Absolutely. If Foster is going to bear the brunt of criticism when things were bad - he is entitled to the accolades of improvement following the changes (including new assistant coaches) that he implemented. The buck stops with him for both the good and the bad.
@@stevenbissett so you would give labour props for getting the country back to where it was before they ruined it? wow youre easy with your gold stars. He dragged us through mud, unnecessarily. Now the new coaches are bringing us up from the hole he put us in and we should praise him? no thanks.
Coaching is risk and reward - and currently the ABs are playing a fantastic brand of rugby. Credit must go to the Coaching staff ! Hoping for more sucess in the Rugby World Cup. Lesss gooo New Zealand !!!
No he doesn't. Foster's done nothing he still looks permanently sleepy and uninspiring, he hand picked John Plumtree and Brad Mooar then threw them under the bus when results were shocking. NZRU didn't want egg on their faces if they sacked Foster so they installed Jason Ryan and Joe Schmidt as assistants and we've all seen the improvement since those two came on board.
That’s definitely accurate. I wonder how Mooar an Plumtree are going now ?? They were picked by Fozzie an gave up the roles they had at the time to be a part of the All Blacks. Hope they’re both okay

Players are a better fit in there positions. The coaches have cemented them into organised structures and they all seem confortable playing consistently where they all currently are. Theres def more contrast. This def isnt the same all blacks from all those months ago.
The boys are usually too tired when it comes to the Northern Hemisphere tour - it's late into the rugby calendar and they've been away from their families for a long time
the abs were always ranked very highly even in between coaches. He caused the drop. He only had one choice but to turn it around from the lowest ranking ever. No one can get those losses back.
Were the two boks that knocked themselves out on Caleb Clarke's legs considered a rugby accident as well? Because that makes sense. I think in terms of Williams getting knocked out I think JK broke it down perfectly, the twist at the end was the problem....it's not just a charge motion. Compare this one to Braydon ennors against the blues a couple of years back. The motion is completely different
Most abuse has come from down south tbf, if the abs win this wc in thus era of evolved professional northern hemisphere it will be our greatest win EVER.
Absolutely Fossi turned things around. With help of course but he got that help. His team limited a rampaging Wallabies to 7 points. The Wallabies will improve as will the AB's. The current gap between the two teams is where they start.
Yes, of course Foster deserves credit. The real question is whether fans are happy to see our top coaches go overseas and help other nations improve to our detriment.
@gregbooth1551 I'd agree they come back with a fat wallet, but that's about it. I'd like to see eligibility rules being applied to coaches as well as players at national level.
@@stevenbissett sadly for us European footy is miles better than it was back in the day, we used to laugh at their comps compared to super rugby, but I DONT ANY MORE. Look at the Irish...the team that couldn't beat us over a century, now their club teams dominate Europe or at least compete with the French, and have beaten us 3 times now...that's a reflection on how far they have come with big money.
Not necessarily- Coaches don't make a good team the Players make a good team. However, don't jump the gun they are yet to play the French. - Congrats so far to keep the trophies in the cabinet.
Depends who you ask. Most All Black fans will give credit to foster for turning the team around, however there still seems to be an extremely salty bunch petulant children from down south that just can’t get over the fact that Scott Robertson isn’t the current coach and that a crusader isn’t the current ABs captain, their hatred for foster will never go away and will not be happy until this team crashes and burns at the World Cup just so they can say “I told you so”.

Well said Phil.
I agree with what that guy Phil said
accolades of getting back to rank 2? we were number 1 80% of the time.

Absolute Blinder by Scott Barrett great game by all , patience and discipline the big key to the score of this game. FOSS GREAT WIN!!
What Foster needs is the World Cup final. Win or lose.

No - Ryan and Schmidt do
So will you blame Ryan and schmidt if they start losing?
@@troymomma No, he will probably still put the boot into Foster because he can't help himself.

I think Ross Karl should be given the Breakdown hosting role. Along with TJ he is the best sports journalist on TV.
I just watched abs v france 2021, the matchday 23 v France next month will have 13 changes from that game, 14 if Dmac isn't on the bench
That's interesting indeed.

Foster deserves to be ordained a saint for what his so called fan,s put him through....shame on ye..?
As a coach that would be ideal to rest smith, and blood those two young ones. If they don’t go well then bring in brad Webber
The rugby version of Anthony Minichiello!!!
Good on you coach
Serious Bryn? Self awareness. He didn't make those coaching changes he was forced to make them.
