Really liked the video! I'm planning to hike this in the coming week. I don't have any experience using an ice axe. Do you think this is necessary? I haven't glissaded down a mountain before either. Would also appreciate it if you could list the gear you used!
There is supposed to be alot of snow in the coming weekend. Ice axe is very good to have for these types of trips and a must for glissading.avalanche danger will be pretty high im betting.if you do not have the experience i would wait to do it and be safe.

Thanks! I would hold off on this hike until spring if you have no experience. The avalanche chute is no joke and you could end up in trouble if you aren't able to read the snow. NWAC is a great resource for avalanche info. nwac.us
