Fun fact: Zanzo’s VA in the Japanese dub of Hi-Fi Rush is none other than Wataru Takagi, the voice behind Okuyasu Nijimura from part 4.

@Obscure Wondering you should be. But in a research position, more often than not you should be using up your budget or your budget would be cut the next time because 'apparently you don't need that much'.
And honestly, pretty sure dealing with intruders aren't part of a research department's responsibility. That would count as reason for more budget.

I’ve always loved Zanzo just because he doesn’t give off the same “evil” aura as most of the other top brass of the company. Like he’s not a great guy at all, but I feel like if he had an environment to actually play around in unrestricted - like a computer simulation (not like the AR Space, like a creation application) he’d probably be able to make some amazing stuff. His biggest problem is how he wants everything done perfectly, and done right away; if you stripped that from his personality, he’d be an awesome ideas generator.

Games where the antagonist is constantly talking to you with a radio or something always seem to turn out good I don't know why. examples Borderlands 2 Portal 1 Portal 2 this

Theres only two things I disliked about him:
- He send parry drones (I am very bad at parrying)
- He didn't give me the gift basket (Cannot forgive him for this one)
God they really went full blast with the JoJo persona and it absolutely killed me from start to finish. Funniest boss I ever had the pleasure of fighting.

A fun fact, the director of this game is named "JOhn JOhanas"
One big complaint is the lack of boss fight from chapter 3 to 7. Zanzo definitely needed to be one.
he definitely did need one! a lot of things in the game do point to there being a few more intended boss fights and an entirely cut level, tho. seems like production was pretty troubled, what with the complete lack of advertisement and the nods the game makes to its own cut content. CNMN makes an explicit ‘it seems like the people who designed that giant robot put a lot of effort into it and you just didn’t get to fight it! weird!’ comment at one point, lmao. the game’s at least very aware that it’s got rough edges
Maybe the reason why he never got a traditional boss fight is because his entire stage is the boss fight

I know Zanzo is meant to be a walking Jojo reference but to me, he's more like Kickstarter dev who over promised features during the campaign, got a shitload of money, posted weekly updates for about a month then went radio silent, only to post an apology about a year later explaining that they'd ran out of funds and development is on indefinite hiatus until they can pawn the project off onto another dev
