Thank you to you and your wife for this excellent video! I am a late mycophile-76 year old disabled person who was born in the Bremerton Naval Hospital. Love learning from you. Absolute fabulous video 😊
Ohhhh!!! I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen your wife in your videos! She’s just as beautiful as I’d imagined! Thanks for sharing her with us, and for all the knowledge you ALWAYS give us!
Give your wife a hug and tell her she is beautiful...loved her mushroom tee. Glad you got a getaway (albeit a pricey one). Thanks for filming so we could enjoy it too. I am grateful!
Thanks for this video Aaron and Mrs. H!. Having traveled from Maine to Telluride to attend the TMF a bunch of times in the past, but not being able to have gone recently, your video really captured the spirit of the place and event for us. Over the years we got to meet Manny, Gary, Paul Stamets, Art Goodtimes, Katrina Blair, Britt Bunyard, Paul Evans and so many other fine knowledgeable folks and to learn so much from them. It is just so much fun! Looks like a bounteous mushroom year in Colorado, I guess the monsoon rains came with perfect timing.
Great video thanks for sharing the adventure. I eat the shrimp russula and it’s delicious. We’re finding them right now. We’re from Grande cache Alberta on the eastern slopes of the Rockies .4200’. Finding them in mossy coniferous areas.
That was an awesome representation of your visit I think they should be really happy with that and I love those places that have bunches of different kinds of mushrooms I found my Maitake today in West Central Illinois
Is it just me or does this vid have no sound? I changed the video and others are fine. Anyways, I'd definitely love to go to any festival showcasing the love of mushs but definitely too expensive for someone living on a very limited income. Ill live curiously through these videos though so thanks for showing the journey and knowledge. Definitely can't wait for it to rain here in Bellingham WA. It's been over 2 months since an actual rain.
Finally was able to get around watching this! Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us, Aaron - I'm going to put this festival on my to-go list for next year. It just looks like so much fun! And camping and foraging while the festival is going sounds like so much fun!
Mushroom Wonderland... what a great documentary on the Telluride Mushroom festival. My favorite part...23:30 - 27:30 camping and mushrooms hunting. Loved this portion of the documentary, because so much knowledge was displayed.. I'm in Olympia and would love to learn more from you. Consider teaching me? Dad OG (Of Girls)

Love the video I was there as well! Nice recap! Two things I noticed. The person you sighted as Katrina Blair wasn’t actually her and we don’t have Grizzly bears in Colorado.
Oh dang!!. My bad Katrina if you read this!🍄❤️ And somebody else mentioned that it was probably a large black bear that was in its cinnamon phase. I didn't know that. Thank you for the corrections 🙏🍄
I finished watching the whole documentary. Well done - it is not easy to compose everything together. The only thing is that I do not understand what this 400 bucks are exactly for - foraging event? or for the parade? or just to enter the town???
For all of the lectures, workshops and events that are going on in various theaters and meeting halls throughout the town, including the big auditorium at the high school where the real famous keynote speakers talk and stuff. And you get to take part in the forays. If you're into listening to lectures and stuffing your brain with massive information, the $400 is worth it! Thanks for watching. It was a big trip, it was fun to make the documentary but it was a lot of work! I would like to keep making them better and better though.
One of my old Stomping grounds and still is, but I only live an hour away from it. We dont have grizzly bears lol that is funny we got black bear and they come into blondes, reds, rust, black, No Grizzly's just Black Bear's. The Grizzly bears are in Zoo's here but not wild, last wild grizzly bears was killed back in the 1950's and none since. wanna test it go find a bear and climb a tree , grizzly bears cant climb trees, black bears do.
@@jerrycavallo6103 I understand, I’m talking about the man in the video that’s from Seattle. I’m saying he wouldn’t know the difference in a Grizz and a black bear.
Yeah we figured that out later. I don't know much about bears, obviously, but it was brown and sometime I heard brown bears are grizzly bears. But I guess it was just a black pair and it's cinnamon phase where their hair looks Brown. Thanks 🙏
Awesome brother, I really enjoyed it, I'm glad yall got to go, that was kick ass I bet, I hope you found a few good ones, lol
Mush ❤️ bro!.

$400 a ticket is their right to charge. Thanks for showing who are the profiteers.
if you think you saw a Griz in Colorado you need to contact the Colorado fish and Game ...The mighty Griz is thought to be extinct in Colorado !!
Upon a little further investigation it could have been a black bear in its cinnamon phase. I just learned that. 🤷
Looked like a cinnamon black bear ?
He didn’t see a Grizz in co. He’s from Seattle.

Yeah, my bad. Several people have corrected me already. I didn't know they had a brown phase. Now I do!
