I'm guessing Striped only checked this one account foxxy is playing on, he probably has another account he had spent time on... Or maybe he is just good enough to be a plat, either is plausible 😂
There’s a lot of factors you have to consider. 1) Some of these guys might be their rank so fast because they got carried there 2) They could’ve gotten coached as opposed to the others who have pure play hours 3) A lot of players just play for fun with absolutely no agenda and reached their (low) rank with so many hours just because. All gamemodes are kinda in sync from the ranking. Except 1v1.. im like d2-d3 on all gamemodes i have ranked in. But im in plat 2 i think in 1v1. And 90% of the ppl km facing are also like d3 or sth in 3s and 2s.. the ranking is just different there somehow.

First game really shows how much you can be affected by your first impression. The 50 hours guy had demonstrably better mechanics and showed it repeatedly throughout the game, but it was ignored because striped had already made his conclusion that someone with 50 hours must've gotten there from game sense while someone with 1500 mist be stuck there because they only have mechanics
@@ad4lat Um unlike your friends i'm diamond which is mid rank .Basing your opinion on a few people makes no sense because unlike your friends I know what it is and your friends most likely just flay in the air to get a few touches. Always impossible to measure like this, it's all individual. Some players with less hours are smarter/talented compared to others. And it's not always about the time you play, but with what you do with the time you play. So great video, but i hope people take this and other videos like giving players the rank they think they deserve etc with a grain of salt, it's all individually dependent
I'd say that's a yes at my level. I'm bronze 3 in ones and gold 3 in twos. I think having a teammate can really help or hinder you. In ones you have to use all your skills and game sense to win when in twos, you can be carried or get sabotaged.
@@TorvaElitE my point being that working with a teammate is a skill in itself. I'm champ1 in 2s but plat3 in 1s. My mechanics suck but with a decent teammate we can make up for each others weaknesses
I can confidently say this as a champ in 2's with only around 150 hours or so everyone improves at different rates but it most likely ALWAYS depends on if you want to push yourself outside of that rank. Sincerely, the plat guy has definitely more than 50 hours, probably a has a second account with many more hours at about the same rank. I'm currently between D3 and C1 and learned how to wavedash, speedflip, basic air dribble, etc at around 100 hours or less. Sure, but the game sense starts to improve only at around 200 hours or more (currently at 268 hours) . It is definitely possible that he can do all that rather simple mechanical stuff but to have a game sense like that in 50 hours? No shot, not a chance. in 50 hours of gameplay you still ram that ball like a bull when you see it in front of you. We've all been there, let's not hide it. Good thing that he doesn't start shooting the ball with the corner of the car and speedflipping on that field within those 50 hours. :)
I've watched Rocket League, and owned the game, since 2015 but never played until a month ago. First time playing I ranked Gold and then promoted to Plat within a week

I was concerned that I’m not GC1 yet but if it took 4000 to get it, I’m now hopeful to get it in 3000-4500. I solo-queued GC tournaments and won 3. My ultimate goal is to get SSL (hopefully a pro) in under 10,000 hours. My main practice is playing ranked and freeplay while queuing. The best practice is to play the game as much as possible
well I have 2.2k hours and I'm D1 in ranked and I'm MUCH worse than the Diamonds in this video ... that's frightening To briefly outline how for anyone wondering ... HOW ... that's how: - started playing RL a few years ago with 2 friends (they had already a few hundred hours in when I started) - eventually we got to Diamond - they continually lost interest in the game - now we play a total of maybe 30 matches per season ... like 3-5 matches per month not enough to gain/drop ranks really we go down a few divisions but also up if we have a good day ... but always between Plat 3 and D1 - I'd say at least 1500 of my hours were spent in Casual mode where I have a waaaay too high MMR and where I'm always matched with GC+ and get called toxic for being bad ... but I'm just genuinely bad - I really like the game but my friends don't and don't wanna improve or train or anything ... they only play those few matches for me because that's what friends to ... without me I guess they'd never play Now I don't wanna play 3s ranked because that's what me and my friends play and I don't wanna outrank that (neither up nor down) 2s is hard because the game thinks oh you're good in 3s here have a Diamond Partner and go for it ... but as I said ... I'm really bad ... I would put my personal skill above Gold 1s would work but it's not fun ...
It makes perfect sense that people with less hours would possibly beat the players at same level with more hours.. better at gaming, naturals at this game.. naturally smart at the games.. whatever the case. It makes sense

I hit plat 1 at 30 hours and now at 60 i am plat 2-3 And to be honest, I don't know why haha, to me its just the experiences i make that make me improve, like reading fakes, trying to aerial, MISSING, improving aerials, actually hitting them, playing some workshop maps like the aim training one and so on I mean if you dont try to hit aerials or good shots then you cant get better at them right? Also I have some gc and ssl friends that in my first 10 hours introduced me to some very helpful mechanics like halfflip, boostcontrol etc which made me understand the game much faster Watching rlcs helps a lot too i think I think my gamesense is rly okayish, also speedflips in my elo dont mean that much of an advantage right now, since u can e.g. at kickoff kinda see where the enemy drive and just need to react properly to it Trainingspacks help a lot too at understanding physics, especially the crazy goalie ones where it just feels satisfying to save a hard shot
Honestly, i think some of these people lied about their ranks and hours. I have 200 hours and i am diamond 1 but the champ players looked lower than my rank, they were not playing like actual champs do and showed that they are clearly not as good as they say. Good vid tho striped!

I spent over 100 hours playing against bots before I even touched online play. I have young when the game released, seeing my first Arial in ranked blew my mind 😂
You know ow the difference between the high hours and low hours being same rank. The lower hours have spent their whole time grinding nothing but live player matches. While the high hours are using the training mode and bots to practice mechanics. You can only get better by playing real players and you are only going to be able to practice so much in training with out a live opponent to to get good because once you add the live player opponent then all that you practice goes out the window unless you get the perfect setup.
Why would Striped assume that someone with more hours would be more mechanical? My observation from playing this game for 5 years is that it is the opposite. People with high hours for their rank don't put in very much practice learning mechanics. After that many hours they gain ball sense, and a sense of positioning. I would expect the lower hours player to have put a lot of time into mechanics so they can rank up quickly. A player with fewer hours will have less bad habits they need to break. It is hard for a diamond with 4000 hours to retrain their brain to fast aerial. That being said, the plat looks like a Smurf. It would be better if Striped actually verified these accounts in rl.tracker.
I’m a plat 3 with less than 30 hour of playtime (Reason why it’s less than 30 hour of playtime is because, I learn mechanics very fast depending on how I read it, and how the stuff works. I usually watch Rl youtubers on how they use the mechanics, and how they control the car.) Edit: I’m a pc player so it makes it a lot easier than using control (cause I’m more of a pc player than a control player)
a thing that I noticed in every game, is that the guys who tried to dribble normally all had on their ball cam. I learned from a video, to not have the ball cam turned on when dribbling
i am plat 3 right now after around 100 hours, over several years, playing this game on and off for fun with friends. was plat 1 the first time after about 50. i feel like i play like shit, but just being able to hit the ball and shooting in the general direction of the goal, while being able to block shots, seems to be enough to get to plat. i can fly a bit, i can do basic dribbling movements. i can shoot the ball and fly after it, to hit it again. but if there is anything done ON THE WALL i whiff. everything. i simply can't figure out how far i am away from the ball and just drive past it, or under it and whatnot. i am trying to hit it again and again on the walls, using ballcam and turning it off, but it all feels so incredibly weird and hard to do. i feel like i can't see what i want to see. seeing how long the average needs to be plat, was definitely surprising to me, i thought i was bad at the game. i tried learning fast kickoffs and i just can't do it. its way too many buttons and small movements. i am unable to tilt the stick like 30° or some shit. i either hit it full up, to the side or 45°, but no inbetweens and i honestly don't want to bother learning these things, but when i saw the 500-800 hours, i was thinking that i'd probably get the feeling for it all on my own in time lol.
I got to D1 my first season on this game. Got demoted to plat 1. Now I'm a little over 400 hours and I'm back to D1 but, I still feel out of place. While my game sense was good. I would freeze up when I saw a new mechanic. My goal is to hit Champ 1 before I get to 1000 hours.
The diamond game just shows how some people are just stuck carrying their teammates 😂 honestly diamond 3 has been awful for teammates I have to be on point to win games

i feel like the majority of these ppl didn’t start playing ranked until 200-300 hours played. whereas someone like me who only played ranked hit C2 in 500 hours. so it’s all relative
Very clear to me that nobody in this video knows how to properly calculate hours. If you started playing after season 3: Time in game (in hours) * 2.1 If you started playing prior to season 3: number of matches played * 0.175. No chance some of these kids were the hours they said. NO CHANCE.

I'm diamond 3 on 3's and 2's. Never spent time on 1's but I'd honestly say I'm like gold at best 😂

Is 1s the best way to test this though? I'd argue 2s is a better all-round test, I'd be interested to see how that would affect the results
The fact that defenestration actually means, “The action of throwing something out of the window”.
This videos old but definitely nice to see. I know it’s not a big deal but I stress about hours a lot. I got c1 in under 300 and it feels good but I worry about continuing to rank up fast more than I should
above dimiond you can do almost all shots, so its the point where consistance matters more than skill
someone like low hours dimiond can prolly do all the shots as the lot hours dimiond but just isnt confident
The Less hours GC has lesser hours than the More hours Plat
Go back to school, that sentence didnt make much sense
I wish Striped could’ve gotten the 10k hours in gold guy to play
I have 2000 combined hours (from PS4 to PS5 then PC). C2 in 3s, C3 in 2s, not ranked in 1s., C3 Rumble.
The best practice is to play the game as much as possible
well I have 2.2k hours and I'm D1 in ranked and I'm MUCH worse than the Diamonds in this video ... that's frightening
To briefly outline how for anyone wondering ... HOW ... that's how:
- started playing RL a few years ago with 2 friends (they had already a few hundred hours in when I started)
- eventually we got to Diamond
- they continually lost interest in the game
- now we play a total of maybe 30 matches per season ... like 3-5 matches per month not enough to gain/drop ranks really we go down a few divisions but also up if we have a good day ... but always between Plat 3 and D1
- I'd say at least 1500 of my hours were spent in Casual mode where I have a waaaay too high MMR and where I'm always matched with GC+ and get called toxic for being bad ... but I'm just genuinely bad
- I really like the game but my friends don't and don't wanna improve or train or anything ... they only play those few matches for me because that's what friends to ... without me I guess they'd never play
Now I don't wanna play 3s ranked because that's what me and my friends play and I don't wanna outrank that (neither up nor down)
2s is hard because the game thinks oh you're good in 3s here have a Diamond Partner and go for it ... but as I said ... I'm really bad ... I would put my personal skill above Gold
1s would work but it's not fun ...
It makes perfect sense that people with less hours would possibly beat the players at same level with more hours.. better at gaming, naturals at this game.. naturally smart at the games.. whatever the case. It makes sense
Champ with 4000 hours: *butchers the wall aerial and passes it right to his opponent*
Champ with 200 hours: *whiffs the free shot*
Striped: "That shows you that consistency... he only has 200 hours in the game and it's just not always the most consistent." ???
I hit plat 1 at 30 hours and now at 60 i am plat 2-3
And to be honest, I don't know why haha, to me its just the experiences i make that make me improve, like reading fakes, trying to aerial, MISSING, improving aerials, actually hitting them, playing some workshop maps like the aim training one and so on
I mean if you dont try to hit aerials or good shots then you cant get better at them right?
Also I have some gc and ssl friends that in my first 10 hours introduced me to some very helpful mechanics like halfflip, boostcontrol etc which made me understand the game much faster
Watching rlcs helps a lot too i think
I think my gamesense is rly okayish, also speedflips in my elo dont mean that much of an advantage right now, since u can e.g. at kickoff kinda see where the enemy drive and just need to react properly to it
Trainingspacks help a lot too at understanding physics, especially the crazy goalie ones where it just feels satisfying to save a hard shot

Is 160 hrs p3 close d1 any good? Im decent with mechanics but i make up for it with game sense and rotations.
I’m a plat 3 with less than 30 hour of playtime
(Reason why it’s less than 30 hour of playtime is because, I learn mechanics very fast depending on how I read it, and how the stuff works. I usually watch Rl youtubers on how they use the mechanics, and how they control the car.)
Edit: I’m a pc player so it makes it a lot easier than using control (cause I’m more of a pc player than a control player)
a thing that I noticed in every game, is that the guys who tried to dribble normally all had on their ball cam.
If these guys are champs then I'm a pro in disguise, chilling in p1

i feel like the majority of these ppl didn’t start playing ranked until 200-300 hours played. whereas someone like me who only played ranked hit C2 in 500 hours. so it’s all relative
Very clear to me that nobody in this video knows how to properly calculate hours. If you started playing after season 3: Time in game (in hours) * 2.1 If you started playing prior to season 3: number of matches played * 0.175. No chance some of these kids were the hours they said. NO CHANCE.
