I've got a 460 in my F-150 and was wondering. Do i need the metal valley pan with gasket all in one or can i just use the ones like you're installing in this vid with out a valley pan?
You can use either. I would suggest using the one with the valley cover for the lesser chance of the gaskets being oil soaked overtime, leading oil seeping from the gasket into the intake runners and being burned. If you do use the performance gaskets like we did, put some silicone around the intake runner ports to prevent this. Also, put some silicone on the intake bolts to prevent oil seepage because they aren't drilled blind. Good luck! Feel free to ask more questions and get that rig on the road!
What is the white insolation or whatever it is, on the bottom side of the hood???
It's silver paint from the previous owner lol. Definitely an interesting choice... there are a couple of other spots on the truck that have some questionable body repairs🤣🤣🤣
