For us it’s a little bit on the sweeter side, so I will reduce the sugar next time. Ps. for all the people, this was my first mistake: Do not whisk the egg white to hard into the cake dough, otherwise the cake will collapse a lot once you take out of the oven.
Yesi Ho hi,no i didn’t skip this step, it keeps the cake moist, just mix the normal sugar with hot water and put it on the cake with a brush/spoon, it’s simple and good.

Is 340F your oven temp or the inner thermo oven temp as each oven can vary although the ovem temp set at 340F does not mean it really 340 if we use the ovem thermo to measure that is why i asked as i fail too many times at baking

Hey i actully wnna bake this but i have a very small ovem that only fits 1 pan at a time even if i use 6 inch tins... are u able to share a recepi that may make for 1 batch? means i have to make 6 fresh new batch everytime i make a new layer... i wanted to half the amount of the recipe but based on my experience i alwys get bad cake whn i try to reduce or add the original recepi given.. not a goof baker but woulf not give hope hehe

i dont usually add in egg yolks to rainbow cakes coz sometimes when you add colors to it, it wont be the same when baked.
