    Great video! Your walkthrough and demonstration was very helpful. I have been looking for something like this that is plug and play for displaying a large family calendar.

    Nice video! Considering that dakboard comes already with 2 screens available for the cheapest subscription I think it could be a nice and useful video if you show how to set up and than use dakboard on a tablet!

    Great video, thank you. Do you know if you can include a Google nest cam feed, or even just a website that remains on (so the web feed of the camera can always be on)? Thank you

    I want to use it as an initial screen only. How can I use it to show only whenever I turn my TV on?

    Do you know if the DAKboard Cpu is compatible with touchscreen monitors?

    Can you use this with a touch screen and have interactive apps such as home assistant.

  • @NicksStuff

    I don't really get it. This seems extremely expensive for something that does less than Home Assistant

      The main difference are that this is much more customisable with integrations from loads of sources all in one package, it’s all edited on the internet and changed on as many devices as you need.
      There is a vast range of widgets for it too, again, all customisable.

      I was thinking the same thing. But if enough ppl pump it on RUclips it’ll sell.

    Is there a particular monitor you recommend or at least minimum features? And to be clear, these screens are not touch screens?

      Hi there. If you want to just use the system on your own screen then it can literally be anything that uses HDMI.
      I used an old TV I had spare, nothing special but works great. They do provide screens if you want to spend out on them, but any old TV will do and will work well.

    I’ve been looking for something to place in my parents home that will display the monthly calendar and next to that the calendar agenda that would describe upcoming appointments. Wanted to know if I can control this device from my home given they use Google calendar and it’s associated with their Gmail account?. I have their Google calendar linked with mine so I see both and can manipulate their calendar. Also, is there a widget that can be used for notes that can be updated from my home to their monitor? I’m trying to assist my elderly parents (one with some dementia) keep up with appointments. Amy help would be appreciated.

      Hi there. That’s a good idea, yes you can control it from your home, just log in on your computer and update it.
      Theres a few ways to add a note. There are simple text blocks that you can edit, also a custom message feature or todo using todoist/g tasks, again you could update them and it would show up.

    If I have a touchscreen monitor can I add calendar events on the monitor and it will update my Apple calendar?

    • @MainCave
      @MainCave  Месяц назад

      Unfortunately not. It works the other way round. You update your calendar elsewhere and it updates and shows on the dakboard.

    buen dia! ¡Adoro el concepto! es de los mejores! ¡Sería posible lograrlo o realizarlo en un poster de papel digital! Asi al menos no consumiría mucho! L¡Lo malo es el costo del papel digital! ¡Si tienen pensado en una solución así le agradecería mucho! Saludos cordiales.

    How does it link your ICalendar to the screen, so you don’t have to enter in 2 calendars?

    • @MainCave
      @MainCave  7 месяцев назад

      Simply link it in your dashboard and display it. Simple. 👍🏻

    How much electricity does this suck up? Is it on 24/7 in your home? Is there a screen saver?

    • @MainCave

      Good questions. As for power, I don’t know, I don’t have it on 24/7 and you can have a screensaver

    Can you easily switch between the Dak board to the TV?

    • @MainCave
      @MainCave  7 месяцев назад

      With the cpu it uses a separate hdmi, so just switch source.

    I just received my dakboard. CPU and I cannot get it to work. I’m about ready to cry and I’m hoping you might be able to assist me since there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of support at dakboard. It looks so easy when you did it.

    Can it give an overview of a week for a family of 3-4 persons?
    Is there a subscription free?

    • @jasonlake
      @jasonlake 10 месяцев назад +1

      It can link to different calendars and has agenda options. I think you would need a paid version for this.
      The free version has very little customization. But it does have a free version.
