I love this and the raw stories from Iya Oyin from her childhood and traditional Isese in Osogbo vs Atlanta culture. I can absolutely relate and see it all of the time. It’s time we do better!
I am glad that this is relatable and that we are finding value in the conversations. And yes, it is time for us to do better and I really do believe the time is now. It seems that we are ready for it. Thank you for watching Iyalode!
Extremely heartfelt dialog from the women. I found it interesting to hear the similarity among the females to be a common thread with all women. The concepts discussed deprogramming from various sources of our original knowledge and our immerse ourselves in Truths. I enjoyed learning about the African Culture and Traditions Roles. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for this relevant, crucial conversation. Indeed, every role is important to the community's overall success. A helpful reflection for us all would be why we always need to "be seen". I love the conversation regarding work not being background or foreground work. All workers an effect one the ase behind our spiritual work.
Thank you for your comment! We are aiming to bring more important and relevant conversations to the table. I think being "seen" in community spaces and in leadership allows us to recognize and actualize our individual and collective power. Representation is important. A balance of energy in our homes, schools, spiritual houses and communal spaces is important for both men and women to see and experience.
