Army men! Masons! Holy Moly! I'd love to have a shopping/exploration adventure with you! They can keep their Malls, I'd take an Antique store any day! The 2 man saw... to build the cabin with it would make the saw an Honored specimen!
Congratulations to Kevin on winning the giveaway. In 1961 while living in Heidelberg Germany my parents bought me and my brother the whole US Army and Nazi Army set of the small soldiers. There were hundreds of them on each side. We used rubber bands to knock each other down. Dad was a 25 yr Army veteran. Really like the Mason jar.
At 62 years old, and I was raised by people who still had the values that they learned during war and the depression.all the stuff you find, are the things that I grew using!!The soldiers,and cowboys and Indians,those were pretty much all I had to play with. It's a drag that I didn't age as well as the items!
I was right towards the end of the Marx toys....but I had all the figures in this bag when i was a kid. I had the cowboys and indians too. They were my favorite toys as a child. That is why I buy that stuff. I love digging the older ones on the dumps too. I will have on a dump digging video tomorrow. Thanks Mike

It is a good deal. You cannot even buy new marbles at walmart that cheap. Even those newer marbles in those bags are Jabo Agates. And they quit making them. They are beautiful...and collectable

Yes, I wasn’t really into sports cards but I really like the figures and the plastic cars. I still have a mustang and a race car made by Tim-Mee. Oh and the plastic kites from BF always getting stuck into trees. Also the Universal monster model kits by Aurora were sold there.

Cherry Smash. I don't know are the origin, but it is still bottled in Landover, MD. Rock Creek Bottling, a subsidiary of Canada Dry owns the copyright. My southern relatives swear by Cher-Wine, but Cherry Smash is the best cherry soda out there. Grandma used old fashioned irons like that when I was real small. She was Mennonite, and always resisted change. I don't think she got an electric iron until the late 60's, early 70's. The handle comes off because you always had two. Just like soldering irons. While you're using one, the other is on the wood stove, getting hot. To me, those soldiers are modern. Hard to believe those molds were made almost 50 years ago.

That brass instrument was really old....and really cool. It looked at least 1890....and I think it was older than that..had that look to it

I grew up playing with army men like that! Brings back memories. I wish I would have kept them.
I lost about half the ones I had.....I had almost all of these in this bag I got as a kid. Was happy to be able to get them again
@@rockscousteau Most of mine got given to my nephews, sold some and destroyed some. I used to have the Marx Iwo Jima mountain play set, that was awesome.
