🇺🇸 I am proud to be an American Soldier 🇺🇸 Игры
He's a Medical Officer. His branch isn't one that involves combat ffs. He got a slot to go to Ranger School most likely at his BOLC where new Lts can compete for a chance to go.
He competed with other people in his BOLC class, got the slot and finished the course. Which is more than the vast majority of the people trying to shit on him.
Also, he's a staff officer which means that he doesn't really have soldiers under his command at the moment. Staff officers might as well be mythical creatures, they have other stuff to do and what the hell does an S3 have to prove to Joes? If he was a company commander then, yeah, criticize him for not PTing with his men. My company commander PTs with us but staff just does their own thing.
Sincerley,
Prior enlisted, now commissioned officer who actually has a fucking clue instead of bitching and moaning and being jealous of someone who was smart enough to go to college.
dsettleascii 👌🏻👏🙌🏼
Medical Service Corps (MSC); the best job in the Army.
I think you missed the point why people got mad. I absolutely ran out of fucks to give about why this dude skips PT or which shop he runs in the staff. The philosophy behind “These guys are doing PT and Im not, ho ho ho” is freken ridiculous, let alone the fact putting this on RUclips. Totally understandable that not everyone is 11B, but at least control your internet needs for fucks sake.
Also, you can be a college grad and still do some grunt shit simply because you like it. You, my friend, must understand what I mean
Well said my friend
Yeah I'm Hating How do you rationalize that??
We had one Officer join us on PT regularly. He was the only one we respected as a soldier and a leader. I would go to hell and back for that LT. he was tabbed, air assault, combat deployment, and never thought he was above the lowest enlisted dude. A true leader. The rest of them wore wizard sleeves and fucked off.
A story for the kind of leader he was...
We went to the field at fort Lewis and it was down pouring rain in calf deep mud. He set up every tent along side me and my SSG (11 years 101st with 4 deployments), my SPC (8 years navy AD), and me the new PFC at the time. All the officers were bitching about electricity and heat and all the finer things while we were setting up all their shit. They sat in humvees. Throughout the two week exercise the other officers drove off range and showered daily while we wiped ourselves. He always ate what we ate when we ate. Loved LT
There are some cool ass LTs out there that will put there selves out there and endure with us enlisted the bad ones give them a bed rep
GOOD MAN, GOOD OFFICER!
Marc R I agree. You can’t call yourself a leader if you’re not also leading your Soldiers in PT as well. Leaders need to be with the led. How seriously should a Soldier take PT if their leader dousnt even think it’s good enough to warrant his presence?
Ha! Wizard sleeves is a thing. I got hate (from an officer) for commenting about it. I’m in a BSB and we have a bunch of staff officers and they ALL DO THAT. Except for one CPT who is a scrolled ranger and prior enlisted. He’s badass and super down to earth.
look at his awards when he's in class A. He'll probably be sporting an award only given to enlisted personnel. I bet he was enlisted prior to commissioning.
He was my Medo while we were in 25ID. For those who don’t know him, this man has a high standard and can get things done!
Ok guys before you bag on this officer, you have to know he is a POG. No deployment badge. But that is ok, not every soldier will deploy and fight. If you did not know already, 95% of the military will never see combat. At least he is serving, unlike 99.99% of the general public.
Pete N at this point only people seeing combat is some Army infantry units and all the Spec Ops like SEALs Rangers Marsoc obviously Delta and probably USMC Force Recon and the Army SF prolly sees some.
Pete N are you infantry?
@@subswithnovideos-tn2eb
I was, 1/22 A CO 4th ID Infantry division. Deployed to RC South Kandahar.
Pete N that’s awesome thank you for your service and I’m joining next year want to see some combat also what’s the best route SEALs Rangers Berets if I want some action?
@@subswithnovideos-tn2eb
I am glad you want to server. All I can suggest is please do your research. Rangers, Special Operator(ODA), Delta, Seals, Marsoc, reconnaissance or just infantry, it depends on your abilities. Also, combat is not what you see on television, deployment is different for all. Best of luck!
I knew this guy as a cadet and a officer one of best people I ever met. Glad to see he’s having success
Was enlisted infantry for 4 years and I can’t tell you how many enlisted want to go to the gym every morning and work out. Your life is how the army should be in the mornings. Not forced to do run after run after run after run.
@Chad Bruh this was so true....always focused on run after run after run. Bet a lot of enlisted soldiers would have been motivated if they got to go to the gym and work out instead of getting yelled for not running like a god or just plain running for the whole pt session which was boring as heck.
10-4 bro
military needs to get with the times tbh.
The reason they do that though is because running is part of every pt test and typically the part enlisted score lowest on. Soldiers are more likely to go lift on their own rather than run, therefore, mandatory runs.
chad rakestraw I’d rather be running than dumbass cd1 and cd2
From an AS3, pretty accurate representation of a normal day except going home when the sun is still out, and the ungodly amount of emails/PowerPoint/trackers/orders etc.
He's bold for putting himself out there like that so props for that.
I used to love all those classes that had to be updated and all the meetings and layouts just makes the day much sweeter lol
The couple looks good together and their both Captains! Sweet!
Until she becomes a major before him
I’m applying to college right now and trying to join the rotc program to become an officer and I’m so excited and this video just made me even more excited!
I am glad I find your channel Sir!!! Big hi from 25ID Hawaii)))
Ваня, когда ты выпустишь свое видео о службе офицеров?

It's still light outside and a staff officer is going home. Must be an awesome unit.
I inquired some questions over the email and Daniel was kind and helpful.
Thank you for this videos! :)
I always love to see the Officer POV of a day in a life. Seeing the differences between the enlisted and officer, it really gives me an outlook on which path I should choose.
Knowing me, I'm just not smart enough to become an Officer but smart enough to qualify for any job in the military.
If you are smart enough to do any job than you are smart enough to be an officer
-Army CPt
Only thing that annoys me, is I know a lot of officers who wont allow Soldiers to goto the gym during PT hours but will go themselves. As an NCO myself and others as well we try to switch things up from the regular run days mon/Wed/Fri and then muscle failure on Tues/Thurs. But a lot of Platoon Sgts and officer are quick to shut down any other ideas we may have. Which may be a gym day. But are quick to go themselves during PT hours.
That is the political bullshit I don't miss.
I've never been in a staff position where I didnt have subordinates or rated / senior rated someone
Dang the warrant officer sounded like Samual L. Jackson. He’s awesome!!
haha same thing i noticed
A standing desk and a fidget spinner?! You're being that guy Cap. Don't be THAT guy! 😂
No shit hes that guy look at him I bet he spends more time getting ready than his wife
Thank you for your service🇺🇸
Best one so far.
All the other youtubers day in the life videos are them eating
This guy actually explains what his job would be doing during the day
I loved wearing the PT belt in the gym...We had to wear those things everywhere. Brought back memories.
after high school and college, this i what i wanna do, thank you for showing us what goes on.
Hey did you join bro? Look up the Team House podcast. I reached out to one of the guys, he gave me great info about the army.
Your edits are hilarious. You just earned a new sub
Good thing I watched this video!! I'm still planning if I wanna enlist or go straight to officer route and this video helped me get a glimpse of what being an Army officer is like 😊
Jiyoung Won yea because the army wants an officer with finger tats lol
Yeah hand tattoos are a no go, guy
Not with those hand tats boy
Nick Wancho oh lol that's not me on the avatar. That's just a picture of a rapper

Thank you for fighting for my freedom. God bless America and long live the republic
This steroid abusing POG isn't fighting for your freedom. Stip believing that bullshit. This fucker will make his career by fucking Soldiers over. I've see shit bags like him before.
While I was watching the video I was seeing the b roll and I can’t believe you’re stationed on ft bliss !! That’s insane I’m from El Paso so that B roll was AMAZING
Thanks Capt, at 1:02, you made the statement that officers have a lack of execution. Hoooah, that's an understatement. As an 11c Section Sgt during our rotation at Ft Polk my 60mm mortar section was not able to execute any fire missions pursuant to the company commanders needs. And I mean the entire rotation in the box. The 11b's got there ass' handed to them many times over. Hoooah.
My first duty assignment was with a tanker unit and I was assigned to the S3 (3 years), so allot of what he was talking about I'm familiar with. The differences were that my S3 was a Major and my S3 NCOIC was a SGM and we had an actual medical officer (not a doc, but a registered nurse (BSN)) in our unit. But the slides for the briefings was my job to create with the input of the S3 of course. I also worked closely with the LTC (Battalion Commander) due to he wanting the slides for the QTB to be a certain way. And at the time I was the only one who knew how to use PowerPoint. So, even though I wasn't an officer, I got this video cause of where he worked. Oh and back in my first unit, company PT included all officers as well and once a month, battalion PT was a must for all officers as well. The LTC was into fitness. But then again, gyms weren't available at my first duty station (Germany). Awesome vid.
My grandfather was a Cavalryman and a stable sergeant from the days the Cavalry rode horses. He then worked as an adjutant for then-Colonel Patton, and Colonel Wainwright when they commanded his unit. During the war he worked on MacArthur's staff. I remember my grandfather's Cavalry tattoos, especially the one with a horse's head peering through an inverted horseshoe. I really wanted tattoos like these, but my grandfather said "You should grow up to be a gentleman, and gentlemen don't have tattoos." I then said "You aren't a gentleman?" He laughed and said "I'm one of the most stupid people there ever was." He added "Tattoos are how stupid people show off, a gentleman never has to show off."
I just ended my enlistment and now I’m in college and I can’t wait to go back in , I think about it everyday
Thank you for your service...
All the CPTs in bde 3 shop rowing until 22:00, BN S3 takes an hour lunch and goes home at 17:00...makes sense
Whoa!! Super honest vid CPT Coffen!! Spirit animal PHOENIX RAVEN!!!!!! HAHAH Love you guys!
I see that death by power point hasn't changed since I was in uniform. I retired in 2012. lol! Captain oh my Captain! ;)
Living that POG life breh
Definetly was in a unit with SFC Hoffmiester lmao. So when he said you probably have heard of me I lol'd.
Army officer: picks rage against the machine song as intro
The word captain has always called to me. It made me feel like a good balance of but I'd rather be good at both I can't not see my self near the sandbox but born in the trenches. I'd love doing PT with the team too though.
Well done, Capt. Cofeen!!!
I respect the hell out of that EMB and AA badge
Ohhhhhhh shit I didn’t even know this was your channel Ericka ! I was watching Nava then this video came up! Great video! Ps I heard SGT Hill and I’m like wait? Is that who I think it is? Then you popped up 😂
Staff Life! Gotta love it...👍🏻🇺🇸
He’s at Bliss! I recognize the Barracks and some of El Paso surroundings
Aric Wilson For Sercuirty reasons, why did you say that 🤫
That’s OPSEC I work in S2
Calm your tits spec ops keyboard commandos, for starters, giving out the base name on the internet is no inherent danger. Because the installation is heavily guarded as any other installation on the face of this ball of water. Secondly nothing he said was top secret or yankee white classified intel. So in other words, calm your tits.
Oh shit same city. I will definitely sup him if I see him
@@ryantran7539 for security reasons? lol 2:34
god bless the troops
we love and miss your support through the pandemic
Amazing video!! I love it.
whats cool AF is.. under the "u" in US ARMY the DARK part closest to it looks like a soldier with a rifle and a helmet in a firing position
great video man, i loved it
Wow nice place. I remember I was in for 4 years and stayed in a room probably as big as your closet.
I’m in a BSB as well. This is basically what all our officers do. Then in the field they all sit in the TOC and stare into each other’s eyes lol
Samantha Glenn lmao yes
He kept that PT belt on while he bench pressed. Safety first.
this dude living that easy easy life man
Can’t forget that reflective belt indoors lol
lol that bit about execution couldnt be more accurate.
SFC HOFF I was stationed w/at Ft.Stewart, GA. Great NCO, awsome leader, and good friend.
I was at ft Stewart to, 1986 and part of 1987. Hinesville was a shitty little town back then, probably still is
Could you include more cuts? Who tf edited this thing.
As a SPC, I can't wait to commission next year as an LT after completing the ARMY's AECP.
Hooah!
What's the AECP?
@@ybfam8019 The Army's *AMEDD Enlisted-Commissioning Program*
It allows the opportunity for E4s and higher to earn their BSN then commission as an 2LT.
hows it going?
@@jollthebro Thanks for following up! I promoted this year to CPT. I am currently a 66S (ICU RN) who's working on my 66F (CRNA) / LTHET package.
@@jjlatinopedia Oh sick! And 66S.. that’s awesome, currently still in highschool but got one year left until ROTC, going to try to go for either MP/EOD so maybe in another 5 years I can come back and tell you how that goes!! Thank you for your service, and thank you for responding!
Must be nice to go to the gym instead of formation pt. How I hated formation pt.
Awesome video sir. Going back in service
I’m not sure what your relationship to Alphalete is sir but that was my go to gym for two years before I joined March 2018. That made me watch the whole video. Oops I just realized that we’re in someone else’s channel but I am content nonetheless. 14G HOOAH!
Dude at the beginning I thought you were the character Shades from Luke Cage lol
I was a 1st Lieutenant in the regular army in a BCT Company, and I always did PT with the troops, but the NCO's ran it, I was kind of just there. My company commander rarely did PT with the troops.
My names Aj, im leaving this month to go to the marines. Which ill do 8 years of service. I just got to say it man, badass intro fam.
How the hell do you get so motivated to work out? I will be commissioning and it feels like everything on me right now I don't have enough time to work out, but you obviously do!
Watching this video makes me miss the Army.
The comment section is why the army tells people to keep social media separate from military, either you have idiots who complain about a brief glimpse of a cac card, bag him for being a ranger who didn’t deploy to combat, or the 99% who just don’t know wtf they are saying.
Seriously, the uniform is one side of his life and he is trying to educate the people about that side.
And the Not doing P.t. With his soldiers, let’s be honest if he was a commander not doing pt he wouldn’t put it on video, which he clearly isn’t. Seriously a fresh from basic Private has more sense then some people
Can't make it through a single sentence without an edit. First thing... I'm going to do... this morning... is go down to... our brigade... legal office. OMFG!
Well i mean tbh it is better than him waiting trying to figure out what to say and waste time but i see what you mean
Thank you for your service and sacrifice. I’m engaged to an army soldier he’s deployed I would like to see what my fiancé daily activities. My mom is a retired captain of the army dessert storm
Great Editing
Thanks!
When I start my day I make sure I have a glass of coffeen
Shot out to the warrant officer from 2nd cav Germany 🇩🇪 always ready !
I hope you are still serving our country, Captain.
Awsome Video and thank you for your service! i just had a question iam currently enlisted in the Navy and shipling out to basic in acouple days iam just curious how can you maitain a clean diet/meal prep while serving active duty? after bootcamp
christian garcia like any other job.
All these people hating on this officer but they really do not how much it sucks to work on the 3 shop lol much respect from an S1 clerk!
COLE WORLD office work vs manual labor in the heat? Lol okay
XD XD XD ooooookay
Yeah its a totally different kind of suck. Those staff CPTs get shit on and row non stop. I had a buddy who came back from ranger school and said it was fun to have a break from
The plans shop lol.
My bro is a adjunct general officer...you guys got it easy
Wish I could go to the gym for pt
Sir! You are awesome! LOL
I thought your name was Captain COFFEE but then i saw COFFEEN
Sir, can I ask how you got your Ranger School slot? Were you combat arms before and rebranched to Med or does Med somehow get really lucky and get slots? I'm FA btw.
Believe me people he has a kush job, not all officers get to sham like this
Lol facts
That’s why he can go to the gym for hours. If he was in a real officer position with field exercises. Those gains would be gone
Timothy Wood fact’s, bit always depends what he’s got for the week or what not and mos dependably kinda.
My officers I work with in the shop are constantly busy...
Timothy Wood that shit’s pretty cash money
And? He earned it, OCS isn’t easy
Much respect soldier. Thank you for your service!!!!
Why go to formation in OCPs just to change into APFUs at the gym? Lol
Life of an Officer they do as they please... even if thats ass backwards
😂😂
Probably so they don’t get asked why they are leaving PT area.
He probably likes the feel of the PT uniform. The fabric and style is not going to make a difference if you're wearing your PT gear or if you're wearing sweats and a tank top.
Anything you see on “Saks On 5th Ave” website I can get you for almost 1/2 off. I will also have the receipt in hand to show proof of interest and authenticity. Add me on IG:@Dizzy_Dells exchange pictures and info on items.
P.S: I also have a special for Active military and military veterans.
My former commander. Down to earth
This is the most accurate depiction of an officers life that I’ve seen on RUclips so far:
1. Don’t do PT with your guys (however I’m sure you told your NCO’s that they need to take the joe’s on a five mile run because since you’re POG’s like 4 dudes probably have a failing PT score. And that happens every day basically.)
2. You get to go to the gym while your guys probably never get a chance to step into one unless it’s on their own personal time.
3. You are really aware of your ranger tab.
4. You are REALLY aware of your ranger tab.
5. You spend your life behind a screen and make it seem like you’re busting your ass all day, but really, it’s just you’re brain getting fried basically because of all the Curve application.
6. Stand up desk? I’m sure that was a topic of conversation in the morning brief while you showed up to pt in civies.
7. You’re just a massive tool. Most of them are.
You must not be in the military to see hes a Medical Officer and not a line officer. Stupid fuck.
Sucks to suck lol
bruh hes a Staff Officer which means that he doesn’t command soldiers stupid fuck
Totally knew this guy in high school!
thank you for your service. Are you in a slot usually held by a MAJOR?
he is no longer in!
Iam proud of all of you

I see you at Alphalete! I’m thinking about commissioning as an officer in the Navy after I graduate this year. Any thoughts
That's a UofA wildcat tattoo!
Come on sir you very well know additional duties in the Army are called "Voluntold" Thanks for your service.
BUILD THE WALL!!! BIG LEAGUE!!!
So many junior enlisted, the NCOs usually know better, really don't understand the commitment it takes to be an officer in the military. They just think they just get to wear the better uniforms, have the better quarters and boss people around just because they went to college or some such. And it's sooo much more. More pressure to produce and perform on a consistent basis more so than enlisted ranks.
My experience with the latter consisted of up to E4 active duty Air Force and then up to E6 in the California Army Guard. There I spent six months in CMA/OCS before deciding being an officer was not for me.
No, they didn't kick me out. I was consistently top 10% in mycadet class in everything except PT and even in that was 20% and I consistently met standards. I just realized the duty and extra time, especially in the Reserves or Guard that is required of an officer was not for me. So I resigned and went back to my Cav Scout unit as the E5 I was then. Of course I was ribbed for several months, mostly by being called "3rd lieutenant", for having come back, but I was quite happy as an NCO and finishing up my Guard time as an E6.
So I basically really respect people that can put up with, what I consider to be, the BS that comes with being an officer.
Obviously that doesn't mean I liked or respected every officer just because they were an officer. I ran into a number of guys who were like that major in the Clint Eastwood movie Heartbreak Ridge. But of the decent ones, and most were, drilling down and understanding what their job was gives you a better appreciation of it. and in my case happy that I wasn't doing it
Nice to meet you sir.
why does the audio cut off at some points in the video -_- smh...
