don't care and you shouldn't either. It's his money, his home gym, his channel. Unless you sponsor him or something..idk what the point of your comment is.
I’m waiting on an x-2 short rack. It’s 78” which is just short enough for basement ceiling (most codes require 80”) and a platform. I really feel that titan is doing a better job appealing to the “basement dweller”.
Good review...do you own any Ivanko products. Very pricy I scooped up an Ivanko $600 Olympic bar for $200 several years ago (it’s probably 1k or more at today’s prices)..best bar I have ever owned. My other stuff is old York Olympic. It’s too bad their newer stuff is crap. They were once one of the top dogs in powerlifting
York had good plates back in the day. My HS gym was all york plates... Ivanko's ez grab plates are the best... Now rogue has their own and I just bought some. Very nice.
Curious... if you don’t plan to lift over 300 lbs any time soon... any reason to crap $150+ on an Olympic barbell? Or should just whatever I can find for $100 or less do just fine?
The Rouge 2.0 Bar has Composite Bushings, the Ohio Bar has Bronze Bushings. What do you prefer? And what happens when they wear out and the sleeves get sloppy? Can you replace them yourself? Would you recommend Bearings over Bushings on the sleeves?
Hey coop, Great comparison vid. Looks like Titan is really stepping up their game. Really glad to see that and looking forward to seeing what they bring to the table in the future. Kinda unrelated question but not entirely. If you recall, the original Rogue Monster line from used to be 7 ga steel With 1 inch holes and hardware. It has since been phased out completely in favor of 11 ga 3x3 which used to be exclusive to the monster lite line with the only differences between those now being the size of the holes, hardware and Westside spacing or no. Do you know of any company currently still making 7 ga racks/equipment for the home market? A search for current manufacturers only turned up a handful of *commercial* gym equipment companies still using 7ga tubing. Curious as I am one of the individuals left seriously jonesing a ridiculously overbuilt 7 ga tubing rack since those were discontinued. Figured if anyone would have an answer you'd be the man. Thanks
This is a great question, especially considering few people know that Rogue used to sell a 7 gauge steel line. In my opinion, the Monster and Monster Lite Racks should not have such a large difference in price when using the same steel. Titan actually just came out with a 9 gauge steel X-2 rack (2x2 tubing.) Also, USA Strength & Performance which make racks for Westside Barbell have 7 gauge steel rack with the unique Powerslide latch system. They're new and I haven't used them, but you can see them here: usastrengthandprf.com/products/paradigm-power-rack
Rogue probably pays their employees a proper salary. That other junk is probably made by people making pennies on the dollar. Gotta support U.S. manufacturing.
Kinda surprised you didn't weigh the bumpers to compare accuracy. Could be wrong, but I'd wager the Rogue bumpers are built to a higher tolerance; Rogue guarantees them within +/- 15 grams.
So what youre saying is, titan is pretty much on par with rogue on almost all their products for pennies on the dollar? I honestly feel like a third of the price for rogue gear is just face value. Its like buying nike vs adidas. For me, id rather buy titan because i can absolutely deck my gym out with all the gear, whereas at rogue im paying a couple hundred dollars more on every single item for a very similar product. That being said, im still going with the rogue ohio bar
Two barbells combined on that rack cost more than my whole gym setup....craigslist for the win
It doesn't matter who was first; who does it better is what matters.
I totally agree with that.
As hes showing all this stuff from rogue, all I can think is, "dang, thats a lot of money" lol
He's on Rogue's payroll. Why do you think he's doing these "videos"?
And he looks like he barely lifts lol
@@thetacticaltildo1139 ngl he probably lifts more than you do

75% of there stuff is not made in the US
This comment is gold. Exactly what I was thinking. Titan will keep Rogue for consistent price increases.
FYI all these gym equipment from different companies get their product from China and just re-labeled. There's no such thing as Made in US anymore.

Titan Flip Down Safeties
Titan T-3 Dip Attachment
Titan Adjustable Monolift Attachment
Titan Spotter Arms
Titan Adjustable Incline Bench
Titan Red Fat Grips
Titan 25lb Bumper Plates
Titan 50lb Weight Vest

Also, their “economy” bar is now only $77.95.. might be an even better choice for a decent beater bar.
The problem I have with Titan is that I can't wait months to resolve a problem. It seems that its a crap shoot ordering stuff from them and you can't rely on having the equipment "ready" when you need it.
Buy ROGUE! Made right here in the USA and that quality of their products is outstanding. Best made, period! There is a reason that Crossfit Games uses Rogue. It's the best made.
Steve Calhoun I’ll take my extra $300 but you do you
Connor Williamson ☺
TITAN YOKE T-3 is now $279.00
Dang, that went up today because I shot this today. They play with pricing quite a bit so I'm not surprised. My suggestion is to buy things when they're first released, they're always cheaper.
+AlanCal +CoopTrains You get what you pay for. Chinese crap will never pan out in the long run.
DJ my dad’s cheap China squat bench combo has worked great for 30 plus years
non yobussiness ☺
Love your videos I’m finally moving into a house with a garage if you have any equipment you want to get rid of holler at me please
Excellent video!
Thanks Ivan!
Wolverson Fitness is a great place in the UK, awesome well priced equipment!
Thank you for your insight
Hey Coop. Great videos. Have you ever tried the titan foam plyo box? As has been the case with titan gear, the price is so good and tempting, but there are no reviews on the foam box. Any chance u could give review it?
Hey Kalbert, thanks for the kind words! I haven't tried it, but have had a few people request it so maybe I'll pick it up!
Hey great video, very helpful! Can you write the name of the racks or put a link where I can find those exact racks?
How does Rogue compare to PRx? Is there a barbell showdown, you mentioned Texas bar once?
The racks are similar quality. Rogue’s other products, like barbells are likely better to use since they’ve nailed down the design and engineering.
Glad to hear it's working out!
I saw the log in the back...is it a titan? If so does the Titan bumpers fit on it! Also what kind of collars are you using on it? Proloc work alright?
Yes it is and yes mine do. Proloc's work great!
You my friend are a master salesman
“You gotta decide where to spend your money”- buys both yolks
I love my Titan T3 rack, but I want to see Titan's collection of Rogue gear they must buy to check it out. :P
Everything is relative if you have the money go with rogue if you don't go with Titan. I could give a shit what my equipment looks as long as it makes me look the way I wanna look im good.
William Winn ☺
I try to buy American whenever possible. That’s the main reason I went with Rogue over Titan many times. For a barbell, it’s gotta be Texas Power Bar.
I see that spikeball set it the background. Gotta upgrade to the pro set!
Spikeball is my jam! Best warm up in the world! is the pro set worth it???
I can't find any rep fitness vs rogue reviews. Any opinions on that comparison? Racks, barbells, etc.
Would the atlas bar be good for a Crossfit gym just starting out on a budget? Think we would get a couple of years out of them?
Great review!
Thanks Robert!
That said! thanks for the info!
You're welcome!
Subbed thanks for your thorough reviews :)
Off topic what is the clock on the wall in the background? I want one like that for my gym
I've seen a review before comparing a Rogue rack to a Titan rack. The Titan rack was wobbly, had chipped coating with a few spots of surface rust & punched holes that were not quite right. I'd really like to know how they compare now if they really did get a handle on their fabrication and quality of work.
I found a titan fitness barbell on eBay for $55 is it worth buying
hell yeah, you cant even get the crappiest bars for that price
Justin Bailey well it’s a sad day found out the bar the person was selling was only 5 foot and I need this bar for bench and deadlift
MotoStache I have one. They are ok. I prefer a higher quality power bar and I like a center gnurling. But for $55 you can’t go wrong
I bought from titan and the platform i bought is cut too small, they arent reimbursing me either because I said if I got the rogue platform it would probably fit
Coop! Do a review on titans wall balls! Thanks.
Oooh, good idea!
Hell yeah. Love the channel. Where would you look right now for a good value adjustable bench? Is that Titan included one good at all?
Henry M rep fitness fid bench as the best value quality that i found
Thanks Henry! Definitely check out Rep Fitness. It's the one I use.
Hey coop great video like always ! Can you do a review on the rogue slinger plz! Just got monster lite and debating if i should get it ... thx !
Brandon Campbell has a solid review of it
I love rogue, Elitefts and Texas Bars, that said I just bought a Titan yoke and love the product and the price
Yep, the Titan Yoke is pretty great!
Could you comment on how accurate the weights are for each company?
Thanks for the review. Just recently subscribed and really enjoy the content! I actually was looking at the difference between the Titan and Rogue Yokes which is how I found the video. I was wondering about the height in your opinion. I am 6'2 but I have a really low clearance in my ceiling. Was hoping to make it my squat/bench/pull up rack. Do you think I could get away with building a small platform for each leg to rest on during squats or should I go with the tall one and risk hitting the ceiling and door when I yoke? I am leaning towards the Titan
Dam, I thought I had a lot of barbells at home you have me beat by 5 bars as long as I can count my farmers walk handles as 2
"I have this...I have that...I have everything"
Do you ever use any of it? Hardly.
The guy has literally 16 barbells on the wall behind him... Just buys this stuff for fun and reviews...
What's the issue though? If he wants to buy 30 barbells and use only two of them..by all means I don't care and you shouldn't either. It's his money, his home gym, his channel. Unless you sponsor him or something..idk what the point of your comment is.
Mario Navarro people are envious. The comment is what it looks like. He also last I remember was squatting 4 plates, so not terrible.
I’m waiting on an x-2 short rack. It’s 78” which is just short enough for basement ceiling (most codes require 80”) and a platform. I really feel that titan is doing a better job appealing to the “basement dweller”.
I noticed that a lot of titan equipment was sold out. How long does it normally take for them to restock?
Just depends on the equipment. If you shoot them an email they'll give you an eta
Very nice.
I'm looking to get a titan t3 tall yoke to use as a rack, do you know the weight limits that the yoke can handle when using it as a rack?
Curious... if you don’t plan to lift over 300 lbs any time soon... any reason to crap $150+ on an Olympic barbell? Or should just whatever I can find for $100 or less do just fine?
Will titans plates fit rogue bar and vise versa?
The Rouge 2.0 Bar has Composite Bushings, the Ohio Bar has Bronze Bushings. What do you prefer? And what happens when they wear out and the sleeves get sloppy? Can you replace them yourself?
Would you recommend Bearings over Bushings on the sleeves?
Would like to see a review about the rep fitness stuff
I like Rep and have done a review on both of their benches.
CoopTrains Thanks! I'll check those out. Agreed, after phasing out the 7 ga. the price disparity should have been reduced greatly.
Rogue probably pays their employees a proper salary. That other junk is probably made by people making pennies on the dollar. Gotta support U.S. manufacturing.
Where did you buy that North Face fleece? It's so nice :)
Haha I love my colorful fleeces. I believe I got this one at Nordstrom Rack.
Kinda surprised you didn't weigh the bumpers to compare accuracy. Could be wrong, but I'd wager the Rogue bumpers are built to a higher tolerance; Rogue guarantees them within +/- 15 grams.
I actually did, just in a previous video. You can see it here: ruclips.net/video/itJT48qPwSI/видео.html&lc=UgxgVP7Tth1047AuPNF4AaABAg
They got wise on the yoke. They're $380 now
That's a really nice garage gym.
Thank you!
Coop. So what do you think you have paid for everything in your gym. And how do you afford it
I don't know and don't want to know haha. I afford it by working hard.
