This is crazy, i didn't know 288 Sherbourne had such a rich history. I will definitely look at it with a newfound respect when i go back and watch old episodes
A lot of Toronto homes in the early era of the city either have rich historic / artistic significance as well as some incredible architecture if you pay attention. Everything by the lake is long gone but basically between the lake and Davenport/st Clair depending on where you are where the old water level was. Sherbourne is a great street to start on in terms of being preserved but you'd get a lot and see a lot more interesting houses and culturally significant homes if you just take Sherbourne all the way up past Bloor and look around Rosedale. Believe it or not it used to be considered "cottage country" and is still one of the most affluent neighborhoods in the city so it's a lot more well preserved and ya know, you can go at anytime of day or night and you won't have to worry about getting stabbed and making a bunch of irrepressible memories 😂 anyway like 1/10 houses have actual plaques noting their historic significance and who owned them and im sure theres something online that lists notable houses in that area. I know the couple years I lived there on my street alone there was some famous Canadian writers house (plaques) and across the street was one of Geddy Lee's houses.(Unplaqued) But there is also so many unique houses and a couple owned by notable architects that really stand out. Anyways it's definitely a neighborhood worth taking a drive or a walk around to see some of the most beautiful and significant houses in the city.
My favorite genre on RUclips: deep dives into hyper-niche subject matter that appear boring to the general public, but are utterly fascinating to those of us who give a damn. Thanks for the incredible video - easy subscribe!
I have watched almost all of your videos after discovering you just a a few days ago. You are amazing and you have amazing analytical skills, you present your knowledge so thoroughly and precise that it is very easy to understand you which I like a lot! This video almost made me emotional, it brought back so much nostalgia. I remember discovering KvS when I was like 14-15 years old still living with my parents. I used to watch the show on those old sketchy websites where you could stream tv shows and movies. I recently rewatched the show which is why you eventually ended up in my recommended feed. Great work!
After watching nearly all of your videos (other than the white noise videos) I really how truly obsessed I am with this show, but not as much as you. We're all grateful for your efforts.
Have Kenny or Spenny seen these videos? They are probably in disbelief, if they have seen them? You are such a wonderful brain and soul thank you for the videos!! Kennyvsspenny lives so dear to my heart due to sneakily watching what I thought was forbidden content, when I was just a wee lad at my grandfathers house, on his 'spin to change channel/ power on off' T.V when they were on showcase! I used to run around the corner and flick it on and just hope id catch it at the right time! Though not every time was I able to make this work, making it all that much more special when it did!!
this video is actually crazy i can't believe how much info you found on the house its far more than i expected and true kvs history piece!! original and creative content, i hope you keep doing these videos they are important for the kvs legacy
Kenny stated in a patreon commentary that Comedy Central brought on someone to live at the Sherborne address to make sure Spenny was actually working. It is possible that he lived in that unrecorded room.
Undeniably amazing KvS content. Thank you for making this deep dive and putting so much into it for prosperity. Only fitting that an artists' house became the KvS house we know and love. All the little design choices added a ton to the series and allowed for some pretty creative camera angles for Sebby to shoot great layered shots in.
I've always been fascinated by the house, had absolutely no idea it had such an fascinating & rich history outside of KvS. The floor plans showcasing the small changes between seasons are awesome too, I never noticed most of them. Outstanding work, please keep doing what you do!
this video really reminded me how important the show is to me and the amount of shit I've gone through during the last 4 years that I would rewatch its episodes over and over again. The shot of the house after you having walked to it put a smile on my face, and helped me recognize that I too see it as a home in a way. I always told myself that if I saw Spenny in person I would shit on him with some embarrassing reference to the show, but after the first minute of this video I kind of just realized how he too made it a home and sacrificed his integrity for my entertainment. Im commenting this barely a minute into the video. You've really made something special here. Ive spent almost every work lunch break I've ever had watching the show, its comforting in a way that goes unmatched. Thank you for rejuvingating my appreciation for KvS.
Incredible video. So many details and such an interesting history you found out about that house. Well done man. What really caught my eye is how beautifully Kosso and Rita decorated the whole house. It looked and felt so stunning, full of live, light and calmness. I think you can really see that in the pictures around 22:27 and after. Whereas Kenny and Spenny had a much simpler bachelor-type style going on. Insane contrast there.
This is my fav KvS fan video yet. the history of the artist couple was fascinating and really added a lot of heart to the main house. Really enjoyed the more PG PBS esque narration and style too.
I really appreciate your passion for the show and how much research you do, great editing as well. Subscribed and looking forward to watching more videos from you!
I watched it. DUDE, I can't believe the second house had such a crazy history. I wonder how that lady felt if she saw these two lunatics doing that to her home like that. I know how I felt when I saw my grandparents' old house after it was ruined by the new residents. I knew the house was strange, but I thought it was just a unique design, but I guess it really was memorable. It's pretty much immortalized now. For the right or wrong reasons though?
Dude, I love you! All your vids are insanely over-detailed!!!!! Kenny’s face during the “greatest moment in Canadian tv history” is my favorite thing in the entire series!
Breathtaking video, the work you did for this insane. Reaching as far as the grandchildren of historical artists that built what became the devil's playground we all know and love.
Awesome work, had no idea of the rich history behind the house. It did for sure feel like a home away from home. I checked the crime statistics for Toronto, and it looked like 2005, when they were in their prime in the house, was actually one of the highest years for crime in that area. Wild that it never made any sort spillover into the show.
There is something wrong with me for watching this entire thing from start to finish and being completely interested the whole time. Having said that, this is a very impressive and thorough video great work!
I was in Toronto 2 days ago. My friend pointed out this house as we were driving by. Now this video shows up in my recommended videos?! Big brother is watching...
Absolutely incredible stuff here, this would have taken a long time to put together, all your efforts and research is much appreciated. Really fascinating to know the history of the houses and all those incredible details you’ve included. Absolutely marvellous stuff, we really appreciate your efforts here 🫡
Great analysis. I just came back from a viewing showing of the property it is now for sale. Alot has changed been upgraded but it still is the best kvs house and toronto heritage site.
You are very welcome to reach out to the sales rep nice guy and get to tour the place. There is a 360 tour on their website. The 3rd floor looks completely different now layout wise. Have a good day.
@kvsanalysis8069 I’m from Montreal so I grow up watching The French Canadian version, it was more for 12-16 ! It’s cringe to see this today but it was not that bad! I didn’t know KVS before and was in the age. The spenny guy was a calm version of spenny. Really zen lol I think I was a perfect version of spenny even today but spenny have some violence in him that make it funnier lol the Kenny guy was cringe but if you think that’s it for the 12-16… it work… but still cringe ! Overall it’s just a version for young that have is limit on the side of challenge. Sometime it was the same, sometime it was new. The humiliation was sometime trash thought lol idk if it was real like KVS ( I like to think it’s all real lol ) but it was between what acceptable for a young ppl tv show lol
Just came across this vid. I live by Sherbourne. I remember the filming in 288, they couldn't have picked a more suited place because all the other 'activity' in the area. This made their antics seem reasonable and probably improved the block during these times. Side note an ex and I once look at one of the Earl St places, They were nice for say a small family with a cool raised basement but they were condos at the time and carried maintenance fees. Condos= nosey Nancys. I vaguely remember them being built when I lived on Glouchester, like brick over wood with probably no brick partition and the back part has other condos. Not really for a show.
I love this channel cause you know he is doing these videos as a passion project cause this is just so niche. It’s like a little cult subreddit but in video form. Love it! Wish there was a massive paying fan base so he could get paid well but alas…
Quite possibly the most impressive KvS analysis video on the entirety of RUclips.
It’s such a beautiful historical deep dive on a show about two guys eating shit and boogers
This is crazy, i didn't know 288 Sherbourne had such a rich history. I will definitely look at it with a newfound respect when i go back and watch old episodes

Kosso and Rita's story was so interesting. Great research and synthesis man.

Turns out I’m not the only person who pauses episodes to look at gaps in the floor boards. Very impressive!! Thanks for doing this
You are not alone, I also have Autism!
@@ringoyam1I hate my autism :(
Thank you for your passionate work. The amount of time that goes into such a video must be huge. A true KvS Fan!
It's definitely a labour of love!
your level of research is INSANE. if i ever go missing, i want you on the case
Incredible. I had heard about the doc about these two artists but hadn’t seen it yet. Thank you!

Kenny stated in a patreon commentary that Comedy Central brought on someone to live at the Sherborne address to make sure Spenny was actually working. It is possible that he lived in that unrecorded room.
That’s an excellent hypothesis!

Thanks Jack.
This is genuinely one of the most impressively researched videos I have seen on RUclips on any topic.
28:10 the deadpan delivery killed me 😂
Excellent video man, I came for the KvS, I stayed for the interesting history lesson. I’ll share this around
I've always loved your videos, but with these longer essays your narration and editing skills truly begin to shine - wow! 😁♥️
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the vid!

Glad to see you uploading videos again. Keep up the good work.
This was incredible. Thank you for making this video. A must watch for any KvS fan.

@@Burns_RED you're right.. idk how I never noticed that.

Amazing work. Editing, research, delivery is all perfect!
There is something wrong with me for watching this entire thing from start to finish and being completely interested the whole time. Having said that, this is a very impressive and thorough video great work!
I love your analysis videos. The serious tone and feel, are such polar opposites to the show that it creates a new beast of its own.
I won’t be happy until this video has as many views as a typical Kenny vs. Spenny episode. Awesome contant, keep up the great work!.

The kvs house should turn into a museum
Such an in-depth video, thanks man!
I never noticed the unused room next to Spenny's gym! I imagine it looking like Spenny's bedroom in season 1 :-)
Good analysis you are quite the investigator!

the way the artists designed that was fucking amazing to have that right in the city of toronto is a gem
im so happy i stumbled across this
Just amazing thank you❤.......
Is there any footage of Kenny Hotz's appearance on The Price is Right?
Kenny has indicated somewhere that he has the VHS with him and Spenny in the audience.
I goddamn love this channel so much!
Is it possible to get a doctorate in KvS because I think this is pretty close to a dissertation
Any chance you can do a video on the (failed) copycats of this show?
Yes! I'll be presenting a 4-5 part series on the spinoffs at some point. I have about a terabyte of shows from other countries.
Yes, that would be a great video!
