I am for the All Blacks all the way through, I am glad that the Razor Scott Robertson effect is having an obvious impact on the All Blacks improvement through Jason Ryan who will continue on with the next coaching setup. Both Joe Schmidt and Jason Ryan has made it tenable for Ian Foster going into the World Cup. It's great to see that the Foster era is making some amends to the tainting of our All Blacks Legacy. But in reality the Blame should not be on Foster but on NZR as in New Zealand Rugby for the blunder of appointing him. So last year NZR made the suggestion and decision to bring in Jason Ryan to join Joe Schmidt in the coaching box. Razor will be rejoined with his former forward coach to unleash what all ABs opposition are dreading. The announcement of Razor taking over has put the country at ease and given some peace of mind. May our men in black bring home the Web Ellis cup no matter who is in the coaches seat.

So as a STAUNCH AB follower I'll give my unbiased honest and simple opinion wether anyone agrees or not with MY opinion as much as you have a right to YOUR opinion. Foster is still avoiding the obvious. He didn't earn the right nor did he resurrect the current ABs form but for Schmidt and Ryans' HELP. Foster is going wether we win the RWC or not so enjoy what's left of his tenure and let the rightful heir to the throne restore respect and confidence back to where it belongs In the hollow club rooms with a few beers and a well earned celebration of the game we love.

And you don't rate highly other teams like England, Ireland, Argentina etc. Times have changed, youre still stuck in the same biases of the past where we thought Argentina or Ireland would've been a breeze. Even France.
And you're also biased towards Razor. Because you discredit Foster for everything he's ever done in the All Blacks coaching box since 2012. But highly rate Ryan and Schmidt who've never had the success he's had.
Ryan and Schmidt are great coaches. And if you rate them highly you should also rate Foster highly. But somehow just because Razor isn't head coach it measn Fozzie wasn't doing fuck all in the last decade where he's worked as the All Blacks attack and backs coach, and now head coach.
I bet if Wayne Smith also took on the job over Razor you lot will also discredit him of his coaching prowess just like Fozzie.

Watching these past three test matchs to start off the year you can see Jason Ryan & Joe Schmidt's influence & improvements in the teams performances & unlike last year where they were literally thrown into the Lions den after the Abs lost three straight they had no time to prep whatsoever so having a whole campaign this time around of Super rugby to assess the players, discuss game plans & strategies with Foster & the other coach's & build on from last year Ryan has turned our forward pack into a formidable unit once again & Abs attacking plays & offensive systems & structures is all Schmidts influence & you can see it in the Abs attacking game though they still have so much more to improve on Abs are peaking just at the right time!

Our attack is still very much Foster oriented and he's twice the backs coach that Schmidt is. Schmidt's style of attack is possession based, rarely takes risks and slow and steady notably with his Ireland team.
Foster has always coached a free flowing attack but now with an improved kicking game. Foster's dual playmaking system is coming to fruition as well.
You are not about to compare Foster one of the best attack coaches of all time to Schmidt who's a decent coach but his Ireland attack was nothing compared to Foster's. Even at the last World Cup the All Blacks dismantled the Irish like it was nothing

Absorbed pressure well and lashed out on attack well. We were patient and built phases rather than coughing the ball up. All in all a high quality performance by the all blacks and we ramped it up in the last 20 which we hadn’t seen this year.

Viewer comment: Biggest changes, Jordie at 12, his size and directness and simplifying his game. He's moved away from trying to do too much. Also much better communication in midfield with it looking settled for the first time since Conrad/Nonu.
Go back to the rugby pass interview with Ben Darwin that you guys did. "never experiment with the centres going into a world cup".
I think even less complicated than that is having a 12 that knows their role in the communication and direction of the midfield defense and WANTS to tackle has made a huge structural difference. You can stick Enor/Rieko/ALB outside him and it works, the reverse however does not.
Note: Scooter is pushing his claim for world player of the year, but don't take your eyes off Jordie. He's got his mojo back. I've said it a million times and it's probably cost the ABs a world cup. If he was never lured away from Canterbury he'd have been the dominant 12 we've been missing for 4-5 years. If the ABs go deep and in a WC and either of those guys is MotM in a final. Tough to look past.

The ABs have lacked that because the 12 has been injured whether that’s been Havili or ALB for 3-4 years with no consistency.
If Jordie went down to injury, you’d need someone like Crotty (is he eligible playing ITM?) he’s been in top form and is fit from playing in Japan.

The AB'S won that game, imagine that NO Black Person was allowed into the stadium, just try to imagine that scenario. The reciprocal game was held in Mt Eden Stadium and NZ was so tiny at that time, the Stadium was sand-bagged, barbed wired and mini-matchbox toy army tanks were deployed. I witnessed all of this and as a child, it was quite scary. However, I've learned the art of fighting the opponent and the art of grace in defeat, and winning. His claim that the ABs had some growing up to do reflects his ongoing inability to be accountable for poor performances. It's a flippant remark that's just bloody embarrassing. Foster credit? Credit for Jase Ryan and Joe Schmidt agreeing to join him. Look at their blue prints; Vs SA was the first time given up a lineout drive try since he joined , massive turnaround, Jase Ryan all over it, Crusaders Defence. Then look at the 20+ phases and then try, and the blindside attack, Schmidt DNA all over it. No coincidences here. Will only get back when Razor joins and brings a more "One team" culture, kick out some of the lingering bad habits, and players grossly out of position.

When the team loses all these Jason Ryan and Schmidt DNA goes out the window. When Fozzie was coaching the most dominant attack in history for years on end since 2012 where were you guys? Why not give credit to Fozzie then for helping us win multiple trophies with Hansen and now 4 Bledisloes and 4 RUGBY ChAMPIONSHIPS IN A ROW? It's just hypocritical. The way you give credit to Schmidt and Jase Ryan as assistant coaches you'd expect boundless more praise for Ian Foster because of his contribution to the ABs attack for the last decade.
Also where's the credit for his dual playmaking system? The kicking game that he's been trying to implement since 2019 to beat the Boks rush defense? Or are you only blind when it comes to that

@@ttoleafoa70 Interesting that you ignore referencing Foster losing a home series to Ireland and a home game to Argentina. Neither of those should have ever happened and can never be erased from a once near perfect record. They may well compliment each other but the fact remains that with the introduction of Ryan and Schmidt, foster looks a whole lot better than he did - otherwise they wouldn't have made him change his coaching staff. It was them or him and they went. Personally, I won't miss him when he goes. But as I said, who cares now as long as they keep improving.

    • @ttoleafoa70

@@Marius_vanderLubbe I don’t ignore that at all. But it just shows how entitled AB’s fans have become after the success that Foster has largely contributed to.
It wasn’t a near perfect record for years. You forget 1987 to 2011 the AB’s didn’t have a World Cup. And you also forget teams now are at a much higher level than they were back when that AB’s record was only really consistently challenged by Australia and the Boks.
You choose to ignore all the losses that Ryan and ESPECIALLY Schmidt has contributed to. But only put the microscope on Foster.
The fact is, coaches can’t do it on their own. Foster needed a good forwards coach. Just like how Hansen needed a good backs coach from 2012-2019 and he had Ian Foster handling the attack.
So idk how out of nowhere Ian Foster is shit. If Schmidt and Ryan ever had the CV and achievements Ian Foster had y’all would be licking their asses
