It’s not that the makeup isn’t thick, East Asian makeup can also be quite heavy. It’s just that they go for lighter shades, more “innocent” look so it appears to be less, whereas western makeup usually goes for darker, bolder, more “dramatic” makeup. They use the same amount of makeup, it’s just the way they apply it is different, the result they want is different.
