In the mini comp competition, they had who can spit a grape the furthest. Spenny spit his in tye morning, kenny was just waking up and muttered he would do it later. At the end when they both got to the top of the CN tower, kenny then spit his grape and the distance was counted as the height of the tower. Making him the winner of that one

Just for confirmation, there were many outtakes and clips that seemed to be exclusively available on the Showcase website years ago. The cauliflower clip and Spenny's diarrhea dilemma were two of those clips. I used screen capture software to record them and post them to RUclips which is why the quality is so awful but at the time I didn't know of any other method for doing this and I certainly wasn't thinking that the original clips would eventually become lost media.

I remember in one of the commentaries when kenny points out a song is by strauss spenny says hes pretentious and kenny replies that he selects all the music for the show and spenny picks none of it. Someones probably asked him already, but if not that's atleast worth a shot.
Most of this felt very strange, but I suppose it shouldn't be surprising considering the period(mobile games and things). Glad to see you're continuing with the series and I hope you take the positive reinforcement you get from people here to heart. I have probably watched/listened to the first three installments more than ten times since I found them just because I enjoy hearing you analyze the show and them. Keep it up!
Fantastic content man, this is the best KVS fan channel out there. I am MetalGearSora from Reddit (and I definitely do identify with that image hahaha). My apologies if some of the details are amiss, but if memory serves the clip I'm referring to involved Spenny playing I believe an Electric Blue original phat model DS and I'm pretty sure it was Brain Age he was playing (which would be a very Spenny game) and he actually enjoyed it which I think is why it was posted as a clip in the first place. I also know the individual who uploaded the cauliflower scene and that was also preserved from Showcase's website. There's also a unique screen shot in the season 6 outtakes reel found on the DVD of Kenny sitting in a sandbox wearing a bathing suit and hat in the backyard under an umbrella with Spenny looking at him in confusion. Based on Spenny's outfit it looks like it comes from the "Who can put on the best play? " episode but no footage exists of this in the episode or deleted scenes.

I included that image/joke because KH & MGS are my two favorite game series as well (KH1 and MGS3, alongside Morrowind, being my favorite games of all time), so I had no choice but to mention it. I also like EVA too :) Thanks for the additional detail on the DS segment, right down to the model and color of the handheld. I don't own any DVDs, which is going to have to change. I'm not sure I've ever actually dug into the promo stills on the DVDs, if I even have them digitally.

I remember seeing the alternate version of the mini-comps episode on CBC. It was quite a while ago but I remember Spenny winning at pinball and really rubbing it in Kenny's face that he beat him at an arcade game. I also seem to remember Kenny explaining why he wasn't wearing a tracksuit with his initial on it like Spenny was, claiming it "restricted his movement".

He lost the cn tower stair race, but then spat the grape off the tower cancling it out. Sadly i dont remember who won the whole thing or what the humiliation was. *edit something came to me. Though this may be wrong, possibly spenny won and the humiliation for kenny was going up the stairs. This part is very unsure to me. The tower and grape part i am 100% about though.
I’m from Washington state and have watched all the KvsS episodes. All gold. The tied to a goat and the white suit spot are in my opinion the best. With the torture a close 3rd.

Funnily enough I have a memory of them on a cribs like show giving a tour of the second house, including the back office / carriage house. ~10 years ago I scoured the internet looking for it but never turned anything up. No idea if it’s my mind making something up, or if it’s the lost cribs tour. Love the vids! Any new KvS content is so refreshing after watching the series over and over again.
Wow! I appreciate the detail on what you remember. I was talking with someone here a few days ago, and he was telling me that there may actually be a "Cribs", "MTV Cribs", and a Canadian version that's like, "MTV.ca Cribs". Does that ring true for you at all? Are you in Canada? We might be on totally the wrong trail if technically it's not even in the same TV series as the 2008 appearance.
The 2nd MTV Cribs appearance was just archive footage. They sometimes repackage old cribs episodes into new ones. If you look at the MTV Archive RUclips channel, they have like “Cribs NBA addition” where they take old cribs episodes with NBA players and put them into a new one. I think the 2nd Kenny Vs Spenny cribs appearance was like a Canada special or something.
Good point, we've talked about that. I feel like it's a little weird to re-air K & S of all things, two years later. But considering we have no footage or evidence of a separate appearance, it makes sense.
Spamerica Spamerica The weird thing is you can’t even buy episodes of cribs, they’re all in the MTV Archive. There’s also no real list of all the episodes. It was most definitely a repackage though. Why KVS? It could have been funniest cribs moments, most unusual pads or something for MTV Canada. At a certain point they stopped production of cribs and just aired episodes with themes like that. They had a ton too “top 20 biggest houses”, “houses with recording studios”, MTV really milked old footage. They’ll re air as much as they can. It tricks people into thinking it’s new content when it’s not. I totally used to watch it a lot when I was little. Whatever repackage episode it was, you won’t find it. I was trying to find the cribs episode with Simon Rex; nowhere to be found. Again, you can’t even buy it if you wanted. Especially if it’s a repackage because the content of those aren’t much different from the original. MTV really berries shit once they’re done with it.

I think given this + the fact that we've never even seen a frame or any alternatives, it was just an alternate cut, not a new appearance. But we're still ironing it out.
Oh my god I just rewatched mini comps on Kenny's channel and I thought I was going crazy because I specifically remember watching the grape spitting competition on tv way back in the day when I was a kid. After Spenny climbs the CN tower Kenny spits a grape off the deck which is hundreds of feet.
I'm a bit late to this, but this is what I remember if you are still interested. I saw the "who can win most mini-comps" episode when it first aired back in 2004 on CBC. With the grape spitting, Spenny did it outside of the house and measured it. However, Kenny decided to wait to do his spit latter. Fast forward to the CN Tower. Spenny wins this one because Kenny did not even try. However, once they were both at the top, they took a moment to go to the outside observation deck. Kenny says that he will do his grape spit, and then spits the grape off the tower and says that it travelled 1800 ft. This was framed in the show as Kenny intentionally losing the CN Tower climb because he would tire Spenny out AND because he would negate Spenny's win by guaranteeing a win for grape spitting. However, this did not change the outcome of the competition. As in the existing version, the 2004 version had Spenny clinching the competition by winning the sprint at the end. As far as I can remember, Spenny won the pinball challenge. Also, I don't know if all the mini-comps shown in the current episode were present in the original 2004 episode. With the inclusion of the grape spit and the pinball, I have a feeling that they excluded two others, so that the final score of both episodes was still 8-7 for Spenny. I somewhat remember seeing this episode on RUclips some many years afterwards, and my initial reaction was, "hmm, I don't remember that." However, I am no way positive about that, that was just the reaction I had when watching it.

I remember the grape spitting scene. By FAR the most memorable part of the show for me - was so confused when i was rewatching years later and it disappeared.
And yes, he spat the grape off the observation deck at the CN tower later... i wonder if it seemed too fake so they removed it? Not sure honestly. In the episode kenny didn't walk up the CN tower stairs, and if I remember correctly, Kenny explains how the grape evened out him not doing that challenge.
2:33 I remember that part. I use to watch these when they came out new on TV. Kenny bails from his spot and Spenny stays. The lizard goes and gets the meat while wanting to swat him with his tail, and honestly I'm pretty sure the lizard did whip him because Spenny was yelling and freaked the lizard out. Yes the markings on the board are measurements to how close the lizard gets and Kenny bails about when the lizard gets to the sec line.
2:57 I actually remember watching this lizard segment. I think it was on tv when I was a kid but from what I remember. Kenny was just making some light joke on how spenny tastes better. But I know the lizard just went straight for spenny and that caused him to quit and lose the lizard segment.

I watched KvS as a teen for the brief time that it was aired on Comedy Central in the United States. The KvS Facebook group also seems to be overwhelmingly Canadian. I wonder why this show didn't catch on in the states in a more significant way.

For years this felt like a Mandela effect but I saw the mini comps episode new on TV with my friend Ben and I remember Kenny spitting the grape off the CN Tower. I even went so far to tell my other friend when we watched the episode on Kenny's RUclips maybe 2 years ago that I thought Kenny didn't spit the seed after Spenny, he puts it in his pocket and says "I'm going to spit it... Later." Then spat the seed from the CN Tower platform and Spenny argues that its unfair but ultimately agrees Kenny won. When I didn't see that in the episode, I said I felt like I was going crazy and I called Ben who also watched it with me and he agreed he thought Kenny cheated at the tower. I had no proof though and we basically admitted we may have mis-remembered a conversation about how Kenny COULD have done that... I'm really glad this video validates my memory!! BTW - I'm loving your videos. The Versusville one is incredible. You're very detail-oriented and extremely organized. Excellent stuff, truly. (I am in Vancouver, Canada for the record and KVS started when I was 15 and I was one of the only people I knew that watched it aside from my friend Ben *who I called about the grape spitting 10+ years later)

@Justin Trudeau That's a really good logistical point. The cafe that he's in at the end is totally enclosed, right? So how does he spit it off the CN Tower? I got an e-mail from someone saying that Kenny spat it off the balcony of the house, not the tower. I think that's more plausible given your point. If true, it means our meatbrains are conflating the CN Tower sequence with the house and not knowing it.
@@Spamerica just below the restaurant level of the CN tower is the "observation deck". This is enclosed by a fence like guard. If you look this up you will see it is totally plausible kenny spit the grape out at this level through the holes in the fence.

I swear, I vaguely remember Spenny and Kenny getting into some heated argument and started tossing silverware at each other. Yet, after years and years of watching through their shows again, on the internet, I could never find this clip that I have in my memory.
It took me a bit to remember myself, my brain is a bit overloaded right now, but are you talking about the segment in Who is saner? A kind of forgettable episode in the longest season, so you may not have picked up on it. Kenny does throw a knife at Spenny to rattle him. It's not a heated argument though, Spenny kinda keeps his cool.
@@Spamerica You're right, that probably is the scene I'm thinking about. Memory can be fickle. The scene is exactly how I remember, a restaurant with brick walls. But, for some reason, the memory I have from ~15 years ago or more, has Spenny engaging with Kenny, throwing silverware back, and thus starts a "silverware fight", with them ducking beneath the tables to avoid the projectiles of the other. The scene plays out a lot quicker than I remember, so maybe that's why I never realized that was the clip, even after years of watching through the show every year or so, lmao. Thanks!

I remember seeing the alternate version of the mini-comps episode on CBC. It was quite a while ago but I remember Spenny winning at pinball and really rubbing it in Kenny's face that he beat him at an arcade game. I also seem to remember Kenny explaining why he wasn't wearing a tracksuit with his initial on it like Spenny was, claiming it "restricted his movement".

@@Spamerica now I'm thinking Kenny just tied it up at that point of the minicomps, nullifying Spenny's lead and hard work of climbing the CN Tower stairs.
That makes more sense because I don't remember any other humiliation...it was always Kenny having to walk the stairs.

@@harrisbadalandabad6257 he won the grape spitting part. He took the elevator to the top of the tower (one comp was a race up the stairs) spenny did it while kenny drank at the top. He lost the cn tower stair race, but then spat the grape off the tower cancling it out. Sadly i dont remember who won the whole thing or what the humiliation was.
*edit something came to me. Though this may be wrong, possibly spenny won and the humiliation for kenny was going up the stairs. This part is very unsure to me. The tower and grape part i am 100% about though.

I’m from Washington state and have watched all the KvsS episodes. All gold. The tied to a goat and the white suit spot are in my opinion the best. With the torture a close 3rd.
I saw the episode with the grape spitting on TV but just once, after that I only saw the regular version. The way it went down was they were supposed to see who could spit it down the street the furthest but Kenny kept saying he'd do it later then he did it on the tower making Spenny's climb irrelevant. Lmao.

Funnily enough I have a memory of them on a cribs like show giving a tour of the second house, including the back office / carriage house. ~10 years ago I scoured the internet looking for it but never turned anything up. No idea if it’s my mind making something up, or if it’s the lost cribs tour.

Wow! I appreciate the detail on what you remember. I was talking with someone here a few days ago, and he was telling me that there may actually be a "Cribs", "MTV Cribs", and a Canadian version that's like, "MTV.ca Cribs". Does that ring true for you at all? Are you in Canada?
We might be on totally the wrong trail if technically it's not even in the same TV series as the 2008 appearance.

The 2nd MTV Cribs appearance was just archive footage. They sometimes repackage old cribs episodes into new ones. If you look at the MTV Archive RUclips channel, they have like “Cribs NBA addition” where they take old cribs episodes with NBA players and put them into a new one.
I think the 2nd Kenny Vs Spenny cribs appearance was like a Canada special or something.
Good point, we've talked about that. I feel like it's a little weird to re-air K & S of all things, two years later. But considering we have no footage or evidence of a separate appearance, it makes sense.
Spamerica Spamerica The weird thing is you can’t even buy episodes of cribs, they’re all in the MTV Archive. There’s also no real list of all the episodes. It was most definitely a repackage though. Why KVS? It could have been funniest cribs moments, most unusual pads or something for MTV Canada.
At a certain point they stopped production of cribs and just aired episodes with themes like that. They had a ton too “top 20 biggest houses”, “houses with recording studios”, MTV really milked old footage. They’ll re air as much as they can. It tricks people into thinking it’s new content when it’s not. I totally used to watch it a lot when I was little.
Whatever repackage episode it was, you won’t find it. I was trying to find the cribs episode with Simon Rex; nowhere to be found. Again, you can’t even buy it if you wanted. Especially if it’s a repackage because the content of those aren’t much different from the original. MTV really berries shit once they’re done with it.
Spamerica Not to comment too much, but there’s a cribs episode available on iTunes called “wildest antics”. I would not be surprised if Kenny’s prank on Spenny ended up on it. I might download it to see
@@harrisbadalandabad6257 Yes, I identify with a lot of what you've said here because they do repackage, recycle, and rebrand and then it becomes near impossible to find specific things. I think given this + the fact that we've never even seen a frame or any alternatives, it was just an alternate cut, not a new appearance. But we're still ironing it out.

Oh my god I just rewatched mini comps on Kenny's channel and I thought I was going crazy because I specifically remember watching the grape spitting competition on tv way back in the day when I was a kid.
After Spenny climbs the CN tower Kenny spits a grape off the deck which is hundreds of feet.

9:59 Kenny still has that poster in his home. You can see a clear shot of it in the commentary he did right after the library kicked them out.
I'm a bit late to this, but this is what I remember if you are still interested.
I saw the "who can win most mini-comps" episode when it first aired back in 2004 on CBC. With the grape spitting, Spenny did it outside of the house and measured it. However, Kenny decided to wait to do his spit latter. Fast forward to the CN Tower. Spenny wins this one because Kenny did not even try. However, once they were both at the top, they took a moment to go to the outside observation deck. Kenny says that he will do his grape spit, and then spits the grape off the tower and says that it travelled 1800 ft. This was framed in the show as Kenny intentionally losing the CN Tower climb because he would tire Spenny out AND because he would negate Spenny's win by guaranteeing a win for grape spitting. However, this did not change the outcome of the competition. As in the existing version, the 2004 version had Spenny clinching the competition by winning the sprint at the end.
As far as I can remember, Spenny won the pinball challenge. Also, I don't know if all the mini-comps shown in the current episode were present in the original 2004 episode. With the inclusion of the grape spit and the pinball, I have a feeling that they excluded two others, so that the final score of both episodes was still 8-7 for Spenny. I somewhat remember seeing this episode on RUclips some many years afterwards, and my initial reaction was, "hmm, I don't remember that." However, I am no way positive about that, that was just the reaction I had when watching it.
Wow! I think this is the most detailed recollection yet. OK, so it didn't change the ultimate outcome, then. That's interesting if true. I would really love to see that version...
I remember the grape spitting scene. By FAR the most memorable part of the show for me - was so confused when i was rewatching years later and it disappeared.
And yes, he spat the grape off the observation deck at the CN tower later... i wonder if it seemed too fake so they removed it? Not sure honestly. In the episode kenny didn't walk up the CN tower stairs, and if I remember correctly, Kenny explains how the grape evened out him not doing that challenge.

Kenny bails from his spot and Spenny stays. The lizard goes and gets the meat while wanting to swat him with his tail, and honestly I'm pretty sure the lizard did whip him because Spenny was yelling and freaked the lizard out. Yes the markings on the board are measurements to how close the lizard gets and Kenny bails about when the lizard gets to the sec line.
I watched it when it aired on tv in Canada like 15 years ago and I specifically remember Kenny winning!
2:57 I actually remember watching this lizard segment. I think it was on tv when I was a kid but from what I remember. Kenny was just making some light joke on how spenny tastes better. But I know the lizard just went straight for spenny and that caused him to quit and lose the lizard segment.

Many years ago I was browsing tv and saw a Kenny cameo in one of those storage sale shows. He was the binoculars 'expert'. Meaning Kenny got officialy aired on Dutch tv at some point.
I've heard he was in Storage Wars or something! I've always wanted to find it.

It was surreal because it was all this cheap acting and Kenny didn't go along with it and just made perv jokes or something when she clearly was upset already. It was really entertaining. I watched KvS as a teen for the brief time that it was aired on Comedy Central in the United States. The KvS Facebook group also seems to be overwhelmingly Canadian. I wonder why this show didn't catch on in the states in a more significant way.
All I can say is that I watched all their Comedy Central episodes as they were happening. I still can't believe that shit.
I saw the original version of the mini comps episode. If I remember correctly, Kenny rides the elevator to the top of CN tower. Spenny gets there way later and knows Kenny cheated, so he thinks he won the show, but then Kenny does the grape spit and wins.
Also, Kenny eats at the rotating restaurant at the top of the CN tower while he's waiting for Spenny to climb the stairs.

I'm 100% certain about the CN tower restaurant, cause it was the first episode I saw, and I remember thinking how genius it was for Kenny to take the elevator and have a nice meal while Spenny struggled up the stairs of entire fucking CN tower.

For years this felt like a Mandela effect but I saw the mini comps episode new on TV with my friend Ben and I remember Kenny spitting the grape off the CN Tower. I even went so far to tell my other friend when we watched the episode on Kenny's RUclips maybe 2 years ago that I thought Kenny didn't spit the seed after Spenny, he puts it in his pocket and says "I'm going to spit it... Later." Then spat the seed from the CN Tower platform and Spenny argues that its unfair but ultimately agrees Kenny won. When I didn't see that in the episode, I said I felt like I was going crazy and I called Ben who also watched it with me and he agreed he thought Kenny cheated at the tower. I had no proof though and we basically admitted we may have mis-remembered a conversation about how Kenny COULD have done that...

@@Spamerica I think Spenny wins even in the original episode - Kenny making Spenny pay for the bowling and then adding the stair climb after was (I believe) his little victory on the episode, from what I recall. Again though, this is going on however many years it's been.

I got an e-mail from someone saying that Kenny spat it off the balcony of the house, not the tower. I think that's more plausible given your point. If true, it means our meatbrains are conflating the CN Tower sequence with the house and not knowing it.
@@Spamerica just below the restaurant level of the CN tower is the "observation deck". This is enclosed by a fence like guard. If you look this up you will see it is totally plausible kenny spit the grape out at this level through the holes in the fence.

Yet, after years and years of watching through their shows again, on the internet, I could never find this clip that I have in my memory.
It took me a bit to remember myself, my brain is a bit overloaded right now, but are you talking about the segment in Who is saner? A kind of forgettable episode in the longest season, so you may not have picked up on it. Kenny does throw a knife at Spenny to rattle him.
It's not a heated argument though, Spenny kinda keeps his cool.
@@Spamerica You're right, that probably is the scene I'm thinking about. Memory can be fickle. The scene is exactly how I remember, a restaurant with brick walls.
But, for some reason, the memory I have from ~15 years ago or more, has Spenny engaging with Kenny, throwing silverware back, and thus starts a "silverware fight", with them ducking beneath the tables to avoid the projectiles of the other.
The scene plays out a lot quicker than I remember, so maybe that's why I never realized that was the clip, even after years of watching through the show every year or so, lmao. Thanks!
