    Thanks for watching guys, I know this video will likely not get many views because most people don't care for Fallout 76, but I have plans to make many more videos to follow up on the cliffhanger in this one. Also, you don't have decode the message at the end. Here is the morse code that played at the end: -- --- ..- -. - / .-- . .- - .... . .-. .-.-.- .-.-.- .-.-.- / --- ..-. ..-. .-.. .. -. . (you'll still have to put it in a translator, I'm not going make it too easy 😉)

    7:17 The death of the radio host was honestly a really chilling thing to hear, and something I honestly wanna hear more of: The perspectives of the civilians on the day the bombs dropped. Going about their day one second, and in the next their whole world is turned upside down or they're simply gone.
    Just another early morning for the radio host (lets call him Jacob), reading out a script between songs from their newest sponsor: Nuka Cola Light. Jacob hears the air raid sirens in the distance, but shrugs them off, assuming they're simply another drill, and continues reading.
    Then, only seconds later, the broadcast is interrupted by a loud bang and a blinding light from the window. Jacob shields his eyes for a moment, looking outside when the light subsided a bit to see the unmistakable figure of a mushroom cloud in the distance, taller than a skyscraper. The image of death itself.
    Before his final words of "Oh God" can escape his lips, Jacob is vaporized in an instant as the radio station is blown off its foundations. The channel goes silent...

      The only issue with this is the fact that nuclear weapons produce a burst of electro-magnetic radiation across the entire spectrum, from sub-1.42MHz radio due to the x-ray burst all the way through to high-energy gamma from electron-positron annihilation of decay products. This pulse of electro-magnetic radiation, or Electro-Magnetic Pulse, EMP for short, would travel outwards at the various speeds of light in an atmosphere with varying atmospheric opacities, but there would be sufficient low-opacity, high energy radiation to shut down any broadcast station at the exact instant the radio host looking out the window saw the flash. That flash IS the EMP. Some is radiated in visible light, enough you will probably go blind unless you witness a reflection of the flash over the horizon via clouds.
      This means that the exact instant the photons that tell you something terrible has happened is the exact instant you lose your ability to communicate via radio about it. Human reaction time can't hope to keep up with the speed of the pulse, as a photon is easily capable of circumnavigating the entire planet in the span of a single human blink, a mean-average blink duration being nearly long enough to do it twice. We blink faster than we flinch, and we flinch faster than we think. By the time you can process the thought "that's a nuke", even if you were EXPECTING it, it's too late to share your confirmation with anyone beyond earshot of a bullhorn, and they can probably see the same thing you are.
      In the event of a nuclear explosion, break the window of the nearest building, climb through as quickly as you can, even if you have to land in a heap on the floor, then immediately head to the corner of the room the same side as the blast. The blast will go through the broken window more forcefully and the airpressure in the rest of the room will spike. Those two corners are the only ones marginally protected from the extreme overpressure and supersonic winds. Point your feet into the corner to mitigate the damage to your torso as the building becomes shrapnel and you get picked up and thrown like a ragdoll as the pressure wave rolls past leaving a low-pressure wave behind it. If you still somehow have your bearings and mobility, it's now time to lie flat again, head facing the mushroom cloud, toes pointed the other way. The low-pressure region will collapse soon, meaning you're about to get caught in the less powerful, but still dangerous, implosion wave. Your biggest danger will be fast moving, ground-hugging shrapnel. You better hope the thickness if the tread on your shoes and the point of your toes is enough to protect your feet, because a 200mph toothpick will bury itself in a steel roadsign, and some of those 'toothpicks' are going to be more than three feet long. If you manage to not be dead or dying from blast effects at this point, congratulations! You have mere minutes before it starts to rain... a lot. Whatever you do, don't let the rain get into your mouth and nose. Run for shelter, then dry yourself off THOROUGHLY and discard your improvised towel PERMANENTLY. It will be highly radioactive and will kill you in less than an hour. You need distance and shielding. Don't drop that at your feet, throw it as far away from your rainshelter as you can without getting yourself wet. Stay away from the rainwater. This shower is caused by the extreme pressure and temperature changes causing moisture to precipitate out. As soon as it stops raining, you need to find semi-permanent shelter with clean air and water. If you can't find either, I hope you have a gas mask, water purifier, and a frankly absurd number of filters for both in a backpack you never leave the house without. The next step is to outlast short-halflife fission products. The shorter the half life, the more radioactive it is. After around three weeks, all of the most dangerous isotopes you can outlast will have decayed to less radioactive isotopes. Congratulations! You're now a real-life Fallout player. Only problem: We never invented RadAway, or RadX.

    If only in regards to the food situation they found the schematics for the turbo-fert fertilizer machines. Instant harvestable crops in the matter of moments. Convert the golf course into a farm, set the robot gardeners to tend to the crops and instruct them on the use of the fertilizer grenades to automate the quickened harvests. Water could still pose some issues, but as the Lake above Charleston is still present with the dam intact, they could set up purifier systems.

    • @enclaveofficerz3245
      @enclaveofficerz3245 Год назад +26

      I would be highly skeptical at the long term feasability of the turbo fert fertilizer machines. At some point they could be rendered ineffective due to the different vitamins required to sustain healthy crop growth, either too much of some vitamins and not enough of others, or soil contamination from the nuclear bombs that dropped could highly weaken the effectiveness.

    • @hiddendesire3076
      @hiddendesire3076 Год назад +19

      @@enclaveofficerz3245 Well yeah, long term there would be feasibility issues. Probably due the main nutrients needed for a crop that has been replanted there repeatedly using up all available quantities in the soil due to a lack of crop rotation to revitalize the soil. That said if they are able to incorporate any of the surviving agricultural families into the governing bodies overseeing the harvest and cultivation of the fields, perhaps that could be avoided to a degree before the more mutated crops we know now began to spring up. That all said, it could at least alleviate the increased demands during the initial hump of it all as they start getting things organized. With a steady supply of food and water, most of the masses would start to settle down somewhat. Avoiding stupid maneuvers like confiscating the arms of the civilians by instead conscripting them into militia forces could instead instill a sense of duty and pride into them, uniting them in a collective effort to rebuild and protect. Bandits would still need to be dispatched, but with concentrated efforts to quell the main offenders, while showing that such methods aren’t needed for surviving could help squander any further attempts of gang formations outside of say former inmates or more radical groups. Sadly the Toxic Valley would still be such, due to the actions of that one guy who added the toxins to the factories resulting in the ensuing ecological disaster. Not much can be done to prevent it, as it seemed to be more of a surprise to many in the area. The Free States would still be an issue for any efforts to control the area, along with Taggerdy’s group who may have still received the transmissions from Maxson along with other groups in the area. Also, I find it odd that Vault 79 was not mentioned in this whole ordeal given the internal plan of the government for rebuilding. 76 I feel was more understandably so as we were supposed to provide both a labor force and the means to rebuild the population, which at the time due to supplies would not be optimal.

    Enclave did survive... in MODUS. I think he'll play a big role in future DLC. It must be remembered that MODUS is not responsible for the loss of communication with the command. It was MODUS, who get rid of the dangerous elements. MODUS stabilized the situation in the bunker, which allowed for the subsequent use of tactical nuclear weapons and getting rid of the SBQ (as if with the help of the player, he fixes what the crazy president and inept scientists botched). It is behaving as he was programmed. It continues to recruit new members and is really just waiting (along with the player crew) for someone to return to either take command or make contact with the chains of command.

      Pretty much the Boneyard, Shady Sands, and Jucktown become the dominant powers in Southern California. This would probably lead to a larger war between all three powers. It's likely having one from an Empire afterward.
      In Northern California, the Enclave would still continue to quietly exist.
      (Assuming that this takes place after Fallout 2.) Likely still having Autumn senor take the majority of the forces to Raven Rock. The reaming forces likely continue to exist.
      The Brotherhood would likely continue isolating themselves from the wider world.
      By the time of New Vegas. The Southern California Empire likely meets Ceaser's Legion which leads to more.

    Okay so the biggest things that have happened or are most likely to happen, that I can see so far are
    1. Without Thomas Eckhart the Shorchbeasts are never made (Or if they are it's much further down the line)
    2. The Cutthroats as we know them are never formed (It's possible they form a raider tribe in Morgantown however with the students at the high school and the university its unlikely they will have much impact)
    3. While this is in the early weeks and months of the apocalypse The Responders and Charleston are likely to survive up to when Vault 76 is opened due to again the Cutthroats not being formed thus preventing the dam from being blown up
    4. Senator Blackwell isn't killed by Agent Grey as Agent Grey is most likely dead already (Leaving Blackwell as the highest-ranking West Virginian official still alive)
    5. West Tek's Research Center in Appalachia is most likely still producing Super Mutants so The Enclave will still have to deal with that (Not to mention they will probably have to purge Huntersville)
    6. It's likely that The Enclave will come into contact with the Secret Service stationed in Vault 79 (The gold reserve from Fort Knox will probably be one of the biggest things they could recover)
    7. While it was never stated in this video I can't imagine the Enclave would give up the G.E.C.K but either way, it's unlikely Harper's Ferry will attack the Vault with the Enclave present thus preventing The Mire from being made (not to mention it's even more unlikely Vault 94 will ever open again due to their experience with the Enclave)
    8. the Free States will most likely be In open opposition to the Enclave (I mean they already hated Vault-Tec so I can't imagine they would treat The Enclave any differently)
    So that's what most likely has and will happen of course this is all the opinion of a Senior in high school so take this all with a grain of salt and besides this isn't my video this is Omegas video which is incredibly good (Seriously if you haven't, watch his other videos their amazing)

      Most of this is correct, the only points of note being:
      Agent Grey isn't dead. There's likely still other senators alive as the Charleston Capitol Building remains intact. The Enclave are the ones that restarted production of the Supermutants under orders from Eckhart. The Mire in Fallout 76 was caused by the explosion of The G.E.C.K in vault 96, so with the Enclave taking it, there won't be a mire.

      @@TheOmegaInitiative I didn’t know the Enclave restarted the super mutant project so thanks. And I meant Senator Blackwell being that he had a 71% vote in the election against governors Evans and considering Evans disappeared before the Great War Blackwell would probably be considered the rightful governor and his presence would give legitimacy to the council the other senators formed.

I honestly hope to God that General Swafford(?) comes out on top in the internal power struggles - or failing that, Ellen Santiago from the canonical Enclave reinforcements. Say, instead of the brotherhood being in new vegas, it could be the enclave (and I dont mean Gannon's group of veterans, I mean an actual detachment, not as big as the Nvarro base but still). Would they have also gone for Helios 1? Would they have been allies of Mr. House (considering he IS pre war and was the model capitalist of pre-war america)? Etc

      @@socialaccount0000 I doubt Mr. House would ally with the Enclave as he would likely see them as the ones responsible for the apocalypse. If the Enclave were in Nevada I would assume they wouldn't be involved in much as they would be much smaller than the major powers of the region and would probably just want to leave the region to regroup with any remaining forces.
