- A Singapore Airlines flight that made an emergency landing in Bangkok on Tuesday had fallen into an air pocket in Thai airspace before it encountered turbulence, with one man killed and seven people critically injured on board, a senior airport official said.
Suvarnabhumi airport general manager Kittipong Kittikachorn told a press conference a 73-year-old British man died during the incident, likely due to a heart attack, while head injuries were sustained among seven people critically injured. One crew member was hospitalised, he said.

Why are you calling out the airline????????????? People are always told to remain strapped in.
They’re not calling out the airline, just stating which flight it occurred on.
It is not the airline!!! It is weather... Think or read before comment please
RIP to the poor passenger. The turbulence would have to come from nowhere expected for the impact to become so severe.
Who said it was an impact ? Might have been a heart attack for all we know so far
Till this day as a full grown adult, I'm still very scared of turbulence.
@@tillyt4054 Some of the panels were broken through.
@@tillyt4054it’s in the description of the video
it was a brit who had a heart attack
That’s why it’s better to keep seat belt on at all times
who doesn't?
@@gundarvarr1024 As a flight attendant, most people.
As a passenger who always using flight 20% of passenger always open their seat belt unless there are some turbulence announcement.
@@PEACE4EVER92 safer to keep it always on, you never know when it hits and how strong it can be
Then you suffer an embolism a couple days later because you didn't walk around for circulation
Does this not emphasise that when seated keep your seat belt fastened at all times, cabin crew state this during the safety procedure.
Please remove the word killer flight not an appropriate title.
It’s a literal description of what happened. Are you ok? Show me on the doll where the words hurt you.
@@steveo4991so its ok for this flight to be called a killer?well,i wont taking this flight for sure.
@@TheProgear Is a car crash that kills someone not a killer crash?
A fatal accident, or "KILLER crash," can occur for a variety of reasons. However, the term "KILLER car" has an entirely different connotation, implying that the driver intentionally sought to harm someone. The title "KILLER SIA flight" is misleading because it is unclear whether the reference is to pilot negligent or an incident involving severe turbulence. A more appropriate title would be "SIA flight experiences severe KILLER turbulence," as this conveys the intended meaning more clearly.
@@TheProgear There’s no implication of anything, just that someone was killed on a flight. You’re reaching. It’s not that deep.
He must have had underlying health issues, you don’t just die from turbulence.
What kind of inappropriate title is this. The root cause of the incident is because of CLEAR AIR TURBULENCE, which cannot even be tracked at all, there is nothing else the pilots could have done differently
Unfortunate, but a remote risk of air travel. Keep you seat belt on to minimize it.
TALK TV!! Can you not with the silly Clickbait title!!!!! Very distasteful of you to create such unnecessary drama. Its Turbulence!! What killer flight?
The flight killed someone. Not clickbait at all
Still the killer word should not be used at all!
You have characters like @steveo4991 defending them....
Heart attack and critically injured flight then.
Fasten your seat belts next time for the entire route, not just for a moment
Cannot believe someone actually filmed someone being carried out on a stretcher. How would you feel if someone filmed you when you were at a low point?
Stop saying killer flight. Thats not appropriate
That's why I always keep my belt on.
i always take mine off. MILE HIGH BABY
keep your seatbelt on not your trouser belt
This is why they need to have individual seatbelt sensors that can tell the crew when the belts are not engaged. Looking at the damage, many people flew up and then rapidly came crashing back down. Depending on the angle this is what probably caused the fatality.
What an insensitive and ridiculous headline, it's no one's fault! Clear air turbulence is not a predictable event and severe weather is always a potential risk
That’s why they tell you keep your seat belt fastened at all times when you are seated even if the sign is off. I am very sure that the folks with their seat belts on walked away without a scratch albeit a bit traumatized.
SEATBELTS, SEATBELTS, SEATBELTS! It's the passengers responsibility to keep seat belt on
Remember the WEF don't want you flying
He is 73 years old..
What do you mean by “KILLER” Singapore Airlines Flight SQ321? What are you trying to imply? Do you need to sensationalize a misfortune? Do you need to send your reporters back to school to learn how to write and do proper reporting?
They’re implying that… someone was killed… on a flight… because that’s what literally happened?
@@steveo4991 Please don't play with words! It makes a difference when you say killed or died
@@sk-qj7zv How about YOU take your own advice. Or do you need me to define “killed” for you? How about “literally”, since you don’t seem to understand what that means either?
This media should not use ‘killer’ flight to sensationalise the tragic incident! Very irresponsible
Turbulence ain't no joke
who is the Flight Captain ?
Unlucky for those who went for washroom at the wrong time. Remember to always fasten you seatbelt!!
What a stupid click bait title! ‘KILLER’ flight…
Turbulence is Mother Natures fault not the plane.
Pilot can reroute the flight if the bad weather
Very likely pilot error, Singapore Airlines will be investigated
@@Markpaul9 wouldn't say very likely. bad turbulence can be unpredictable
@Markpaul9 people who pass away from turbulence issuss have been reportedly proven to have heart issues when officials looked at past medical problems or an inspection of the heart after death.
@@Durian007pilot cannot single handed reroute the flight.Turbulence can be a sudden distraction although flights ahead can report and warn
Maybe the passenger was in the toilet or waited outside toilet when the turbulence happened.
Turbulence “is ok” just put the seatbelt and nothing happen
Always keep your seat belt ON all the time while you’re sitting!
So what if you need to go to the toilet?
Sensational titles "KILL" credibility.
Under a hot sun. Extreme hot air rises high up--- then the Sun sets, it cools very suddenly and drops toward earth. Where is the surprise?
Pilots know beforehand when they are heading into turbulence and usually make a PA. Not sure what happened here, but always keep your belt fastened. My pet peeve is passengers unbuckling and gathering belongings from the overheads while the plane taxi's thinking they'll deplane sooner.
Certain turbulence cannot be seen on weather and visually. Singapore pilots are some of the world's best. Just a horrible, horrible tragedy
@@caseydykes117 Fair enough. Singapore has been a top 5 airline for decades.
@@siamiam4306this region is known for rough weather. Clear turbulence can happen any time . Pilots cannot see it .
guess what TalkTV, 'killer' ain't a good word, let's hope you change it.
I'm from Singapore 🇸🇬
God heals all the injured passengers
So horrible to film this and post it on the internet.
Disgraceful title
Loss of 6000 feet alt in under 3 mins also calls for probing any mechanical defects😮
Just said possible heart attack.
This title will make people to think more…it’s unusual to have no warning with such severe turbulence…this could be a result of man error (pilot)….no matter how premium you pay…man factor will always have it’s say…but lets wait for the investigation cover up because Singapore is good at cover up
So what nobody lives for ever
sensationalist title for this video.
What a stupid title!
Love how everything has to be censored if anyone puts anything on social media but talkTV just out here showing you a dead person getting carried out of a plane
Was she actually dead?
dont try to sprout nonsense, the one who is dead is a 73 years old british man, and the video show a young woman being carried out.
@@davidpigott9958 labelling it a ‘killer’ flight n showing human hole in seat in front and all blood for if not
Talk and explain then FFS.
in this day and age surly planes can avoid turbulance by looking at there radar its a terrable feeling going through turbulance and i am sure the pilots do it for fun so the passenges wet there selfs.
Rip🙏
Boeing fly-by-wire flight control systems at it again!
How weird is it that the day Singapore Airlines announced bonuses for its staff the next day this tragedy happens?
Darwin awards loom. Buckle up.
From turbulence to ambulance
I wonder if the insurance company will pay up considering it was a act of GOD. Probably not. Another reason to kerp your seatbelt fastened.
Passengers fault..
