there is barely no bsnl in my area the local provider askin 6k for installation 😑1k /month for 10Mb/s , no airtel or other providers there is even not postpaid mobile network here problems of rural area, had to lock and tweak up bands on my cell phone to get 6-7 Mb/s , prev it was below 1,

Some government websites especially websites which are used in rural areas such as State government websites, panchayat, jandhan yojna, PM awas yojna etc are purpously made so bad so that they can be opened even with a low speed internet.
Also not all government websites are trash. Have a look at Central govt websites such as Ministry of External affairs, Ministry of commerce and many more. These websites are made really good

Let me share you my story...
I got DSL connection in my home in like 2010 or 2011. It all was working fine as I was also not that old and was too young to know or understand the plans. What I did of internet at that time was search on Google for "free online games" and play games on internet and sometimes i browsed RUclips and rarely I went to game parlour to play PS2/3.. like once or twice a moth. But when I entered 8th, my interest in gaming began. I sat for first time in plane in 7th class so I ordered a Flight Sim game, Microsoft Flight Sim X. Yes one thing before it that I got 3Mbps on my BSNL DSL and Airtel mobile data gave much better speed so I preffered Mobile data over Wi-Fi. When I got the game, I had to download it over Wi-Fi as Mobile data was limited. So at that time I realised that how bad Wi-Fi was. I told my father about it and like 2-3 months later I was getting 10Mbps @10GB/day which was more than enough for me and everyone. So time passed and then i entered 9th. Till then I had not played any multiplayer game. But in 9th I got my hands on to CS:GO. I tried playing it on Wi-Fi and I found that my DSL connection broke very much... like it worked for sometimes and immediately connection broke, the DSL light of Modem turned off. i thought that it was modem issue so the modem was changed in like 2-3 moths(takes time to convince parents). After that the issue continued..... So, I decided to complain to BSNL exchange about this. So, I complained them and like in 1-2 days I got response that it won't happen again. But it continued. I was so frustrated that i thought of playing on mobile data but ping was very...................................................................... high and network lag was the worst enemy. So, the worst advice I got to play emulator form one of my friends. So, I downloaded it and it was good on mobile data. One day I thought that I should complain them again about same. So for like some months the engineer did not come to my home and after that he came to check and was not able to get the fault. He advised me to switch to FTTH and I was like happy and excited to get good speed. So in Nov 2019 I got my FTTH connection, 50mbps @ 200GB@some ~400pm. I was happy at such cheap plan. All this continued and there was seldom LOS signal on modem and if it was there the line was fixed within 1-2 hours. My p[ing became heaven... 40ms. All of a sudden in jan I started getting high ping. Like 200+ms at peak hrs. So I researched on internet for same after no response from local guy. And yes.. the fiber line was lease line of a local contractor... So, I found on internet that a particular ip like 117.x.x.x was good and yes it was better. 50ms to Indian servers and 110ms to SEA, but my friends got 60-80ms on SEA so I was like somewhat dissapointed. So, I complained and I got number of JTO, DGM and even GM of my area for BSNL, as I had started CS:GO in April after my boards and had quit emulator and I wanted a stable and better connection. See the main thing is I had to restart modem for like 30 mins to get good ip and if electicity failed, 30 more mins. So, in July this year they upgraded bandwidth like some ~200-400 units and the ping improved ONLY on that ip. So I was like ok np. But in July the OLT machine of my area started having some issues. The network would drop like 5-6 times a day and if it dropped after 9 or 10 then it would be restored only next day after 8 in the morning. The issue still continued till Aug and all the work of mine was on WiFi as mobile data had no speed in lockdown. So, I was fed up of calling him and complaining 5-6 times a day. The problem grew so much that internet would drop like every 30 mins after repair. I was thinking of giving up BSNL and like at that very day I saw a poster of Airtel XStream fiber in my area. I immediately called the given number and he told that the box was at right in front of my house and got my connection on like 7th August and till now it is good. I would like to mention that all the staff of BSNL had been very nice to me all this time but in lock down WiFi is required so I had to give up my connection.

@@vpatel7854 see...I have had 6 days with Airtel.. and it is pretty nice. In plan of 100 Mbps I get 115 Mbps.. downtime depends on city mostly as server issue is very rare. The quality of OLT determines the Downtime. Like I mentioned about ftth OLT? Overall speed is stable ping is good and more speed than plan

Bsnl is best for me in olden times in services and speed.Aircel and airtel and reliance used to give me speed 30 to 40 kbps in 3G and bsnl used to give me Around 250 to 300 kbps in 3G which was very high speed for me in 2012

Well coming from 200 kbps connection, having a stable connection is more than enough. This video sums up the situation nicely. On a brighter note, I used to watch 480p youtube videos now at least I can enjoy 4K without any buffering.

I have been using BSNL Broadband from Class 5 (back in 2011-12). I still remember download all the movies and series between 2 am to 8 am. After so many years BSNL has never let me down. Last year I upgraded to Bharat Fiber and trust me it's still the best as compared to Jio and Airtel.

Now in 2020, I'm here again due to corona wfh and my Airtel wifi is working fine.

Our college provided us with BSNL broadband connection and in my case it always used to give good speed upto 100-130mbps, and it was unlimited too...now using alliance broadband fiber connection (OFC) for my home and here it is kinda a cheap...for 1500rs/month they give 210mbps. Minimum plan is 590rs for 60mbps. And unlimited too.

100% agreed on DSL speed limits. I took the 291 Promotional plan. It was advertised as 20Mbps till 10GB/Day (1Mbps later on). I used to get 6-7 Mbps always. I told them about this matter. They didn't have any answer. I searched on google and read few articles to conclude that DSL infrastructure of BSNL is bottlenecked to 6-7 Mbps. So basically, 20Mbps is just a gimmick.

I live in Karnataka, I have BSNL FTTH. I live in a village. Fortunately our area had Copper connection since 90s but condition of them was horrible. Finally when I was in 3rd year of Engineering we got DSL connection (2016 17). (We had BSNL telephone since 98 I guess) . Now in 2018 they offered Fiber net and they converted Digital India (Rural scheme in which every Grampanchayat is connected with 2mbps optic connection) to 50mbps. It's very sad that Bsnl is dying.
I was a BSNL customer since 2007, ran things with 2mbps plan atleast upto 2019-20. Now I have switched to Railwire and the change in speed and service is just great. Prices on packs are great too 499 50 Mbps with 1.5tb usage which can be carried over to next month if there is data left. No one is going to use that much data at this speed, atleast not in a month.

Actually ADSL supports good enough speeds, but for that to happen, your crosstalk needs to be very low and SNR very high. In short, depends on connection quality. Kaant chaant wale taar pe nahi aayega.
And you'd need ADSL2+ end to end.

wireless broadband is good for people in small town
who were using it for business except streaming streaming,
I am using wireless network (chatriwala Wi-Fi) and my Wi-Fi tower is 1km from my home
and i have lowest plan from my provider 60mbps for rs700 and its unlimited
and the average speed I get 55mbps well sometimes its fluctuate to much,
but its never turn down like cable network, if your cable is cut offed your network is going to
completely shut down and small areas local providers take to long to place new cable.
On wireless Wi-Fi broadband speed may decreases in rainy seasons but if your tower is under
5km you easily get 25-35mbps fluctuated but good thing is the network never were completely stopped working not even single time

I used to download after 2 am till morning 7. Used to mess up my sleep schedule.
IG Bhai, I live in Noida. That too in the main city area, not some outskirts. I have been bearing with the Airtel VDSL from last 3 years. Initially, it was 16 Mbps later 40 Mbps. Leave unlimited, it was only 150GB data bundled with the plan. There was no meaning of getting any higher plan since speed was restricted to 40 Mbps. So I used to either top-up. Last year they introduced a new top-up of Rs. 299 which gives unlimited data (3333GB in real). But speed was always fluctuating, sometimes getting into a single digit. During the lockdown, this became way too frequent. I was pursuing Airtel since day 1 to get it upgraded to Fiber. Wasn't a big deal for them either, their nearest point with fiber node was only 400 metre within the same area. I, in fact, drew a map and plan for cable route. Since I am in similar field. I talked to their Area head, Nodal Officer, wrote emails to the appellate authority. All in vain. In the end, they didn't upgrade. I had too much. So I asked for disconnection, they did it.
Now this month finally BSNL through LCO/Franchise laid their fiber in my area. But BSNL has a lot of quirks. BSNL site info rarely matches with actual scenario. I applied through their site many times. But no one calls back or inform. Only once I received a call back that too after 10 days. Their plans data and speeds are quite weird too. I don't know why they still have 10 Mbps speeds on higher plans.
Next month Jio Fiber come too in my area as they are laying cables now.
Final thought: Bade shehro me sabke pas fiber nahi hota Lakshman.

If it is Bangalore or Prayagraj Or any other cities I am getting consistent speeds I have a secondary connection with airtel speeds are consistently equal. but amount i am paying 3 times more on airtel. Trust me, my experience with BSNL is awesome.

Main recently lagaya hoon local wif-fi Jiofiber se change karke.
Mera area moderate hai jyada hi-fi nahi ya koi sasta wala jagah bhi nahi hai.
Maine local wala connection lagaya hai wireless wala jaha koi wire ka problems toh hai nahi.
60 mbps plan ka lagaya hai 650 rs mein unlimited joh mere hisaap se bahut cheap hai. Pehle Jiofiber lagaya tha aur woh log bahut paisa khaate thhe. 100 mbps plan se accha mereko unlimited lagta hai bass thora sa kam speed jaise 50-60 bhi chalega.
Ethernet par complete 60 mbps speed aata hai dono upload aur download aur wireless mein 35-40 aata hai.
Problems Obviously aaya hai. Wireless connection ka device joh hai woh kharaab hua hai ek baar. Kabhi kabhi connection bannd bhi hua hai.
Overall bolu toh main khush hi hoon apna connection se.

Its arriving on 22 august and what i was thinking is to but a 512gb hdd for additional storage.
Now i want to know should i but 512gb hdd or 1tb hdd.
And which can you provide me the link of respective hdd.

If you have different ethernet and wifi modem in same desktop you can combine multiple internet connection using iNETFUSION+.... Or you can connect your different mobile to mobile data and turn on usb ethernet tethering.... All the speeds are combined in downloading in torrent and internet download manager.... For other use like youtube use speedify.... They work great
I don't know about other cities, but here in mine which isn't even the biggest city but fairly big, I can easily get unlimited internet without any data cap at really good prices.
im using BSNL fiber in my city its never dissapoint me in terms of speed, im getting on and around 80 -90mbps constant 24x7 .

In BSNL, you can get rebate in Bill for those days (>3days) when your BB service was faulty, so you can get money back when you couldn't use your internet. I am a BSNL employee you have to provide your complaint id.

I have been struggling soo hard for broadband 💀 and the sad part is my house is 1km away from the highway where the gigabfier lines passed recently. bhai ADSL ka main problem tha ki ham jaise laga gye wo aise hi chalate the hame apne router ke SNR ratios or attenuation check krke electrical interferance check krna padta hai or set up khud krna pdta hai..

BSNL has a portal known as Selfcare portal which gives usage details, tariff details, etc. Try it it's really a good portal. I currently use a BSNL Bharat Fiber connection and I am really happy with it. I pay for 50mbps and always get 55+

my connection provider is alliance broadband. At least to me they provide the best internet service. i have 500 up (almost) and a consistent 500 down connection, plus its unlimited so thats a BIG bonus. YEAH!!!

Bro BSNL took 14-21 days to install landline service in my house. And when it was finally installed, it started to stop working at random intervals, plan was 8mbps connection for 2gb then 1mbps unlimited. But it stopped working randomly for 15 minutes frequently. So there was no connection.
Then we finally switched to optic fibre by VS Infotech (they added their services later in our area, otherwise I would have opted for them in the first place). Unlimited 5mbps but very reliable, and low latency. I play games and get 30-40 ping.
BSNL is also very poor at customer care in our area atleast.

Alliance Broadband Fiber is probably the best in my city Kolkata.. I use the lowest priced unlimited plan of Rs. 590/- only that gives 60mbps (7.5MB/s) downlink and 30mbps uplink with very low pings and no FUP as well. Yes its very hard to imagine that people still use BSNL which I left probably 9 years ago.

I had better plan when was in Delhi. I used to get 60 Mbps at around 2015 for 700 rupees.
Nobody nearby is interested in FTTH or broadband. They all feel satiated with their JioFi. Fast internet is an addiction in itself.
@@sublimefermion2205 Well I upgraded the plan recently. Now it's 85mbps for Rs 767 only. Really fiber is mandatory for high speed stability and yes I see it in my everyday use! Jio-Fi is nothing but a joke in front of the fiber broadband.
