It's hilarious that right around that time McDavid said in an interview that he should probably shoot more. In other words, he just decided to score more on shots, and you can see it directly in this video

Maybe, but Lucic and Caggs replaced him for a while, and they were as bad or worse, and McDavid somehow stayed hot

Whats funny is i remember checking the league stats after the new year and he was literally no where to be found. He was legit ranked like 22nd in the league at the point. then he set everything on fire and tore the league up.
This McDavid character seems to be good at playing hockey. I hope he sticks with it.
Next season he's getting 120 points. 40 goals and 80 assists.
I doubt a 110 possibly but not 120 just my opinion but will see.
He had 85 even strength... Imagine if our powerplay becomes top 10 this year; he'd EASILY surpass 115.
