The English trio Depeche Mode forged synth-pop in the 1980s, then scored massive hits in the 1990s with songs like "Personal Jesus" and "Enjoy the Silence." Now, the group has enlisted a crew of wiz to rework its back catalog the collection "Remixes 2: 81-11." Jacqueline Cincotta sits in for John Schaefer and speaks with frontman Dave Gahan to talk about the album, the band and his career.
His characteristic baritone is truly one of a kind. That he is so good looking, and survived 3 near deaths, just makes him ALL the more special

Dave Gahan trae una imagen a Depeche Mode como ningún otro cantante lo ha hecho en muchos años. En su imagen en escenario retiene ese aspecto de rockero aún estando en un grupo techno.

Aw, he's lovely... I like how he remembers John Peel [v cool DJ] as being an influence on his music choices, yet when asked at the time as a teen, he said Peter Powell [definitely not cool DJ] 😂
Er, Peter Powell & David 'kid' Jensen were especially supportive new (UK) acts on their Radio 1 shows, probably as they were on from 4pm onwards.
No doubt, DM were supported by them. P Powell also allowed DJ Froggy to play some extended dance mixes on his show ( I'm sure my memory's not messing with me now)so gave a light to that subculture as well.
hopefully there WILL be some kinda Dave related record by the end of the year!
