Yeah man, it’s weird, I get lots of views on engine autopsy’s, I guess I’m not the only one curious as to what and what broke. I enjoy doing it too. I’m Super curious
I bet it would run again if you found parts from another one that hasn’t blown up yet. Problem is finding a donor engine since a lot of these Kohlers seem to fly apart in the same way (probably for the same reason too, running it low on erl).
You’re more adventurous than I am. I won’t even take those Courage single cylinder engines for free anymore because I can’t resell them in good faith. It’s inevitable that some “nut” will buy one from me and expect me to fix every issue that it will develop for free in the future like a “Lifetime Powertrain Warranty”. I’ve been down that road a couple of times and the best practice is to not sell this unreliable Courage engine. To be fair, I don’t really like the Briggs Intek or any other single unless it’s a “flathead”.
@@MowersNBlowers Those Command singles and V-twins are really reliable. I still have a Craftsman GT 3000 that I bought new in 2001. It has a Command Pro 23 that has mowed many yards in 22 years. I finally retired it.
Enjoyed the engine autopsy. Kohler Courage (especially single cylinder) sucks, but running it low on oil is the problem often.

Yes, unless a subscriber out there has the parts lying around their yard has it and donates it to the channel.

Yes the flatheads last forever but underpowered at only 13hp. You like Kohler commands? I’ve never seen a blown conrod on those.

I will take my blower up courage apart and see if my links are good let you know
Very cool mike, appreciate it man!
why does it knock? cause, its junk
There’s a reason for it, not necessarily junk to start off from. Something happened to it causing the knock.
really not in shot and now dog barking, moving on!
Move on brother!
