Need to make one of them total clips were you just plug it into the box and it does itself and do its own charging this Plug and Play even dummies like me can run it total of grit so we can get away from the electric company
Hey Gary, these Growatts have two versions of solar charge controllers. One version with lower voltage DC (also less expensive overall). The other version is higher voltage; I believe 250VDC is it's highest rating. Hope this helps 👍.
Growatt's wifi data logger is not real time maybe 15 mins behind. The dongle drops the wifi signal a lot even when you have a strong wifi connection. And if you don't have a battery com port connection the shine app will always show 100% SOC.
I am having issues getting my inverter to power on I have hooked up 240v and flipped the on button nothing happens. I have had my inverter and batteries in storage since 2019. Is there some kind of fuse inside the case that I would need to flip ?

Hi, thanks for your question. Generally, a precharge resistor is not needed. However, if your battery is continually triggering the BMS' short circuit protection when connected to your inverter, one would be required. This can happen due to some higher output inverters having larger internal capacitors that create the large in-rush of current which triggers the BMS protection, particularly when that high-output inverter is connected to a single battery, especially one that may be undersized for the inverter it's paired with. As long as your inverter is appropriately sized for your battery bank, a precharge resistor shouldn't be needed. They are not tied even in pass through mode. The system continues to use the built in auto transformer to provide the output neutral (no input neutral to even connect). This ends up having additional reactive power on the input side of the inverter potentially using more grid power in pass through than expected.

@@MaxLtd2010 nope, 3 weeks ago I spoke to RC who assured me to be the one to help. By now I can see the battery that was sold to me is obsolete. Also I see the growatt 3k kit is no longer offered on website. To me that means I’m possibly not the only one that could have same issue. Still waiting on assistance. Still no power.
