My name is Scott, I was born in 1994 and honest to God, my father named me after this man because he won some race in 1993. I dont even watch motorsports and my dad has never met this man. He could have picked any name in the whole world. I could have been named after any one of the great men who have come before, or maybe even after someone with a close personal relationship to my parents, that would have been nice, but instead I'm named after this guy, Scott Russell, a guy I'll most likely never meet and a guy who doesn't know who I am.
Being a huge Kawi head back then (and still today) I understand why your dad was such a fan. The dude learned to go that fast as a street rider. And I’m also a Scott so I used to enjoy my favorite rider sharing a name. lol
Scott, really respect your accomplishments and wish you well. I work at a dermatology practice you are familiar with in Stockbridge GA. Best wishes sir.
Scott Russell superstar Mr.suprbike when scott went to 500gps mick doohan said he was was more worried about scott than anyone else ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREATS I've a collection of his helmets set of leathers my two kids had their photos taken with him ..he gave me a pair of white dainese sliders at Donnington just a great guy GOOD LUCK with whatever you do in the future 👍👍👍
Mine too. What a disappointment when that rider crashed into him at the start of the race and ended his career. Scott had such talent; it was a thrill to watch him race.
My pops raced with him and Duhamel back in the day. My earliest memories is the smell of 4 cycle exhaust in pit lanes, me in my crib. Scott was my favorite racer and Dad was ok with that 😅
Hey Scott, This Bruce and Roger "Peachtree Performance". Remember us from Doraville Ga.? Our shops were across the parking lot from your shop. I remember when you and Aaron Yates had just got your new factory Suzuki motorcycles and were showing off, Aaron crashed his doing a wheelie. Do you still have your NSX you kept there? I also broke my Clavicle at your personal home flat track in Woodstock Ga., racing you, Aaron, and Kenny Roberts on our pit bikes. Yours was painted by Troy Lee. The good ole days! Lol

Scott is one of the most knowledgeable racers out there. Listen and learn.
