My 2007 5.3 Vortech Supercharged Suburban has no cats, stock muffler & no resonators. We like it.

I have the FX muffler installed in my 2001 GMC YUKON 5.3 it has a deep throaty sound at around 2000 rpm to make most car alarms go off as I drive by and a more subtle sound while driving at higher speeds I love that for long trips no annoying drone sound! Coming out of it.
Did you delete your resonators or did you still have them on
@@deronyjones7297 this kind of truck has no resonators just the cats and muffler, I believe from 2007 and up they do have resonators mine was a 2001.
I have the 3" cat back pipe with 3" flowfx muffler, no resonator and sounds great. Deep throaty sound, like stock on highway while cruising V8 mode only.
Guess I'll be going to get a muffler delete on my 2012 Yukon denali 5.3

Muffler delete never disappoints, in my opinion. I am going to find a video with ram 1500 muffler delete with resonators deleted as well. Might do that for mid 2021.
Only in tennessee do we slap exhaust on the handicapped vehicles

The flow fx's never disappoint. I've been listening to a lot of your vids. Does the oval shaped flow fx have a more airy/open sound? The small round flow fx's seem so much more aggressive with more rumbles and stuff going on with the tone.
They don't sound bad, I'm just use to living in SC where people go long tubes into actual straight pipes. These are quiet in comparison.

Were any GM lifters hurt in this production?? lol, I can def get into the sound of that Flowmaster. I want mine to work about like it does stock. You can't really hear it at all until you want to. Im old and spent way too much time trying to get mine to put you to sleep in interstate its so quiet inside.

If you do a single side exit it needs to be a dual tip at least.
Run silverado SS tailpipe as a side exit in front of the rear tire. Did it on my buddys ss looks killer and its unique

Pops dont want me doin any illegal stuff to my lifted tahoe(live in Southern Maryland). But he doesnt want me to ditch the resanator when I switch mufflers bc of the loss of back pressure when u delete the res. So I'm stuck honestly. I really wanna just delete my muffler but that's illegal in MD.
The resonator is straight through, basically a glasspack, it doesn't make backpressure. Besides, backpressure is bad, you don't want it, it creates turbulence and slows exhaust flow. Power comes from exhaust flow/velocity, so you want to eliminate it. You're not going to mess anything up with a resonator delete.
That said, I'd keep the resonator, sounds more toned and better with it. Instead of a muffler delete, get the next best thing with a short glasspack. The Dynomax Mini Bullet will keep it legal and sound almost like no muffler.
How can I delete a resonator if the resonator itself is connected to the runner hanger. I have a flow fx on my 5.7 hemi but I wanna ditch the res now. How can I do that if it’s connected to the hanger?
Just take it to an exhaust shop
Joshua Jones I think MDX makes a resonator delete for a Chevy that has a hanger with it.
Have a flomaster delta 40 has that V4 drone when it drops cyclinders what muffler will stop that v4 drone from happening

The FX series mufflers are “straight through” instead of chambered like older Flowmasters

@@somd_lftd_hoe8074 false once again, why do you think it's called a resonator? To take out the resonance obviously, they are straight thru and have no back pressure, someone has obviously not paid attention in school.

“3rd converter” 😂😂😂. They never have a 3rd converter. Later models have a resonator there genius. Note to self. Don’t let anyone touch your vehicle that doesn’t know the difference between a resonator and a converter.
