    I use Ni alot now and I use it during my evening routine. I sit or lay down in a dark room with nothing in the room to distract me and I ponder my future and future goals. " what three goals do I need to do tomorrow?" "Do I need to change anything?" " What about areas for growth?" ( these "areas of growth" will help me with my future goals/outcome and it will help my future self become better than I currently am). Try it! And when you go to sleep, Your subconscious will be processing the information making things easier for you to accomplish any goals. Also try writing down your dreams

    Something that's really worked for me in order to get into my feelings is to go on walks and do video journals. It's difficult for me to sit down and journal because I feel like I'm just wallowing, and I also get insecure that my neighbors can hear me so I clam up. Paradoxically, being out and about means nobody is within hearing range for long, and doing a physical activity helps me open up. To others, I may look like I'm recording a video for social media. When someone is within hearing range, I simply stop talking to acknowledge them then continue where I left off. I've been doing this daily for two years and it's been a godsend.

      Living in Fi because of a rough upbringing can mistype you as INFP

    • @LaMach420
      @LaMach420 7 месяцев назад

      Not how it works. Your brain cant magically rewire itself. It's obviously possible to mistype but that's just a miscalculation, this is either a case of that or roleplaying. It's possible to function as other types such as your shadow, subconscious and superego (4 sides of the mind, cognitive transitions) but that is a stress response and will emulate a subpar version of them and is limited to 3 other types, in the case of ENTJ being INTP, ISFP and ESFJ.

    My favorite thing is to use the Ni, and I do it while I take long walks at night. I think a lot while walking, like organising things in my mind or planning or even doing active visualization. When I'm not doing that on my walk, I usually just look around at the trees, focus on asmr leaves crunching under my foot, comprehend the voices around me & just think of my feelings/validate myself. I usually also record voice notes to vent, so that helps. Watching this video helped me understand like yes THIS is what I do. I am also very much in my Se these days, it's such a big detriment sometimes. Definitely need to work on it!

    7 minutes in (at 2x speed) and this is the most satisfactory breakdown of an entj I’ve come across. Good work
    Also the part about chunking back and efficient systems, my reaction was “people don’t do this as the norm?”

    I feel incredibly comfortable with Ni and Te comes natural to me but I think I don’t feel anything like my ESTJ counterparts. Often they annoy me and they care far more about the little things and just “being busy” than I do. I don’t care to be busy and all over the place, I care to be effective and to be narrow in focus.

    I realize that *technically* if you watch the first and last part of the ESTJ cognitive functions video and the middle part of the ENFJ cognitive functions video, you get the ENTJ functions. That's a bit funny to me, although I think the function combinations do make a difference in how they manifest.

    What if Alexis... what if... instead of the opposites be sort of a negative aspect of each personality type, what if instead it is the ability to introspect on both sides of the spectrum? At least for the ENTJ. In order to understand one side as much as possible, one has to delve into the other. If psychologically we are blind towards the other side, then how can we delve into it? While perhaps not our greatest moments when we do delve into this side, with a great memory and long term vision all the data generated will serve tremendously. Perspective. Life, it is all about perspective.
    The sensing part is very important. In order to capture the full perspective, we need to engage all our senses; while perhaps not the best when decision-making, because perhaps logic behaves better than emotion, emotion is very important. When it is pure logic, while perhaps 100% efficient, it is not 100% sustainable. That balance is what we seek.

    I understand you value your privacy and your time. I understand that you control the narrative of your content/channel and I really appreciate when you do Live Streams with your fanbase/community. I enjoy your content and truly believe that within the last year or two you have reached an advanced level in typology (whatever that means lol). I have a strong desire to communicate with you sometime one on one about typology. I would be willing to pay for 1 hour for the first visit to be respectful of your time, but I believe the conversation will be a benefit to us both, and very interesting and intuitive. I have some stipulations before the conversations about typology would begin (If this ever becomes a reality, which if it doesn't is also acceptable but not ideal) The 1st is that when we first stream, I would like for your husband to be with you so that I can meet/greet you both. This first time chat would also be a sort of interview with me, to see if the conversation(s) are worth your time, if you have anything to gain/learn from them as well as me learning anything from you. If so then this would sort of progress into a few sessions or just one hopefully long session or not rushed. Also Fe doesn't matter in this conversation, I mean past the greeting and just generally being polite unless it's getting in the way of information exchange. It does matter if we are in discussion about it, but not necessarily the use of it between us. I am in no rush to push a date for this to happen, it could be sometime in 2024 for example. My Secondary e-mail is mwstephenson85@comcast.net. Please reply here that you sent the e-mail if this is of interest to you. I would not be asking this of you if I did not consider my understanding of typology to also be at an advanced level. Some topics that might come up other than Jung's Typology and 8 cognitive functions might be, Enneagram ( types/wings/tri type/instinctual variants) Attachment Styles, Personality Disorders - Diagnostic Statistical Manual v5 Talking about Jung himself and the book psychological types. Our conversations would be kept private, but if you think we might be able to make an interesting video for your channel I might be up for this.

    Would you say that in this world there are mainly two types of people? -A, and -T... from there the 16 combinations. It surprises me that on all these videos about the MBTI 16 personality types, that you guys do not include the -A and -T into your factoring. These are the core motivation behind the 16 types. What does this video mean exactly the same for a -A, then for a -T? Huge difference. Perhaps a later video? Would be pretty cool! Great video by the way! Thank you Alexis, I think you were spot on.

    • @hahahaund
      @hahahaund 6 месяцев назад +1

      Perhaps it is due to the slightly different systems in which those two subtypes are used.
      The -A and -T are mainly developed by Myers-Briggs, whom directly use the two letter dichotomy in order to type someone (i.e. I vs E, S vs N, F vs T, J vs P). I daresay it's a more on the surface and accessible version of this study? Correct me if I'm wrong.
      In contrast, this video's references are mainly from Carl Jung's cognitive functions, where the 8 cognitive functions aren't equivalent to said dichotomies from the Myers-Briggs system. Instead, they use the same 4-Letter type in a different manner;
      - the 1st letter whether your first function is (I)ntroverted or (E)xtraverted,
      - 2nd letter if your highest perceiving function is either a (S)ensing or i(N)tuitive function
      - 3rd letter if your highest judging function is either a (T)hinking or (F)eeling function
      - 4th letter if your first **extroverted** function is a (J)udging or (P)erceiving function. (Which dictates how you interact with the external world)
      This is where the discrepancy lies in, I believe. They are two different systems with which you can get different extrapolations from. Though perhaps they can be integrated into each other one way or another, but that I'm not sure of. ( - INTP )

    • @ricardosalas7246
      @ricardosalas7246 6 месяцев назад

      @@hahahaund Thank you for the reply. I do not believe this is a discrepancy, but a continuation of Jung's work, and a very important one. With just the first 4 letters alone, we obtain behaviors but not intentions, not motivations... with the -A and -T, we learn intentions and motivations... with the first for letters we learn tendencies towards, but without the -A and -T we can tell the most possible outcome.
      It would be even greater if a scale of personality disorders could be added to this model; or the different diseases and brain injuries that are very common, how they process when ran through, see the possible outcomes... this would be very helpful. i.e. the difference between an ESTP empath and an ESTP narcissist, an ESTP sociopath, ESTP psychopath... versus ....

      I've been their the truth is you just keep pushing. You just keep going and eventually you get back on track it took me about a year to recover and get back to my old self. Just keep going forward and set new goals that drive and inspire you and remove anyone in your life that gets in the way of it.

      If your depression state was partly because of old habits pre-healing , you may want to reconsider whether it’s the superhuman (unbalanced overuse/underuse of tools in ur personal toolkit) producitivty you need back, or whether that would land you right back in the depression mode or some other coping state of unhealth. Maybe what’s needed is the growth that can bring you to being truly convicted , of why certain abilities are not the only goal/answer/source of confidence and value of self. Maybe a reconfiguration of how you’re viewing the situation , in ur values (cough cough Fi) would shift what ur desired goals even are …

      I had this issue too. Something that helped me was working on my self concept. When you’re depressed, you start to ascribe negative attributes to yourself without even being consciously aware of it. Once I started saying affirmations towards myself every morning immediately after waking up, genuinely believing that I have all the positive attributes I wished to possess, properly caring for my body, setting boundaries with people, staying away from people that try to dictate my self concept for me, etc. The productivity just came back to me without me having to force it
