There was a factory option for a 405hp 6.2L in 2009 on the LTZ. I didn't realize there was an option in 2008 as well. Unless he swapped it. I replaced the muffler with a 3" Magnaflow and left the resonator. Mine is deep, but mellow. The wife hauls my 2 and 4 year old around in it, so I don't want it to sound too aggressive.
You can tell this is a 5.3 4 speed, look at the guage cluster it says PRND321 which means it's the 4 speed, 6 speed would say PRNDM, and also when he floored it leaving the shop you can tell first gear is really really long so it's a 4 speed
I been doing this muffler swap straight pipe shit since I was 18 and I went from wanting my car always the loudest to jus wanting deep nice tone lol we gotta grow up some day
I have an 09 Suburban 2500 with a Flowmaster Delta 40 muffler (3 center in, 2.5 dual out) for 2 years. It drones really badly on the highway and even worse when towing and I can't take it anymore. I'm looking at the full case style Fx. Will the interior drone be any better with this setup?
2009 ltz 5.3 it has the 3 cats and after that straight piped dumped at rear axle sounda horrible when v4 mode kicks in... wanna quite it down any recommendations

I’m just trying to figure out why anyone would want an exhaust like that on a Tahoe 😄 they’re family vehicles. seems like they’re just meant to be a quiet/smooth ride.
This is not a 6.2. The 6.2 in 08 only came with the 6L80, and you can see from the cluster (PRND321) that it’s a 4L60e. Starting in 09 all 5.3 had the 6L80.

Oh, hell no. Still way too quiet. Owner should have just run open manifolds which is hands down the best setup and provides the perfect amount of back pressure for these Chevy Tahoes.

Sounds perfect for a family hauler; low and deep outside and subtle in the interior. 👍
Definitely big upgrade exhaust difference on that 14 year old Tahoe sounds amazing especially with 6.2 V8.
flow fx sounds so good
that town car throwing down the one tire fire 😁
Sounds so clean ! Deep and smooth 🔥
Love the deepness of the tahoe with flowmaster flow fx 👌
Is this Flow FX exactly the same as the Magnaflow round straight-through? (Ex: part #14419)?

'09 was the only model year and only with 6L80. This was a 5.3 w/ 4spd.
@@hellkitty1014 it sure doesn't sound like a 6.2 to me.

Tahoe sounds awesome.
Sounds really good
Sounds great and deep!
I hope you can do an exhaust on a Volvo S80 with the 4.4L V8
Where did that one legged dog come from?? Nice truck, nice sound.
Single 3in piping always sounds good and deep.
Nice deep tone !
The Lincoln lmao , nice

Wonder what a 5.3 would sound like. I have a 07
Yeah the car in the video is actually a 5.3
