“I don’t need a guitar. I AM a rockstar.” These words showed just how much Chai had come as a character, wanting to be a rockstar and questioning if he was even capable of doing so to becoming so much more than he believed, modern gaming take notes, this is how a good character is made.

This game was such a refreshing breath of fresh air and it did something that a lot of modern games seem to forget. Hi-Fi Rush fully understands that it's a video game, and that video games are supposed to be fun to play above all else. Xbox has an amazing new franchise on their hands. I'd love to see more Hi-Fi Rush games in the future, and it'd be awesome if sequels explored different genres of music.

He thinks that the only reason he's with his new friends is because of the powers his arm gives him, but then realizes that the strength was within himself he whole time and that they put their faith in him and not his arm. More meaningful character development in this 5 minute scene than most modern main characters get in an entire game.

This game, unbelievably, skyrocketed to my top 5 games of all time as soon as I finished it. It is truly a masterpiece. From visuals, story, characters, music, gameplay, and even replayablity it ticks all the boxes in all the right places. If people haven't played this game, I URGE you to play this game as soon as possible. It is phenomenal and is EASILY a GOTY contender. Every character is unique and lovable and the villains are just that; villains. The game knows what it is and how to carry itself. It doesnt try to reinvent the wheel, it doesnt try to be something new, and it keeps everything in chaotically harmonic. Its strange but everything that feels goofy and emotional feel exactly that when they are supposed to be. It's refreshing to see what games can be when developers have the love and care sunk into a project they truly want the public to love as well. I genuinely hope that the devs and all those who worked on this game know just how much love this game is getting and how fast it's becoming an instant classic.

I'm imagining this scene but in a different way and for an OC I made up for Kyoryuuger named Yami Wazuki. Here's a bit of context for his backstory. When D was defeated by Daigo, his soul split in two and one of the halves became part of his soul which made him half human and half Deboss army. Now here's the scene I'll show. When the Deboss tries to control Torin with the dark song, they also control Yami since D's soul is a part of him. He even grows giant because of that half but during the giant battle, he fights the control because of the bonds he has with his friends and the human half in him and he breaks free from the control. He even says this when he's about to break free
    "I don't need D's power. I am Kyoryuu Navy!!"
